Learning that my 19yr old son , who has high functioning autism, can argue with me about something serious... And not get violent or resort to hostile name calling....

At the end of the argument, he hugged me!!! (Something he hates)

My 18 yr old is the same (high functioning autism). Not big on physical contact. Has extreme mood swings but it's always nice when he comes and apologizes after his outbursts. He tolerates hugs which I appreciate.
