I’m getting my hair trimmed today. It’s been almost 8 months again. I booked an extra something-or-other treatment to go with the trim because it means they’ll be fondling my head and hair longer.
I’ve really grown to love having my head and hair fondled. Who would have thought I have it in me? More please!![]()
Your time starts now!Damn, I wanted to be so productive today and now I have to sit all day here and wait for the 20 minute window where the picture of the result is online.

Oh my goodness you have a beautiful head of hair SeelaYour time starts now!
Nothing interesting, just ~10cm/4in trim. My arm is not long enough to get all the hair in the pic.

New smile: bought a painting.
Onion soup is also simmering. Can’t wait!
I think it was Iris who was going to use Bourdain’s recipe.Ooh enjoy your new painting!

I did steal the port idea and used it in mine too. Turned out really well.![]()
Oh great! Were you trying to buy a ready made stock from a high end deli? I totally get that, they often taste much better than my home made ones. I’m surprised Bourdain uses chicken stock though, i think a gutsy beef stock is a better companion to a French onion soupBourdain recipe worked out well.
I’ll try to find/make better chicken stock next time, but it does say so in the recipe. I just couldn’t get what I wanted from my usual place.
I think the restaurant side of the business is picking up speed again and they probably don’t have enough people in the kitchen yet to pick up the slack, so the deli side suffers a bit at times.
Yes, one of the best restaurants in town also run a deli of sorts where you can buy some of what they cook and serve.Oh great! Were you trying to buy a ready made stock from a high end deli? Nice! Sherry is good too if you dont have port and each portion gets a large round Gruyère covered crouton to float on top. It’s so simple but so delicious!I used beef stock and port in mine. Just had some for lunch, too.![]()
Short timer...Getting into "that's not my problem because I'm leaving in a few weeks" mode at work.
