What do you like?

I like Joe's Goals.

Joe's Goals is a simple online habit tracker. You specify some habit that you'd like to acquire (or lose) and maybe apply a few tags (like profession, health etc...) Then you just click on that habit's box on the days that you actually follow through the corresponding action.

For your trouble, you will get a nice green check-mark on that box... assuming that you have set that habit/goal up as positive. If you don't check a box, you get oogatz. However, if the habit is a negative one (e.g. biting your nails) and you check it, you get a horrid little red x. You can give yourself multiple checks or clicks on a particular habit square (e.g. a square labeled; Brush Teeth... assuming that you brush more than once per day.) You receive a score of 1 for a check-mark, and a score of -1 for an x. At the bottom of each daily column, there is a tally of your net score (positive points plus negative points.) However, you can weight some habits more highly than others (e.g. assigning them more than one positive or negative points.)

The genius behind Joe's Goals is that we (at least Americans) have a deeply ingrained preference--where external validation is concerned--for little green check-marks over little red xs. Similarly, we have all been conditioned since early childhood to prefer a higher grade to a lower one. Thus, IMHO, you really don't have to exert as much conscious effort as with traditional To Do lists. Your inner neurotic (i.e. your unconscious--not subconscious; people tend to use that word incorrectly--mind does most of the heavy lifting once you set up your Joe's Goals page.

Of course, I'd never use my real name on this--or any other--internet site, where the the possibility of data mining is certainly in the offing.

That's pretty cool. I might make up one for my daughter!

I like watching a good scary movie, in the dark, with a friend to either scream with or cuddle up to, a bottle of wine or a beer, and the knowledge that we don't have to go to work in the morning so it doesn't matter how late we stay up :D

One of my favorite ways to spend an evening! I'm the only one who likes scary movies around here, so I'm invariably stuck watching them by my lonesome.

Yup, me too - although that is marginally better than having someone sitting there bitching and moaning about how 'there's no need to be scared, it's not real!'

The only one I can get to participate is my daughter, but she's 11, and invariably halfway thru the move, she gets a mite frightened and asks me to turn it.

I like driving through campus on the early spring days when the open areas are filled with young tight women sunning themselves while reading books.

I like waking up in the morning to find out its a beautiful sunny day like today

I was at NC State in the late 80's, and was high up in one of the dorms. We could look out over the practice soccer field, and every day in the spring it was covered in some simply delectable young coed flesh!
