What made you smile or laugh today? Part IV

A Momma who remembered a story about peach roses bought for my birthday and a picture sent... who perpetuated the tradition. <3

Seeing this image posted. Nice tits. It is the simple things in life that keep me amused from time to time.

I have alone time for the first time since December.

I predict beer, masturbation, and MasterChef Australia. At least.

Today was a good day.

It was a good day, because for once, just this once, the Grinch did not win.

As a child who heard the story of how the Grinch stole Christmas, I never knew he had any other name other than just "The Grinch." But now, I know what his name is.

So far, the Grinch has stolen Easter, has stolen many planned parties, events, concerts, festivals, and has stolen pretty much everything that gives people joy and brings people together. I had many things planned for the summer and fall. The Grinch stole all of them. And got away with it. But he didn't steal the 4th of July.

Oh, but he tried. Cities all across the state cancelled their public fireworks display, in deference to the Grinch. No fun allowed, keep your social distance, stay home in your foxhole, they told us. Only, this time we fought back. All across town, fireworks are going off as we speak. In fact, I can still see them from my window as I type this. Aerial bursts, explosions of color and fire and flame and noise. Each and every single block, all across town, fireworks displays happened in spite of the Grinch. Because all of the townspeople went down to the Simco Road exit, 20 miles east of town where the fireworks dealer is, and purchased the mortars, roman candles, and other aerial bursts, just for today. And instead of one big display, there were hundreds of them, all across town, for those who were forced to keep their social distance- they got their fireworks display. Neighbors faced each other across the street and lit off their fireworks for each other, and the whole town celebrated together, sticking it to the Grinch. Even the authorities, who normally frown upon such do-it-yourself fireworks antics, looked the other way.

So, the 4th of July happened. The Grinch tried to steal it, but he failed. Just this once, we beat the Grinch. Today was a good day.

Happy Independence day!

(Speaking of Simco Road: Shameless self promotion here; but check out my story with that title. There are no fireworks or BDSM in it though.)
