A friend of mine explaining to me what "Calgary Stampede" is ... and then getting up the courage (for me) to show off his beat boxing and dancing in public. ^__^

I think one of the greatest and sweetest ways someone can "love me" is including me in their life.

Despite agreeing that this year needs to include no commitments or romantic entanglements for either of us this guy makes me feel incredibly loved and special. I'm definitely smiling.

Riffing off Cookie's story elsewhere.... so I had a conversation with a dear sweet person today. I was trying to help them work out some things and where they fit. To make him feel more comfortable because i could tell he was beating around the bush (usually my job) I told him i'd name 5 typically hard to discuss topics and all he had to say was yes interest or no interest... but to take the pressure off they were all things I had done (not necessarily enjoyed...but done... so no embarrassment needed.)

So went through 1, 2, 3, pretty easily... got to 4 which was watersports and he said that yes he had interest. I asked ok... there are quite a few different motivations there so....
is it a marking thing?
a service thing?
or a humiliation/degradation thing?
He hemmed and hawed and really struggled with the answer and I told him he didnt need to give one now but take time to think about it and let me know.
Got to #5 and he replied "nah I have no interest in bodily functions" ..... um.... love.... you said you were interested in watersports.
.... "Oh... OHHHHHHHHHH!!! OH! NO! I mean... no not THOSE!"
oh honey did you think I meant like skiing? No WONDER you were confused about the motivation follow up!


We both laughed for a solid 5 minutes and came up with a number of ridiculous scenarios about humiliating jet skiing and the like. Definitely made my day. xD

Ladies and gentlemen, let it be known that today, 18 July 2020, for the second (or maybe third...) time ever in my life I was asked out!

I was stuffing my face at a cafe, a dude at the table next to mine started to talk to me and asked for my number and if I'd like to go out tonight or some other day.

It was probably due to the glitter toes.

(I said no, because he was too pretty and muscly for me to ever feel comfortable around him and a little young. He was not an asshole about it at all, and it's not like this happens to me very often, so it was a fun even if a little uncomfortable and unexpected event for me..)

It's not a place I go to all that often, so if he returns, it's unlikely I'll be there to witness it.
