Just Finished 'Broken Promise' (Linwood Barclay). Best book I've read all year. Seriously, I think Barclay is very good and don't understand why he is not more well known. I searched this thread and there are no references to him, other than mine. I do realize that some people read educational/intellectual material, whereas I mostly read for pleasure, but.... Curious to know if anyone else has read Barclay?
I'm reading this now and already looking forward to reading more of his books!
Nice! Good to hear a positive second opinion. Thank you. I've read 6 of his books and Broken Promise is not my favorite (but still very good).I'm reading this now and already looking forward to reading more of his books!
"Technopoly: The Surrender of Culture to Technology" by Neil Postman
I'm going to have to read this one.
It was published in 1992 but I heard about it just a couple of weeks ago. I think it's a very interesting read, despite the dating, and it posits some very good questions.
