What Book Are You Currently Reading?

Dune by Frank Herbert
Tolkien’s Theology of Beauty: Majesty, Splendor, and Transcendence in Middle-earth by Lisa Coutras

How We Love - Clementine Ford

I’ve not read this, but have been doing a lot of other reading lately about adult attachment styles, which seems to part of what they are discussing here. I would be interested to hear your take once you’ve finished! :rose:

John Dies at the End series (again.) I would love to chat with fellow Dave Wong fans! Let me know here, so I can buddy list you for PMs. :)

Not sure I qualify as a fan, but I wasted hours at work reading the online version of John Dies At The End a bunch of years ago. Actually, I definitely don't qualify as a fan since I only just realized they made a frigging movie out of it. Although I am unable to think of the band Stryper without immediately thinking of some weird meat monster. I count this as a blessing.

In a similar but much more artsy vein I've started rereading "House of Leaves" by Mark Danielewski. It's much more high concept, but to my mind at least captures the same kind of "what the fuck is happening?" vibe. And recommended to me a long time ago by another Litster that I hold in high esteem, so you know it's good.

Just finished one and now starting.

I just finished “F*ck Like a Goddess.” By Alexandra Roxo.

I’m starting “Wide Open” by Gracie X..

I'm re-reading my way through the Horatio Hornblower novels by C.S. Forester. Really good stuff if you're into historical seafaring tales.
