The Lady of the Rivers, Phillipa Gregory

I enjoyed that one. There was a really good BBC adaptation of "The White Queen" a few years ago, if you can get hold of it. Rebecca Ferguson played the Queen. She is actually Scandinavian, I think, but you'd never know

Most of my understanding of that period of my country's history is from Shakespeare, Philippa Gregory and "The Tudors"

Erica Jong’s fear of flying

Is that the 'zipless fuck' one? What actually is that?

The Heartbeat of Wounded Knee ~~ Native America from 1890 to the Present

By David Treuer

For pleasure: A Stranger in the House
For learning: Three Sisters...about Catherine of Aragon, and Henry Viii' sisters, Margaret and Mary.

"Machines Like Me" by Ian McEwan. Really enjoying it, the alternative history, the slowly emerging but powerful plot, the science, the humour. Excellent.
