I absolutely love watching squirrels. There are always lots in my garden. And now you mention it, I do always perceive them as looking happy.

Next best is the ducks and ducklings. When small they troop single file across my lawn each day (but never count them or you will notice how cruel nature can be). And now older, they tap on my glass door hoping to be fed!
