A stuffed velveteen rabbit.
A single bag of Jack Link's Bacon Jerky.
A hug box of "snack bags" of Cheetos.
Finding out that it was as much her daughter's idea as hers.
That the rabbit is identical to the one that her daughter had gotten even before she was born and had been her favorite all this time.
That the bacon jerky because... well, bacon! ("And, you are NOT helping me change her diet!")
That the Cheetos because she doesn't really eat them anymore and was afraid I would do without now rather than swiping "just one. For quality control of course."
Because neither of them wanted me to feel alone tonight of all nights when she has to be there with and for her daughter and couldn't be here with me.
Knowing that I'm loved.
Feeling that I matter.
Oh, and a bottle of purple hair dye that I'm really not sure just what I'm expected to do with since I have very little hair left. On my head, at least.
