I LOVE it! I hope everyone finds this in their lives![]()

So do l....and listen to your heart.![]()

I once heard a story about twin souls....
One upon a time, before there were very many worlds in the galaxy we live in now, indeed, before there were many stars, back when the first giants burned in the cold deep of the ocean of space...there was a world with life on it much like this one.
And on that world, there were people much like us. They looked like us. They felt and thought much like we do. They even loved like we do now. On that world lives a man who fought for a living. He fell into this profession because he wanted to protect people. He fought so well, they asked him to lead others in battle and called him a general. He did his best to protect his officers and men. To get them home again.
But the general was lonely. Men feared and respected him, he had wealth and honor, prestige. But he envied the lowest man in his army, for the family and home that man got to return to after every victory. The general wanted a home and family.
The General met a beautiful woman who was absolutely infuriatingly stubborn. She captivated him. She was everything he wasn't. Lovely, graceful, refined, gentle and kind. She made music and she healed people with her touch.
A miracle happened. The general somehow captivated her in return. They both felt it deep inside, like two magnets pulling toward each other. This woman, she loved the general and she saw him. She truly knew him in the way he'd always dreamed to be known and loved. She wanted him for himself, scars and all.
The General and mysterious, magical woman were married. They had two children and they built a home where all could be welcome. Any man the general led, any of the poor that the woman helped, were welcome in this home to find refuge.
It was a home full of laughter and joy, full of learning and knowledge. A place of love and peace. The General finally knew the peace and contentment he'd longed for all his life. The passionate women at his side and his wonderful children were the most precious thing in all creation to him. His reason for living.
But alas, as it always does, war came calling. A vast and terrible darkness came down from the stars, conquering the world the general and his family lived on.
So the General once more took up the sword and went to defend his people. But this enemy wasn't like any he had faced before. They didnt look like people, they had powers strange and they lay waste to entire cities. The killed anyone who fought and captured the rest. Only the strongest were kept as slaves to labor.
Word came that the General's family was captured. He led an unauthorized raid to get them back and made a horrible discovery. The enemy were feeding on those they captured. The General's family had already perished.
The General went...mad.
He dedicated his every waking hour to the obsession of destroying the enemy utterly. Years passed and the General was nothing more than a vengeful ghost. He set traps, he learned the enemies ways and used their own weapons and powers against them. One day he came up with a plan to let himself be captured and take with him a weapon of terrible power, created from the enemies own tools.
In his madness and unholy need to retribution, the General committed an act so evil, that it resonates through time. The General wasn't trying to protect his world or his people, though they would later honor him for doing so. What the General felt was understandable. He'd lost the center of his life. He was in pain and needed to share that pain with the universe, to be consumed in the fire of it. That fire, it burned an entire species to ashes. Soldier, drone, queen...larva. The whole massive generation ship full of an entire alien species. Gone forever.
The General couldn't have known then. That there is a bigger picture. That people don't just die and disappear. They are born again, when the time is right. They live other lives in other places, down the endless looping river of time. What happened to his family may have been a tragedy, but it wasn't final.
His crime however...the end of a race. The cessation of all their potential to evolve and effect the history of the universe. That is something to be decided only by the creator of the universe. The General died that day, along with his enemy.
But it was not the end. There would have to be a price paid for this action. A penance. The Balance demanded it. But this story was never about that.
It's been about the love the General and his wife have for one another. Still today it burns. A warm ember brighter than despair and stronger then death. Down through the countless ages and every life lives, they have danced around one another. Never quite touching for long, but brushing one another like fireflies in the night. Someday...somewhere. They will be reunited. This is promised.
Enya- Fallen Embers

I know nothing. But if you find someone that you love, adore and would do anything for and miraculously they feel the same. Be thankful. It's a magical world.
I don’t believe that there is one person that’s checks all of your boxes at the same time at all parts of your matured life. Different people mean different things to people at different times.
There are people we meet, randomly, that are almost there, but timing is bad. There are people we meet that are destined to be with someone else. There are situations we are in that matter more than romantic entanglements. There are partners that you can’t ignore and keep going back to. There’s an animalistic attraction you get nowhere else.
I believe there COULD be one person that you can tolerate through all of that, but ultimately we need more partners throughout our lives. Expecting one person to be your soulmate and fill every need in a serendipitous way will leave you disappointed.
That said, there have been moments where I’ve been challenged on this. Ultimately, I’ve been snapped back to reality.
