Honestly I am not trying to stalk ADR. Some thing that gives me joy. I have a RP going on atm and I put to the others playing with me a question and it has them both flustered and lost. I enjoy keeping them off balanced like this.

Bubble wrap, love to pop em...bought a big roll of it at the UPS store and me and the kids had fun for hours...

If you get a roll of the quarter sized bubble wrap and put it on the floor, it's just like safe firecrackers when you stomp, jump or dance on them!!!

Something else that brings me joy, is my writing, which I haven't been inspired to do lately...but some of it, according to some people, is quite good.



Of course, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder"...so...

I posted a thread with some of it in the poetry board here, but got exactly 0 responses....hence my posting in the "cliquish" thread heh.

I sat on the patio tonight with my neighbor and watched the lightning show. It was amazing and the thunder was great. Almost better than the 4th of July. A lot of the lightning was inside the clouds and it looked almost like the scene in Close Encounters.

It was splendid.

i love to read, mostly fiction. i usually go thru two novels a week. and i love cooking and baking. i'm most famous for my shrimp scampi (real food) and sweet potato cheesecake (dessert).

i could show you better than i can tell you, but basically follow your favorite plain cheesecake recipe, add vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, and fresh lemon juice to your taste, add about 4 large sweet potatoes, chopped and boiled until mushy, then pureed in a food processor or blender with half a stick of butter so that there won't be any lumps or stringy thingies. then add 1/2 cup to a cup of heavy cream, depending on how dense you like your cheesecake, blend well (i use a big whisk), pour into a homeade graham cracker crust, and bake in a waterbath at 450 for 15 min, then down to 275 for an hour and a half or so. after it chills, i put a whole heap of toasted pecans on top cooked in a little butter and dark brown sugar to make a sauce. it's super yummy and more fattening than i'd care to know, lol.

I just gained 20 lbs. after your description, lol. Yummy I will try it when it is not so hot out. I avoid using the oven in this weather, Thanks!
