What pissed you off today?

One of the guys at work died today. He was 67, he could have retired, but his wife died three years ago so all he had was working and hanging out with the guys. On the weekends he drank too much, and he had heart attacks before. He collapsed and when they found him he was already dead. They tried to recesesated him, but it was too late. A half hour after the ambulance leaves we find out we have a defiberator on site, but locked in a cabinent to prevent theift.

All I can say is that I have more than work going for me.

Sorry to hear about that.
I would imagine that your HR dept is going to catch hell about the Defribrillator. Also they do not do any good locked up for one, and another point is there really needs to be some people trained on how to use it. Just food for thought.

Now, after doing a search online to find ideas of how to fix my ignition... guess what the number one complaint is in a Ford Focus (yep, that's what I drive)? The ignition locks and you can't get it fixed without replacing it. There's even a mass lawsuit in California over it because Ford won't fix the ignition.

Grrrrrrr.

Well, I don't know specific issues with the focus, but have had that sort of thing happen before. It required really rattling the ever-loving hell outta the steering wheel and column. There's basically a sweet spot where the anti-theft measures inherent in the column can lock things up. If you can shake the not out of it, sooometimes you can get it to reset. It takes some solid force though, and, well, it's an airbag equipped car, so do it at your own risk.

(Not that the airbag will blow, but that you might jack something else up.)

That said, salvage yards tend to sell columns cheap, and locksmiths are way cheaper usually than service depts.

Thanks.

I did shake the daylights out of it, and banged on the key and the steering wheel and everything else until the side of my hand now has a bruise on it. Still no luck. Nothing's moving. Steering wheel locked, ignition locked. I'm still under warranty for about six more months, so I think I can get it fixed for free. But if they won't agree to fix it free over the phone, locksmith it is.

Seriously, with the issues I've had with this car, as soon as I can afford a new (being something totally different from a Focus), I'm getting one. New transmission, new stabilizer bars, and now this.... I'm officially classing it as a lemon.

Getting Ill again.. and the doctor saying She has no idea how it happend.. and Sir not being able to be here with me even though both of us want it..

Oh beleive me, my supervisor carefully sent an E-mail uphill to the boss.

Remember it's one thing to bitch downhill but another uphill.

Still all the same I've only been there a month, so I better get my shit together and head off to work.

A big torn blister on the back of my heel from my new walking boots, just in time for the holiday during which I intended to walk for several hours a day :(

many thingo's - aged around 22....
friend and i caught up with a man who (many years ago) used to be my best male buddy at high school....he's a honey and we have 'unfinished business' so i'd hoped to get that going again...all going well until his latest called and he then described her fully..starting with her age...ahh half his (and mine) minus 1 year...FUCK ....PISSED OFF -why am i always hot for the guys who are always hot for silly girly games - have I not grown up???? or am I just a victim of their insecure mid life crisis antics????
ahhh...I'll work on him over the next few weeks and win him ova....but meanwhile it PISSED ME OFF - again.

Thanks.

Yup, I'd go with a locksmith, though it should be fixable under warranty. And, from doing some research, it looks like just the ignition cylinder itself needs replacing, and that is if a good locksmith can't unstick it. Ignition cylinders aren't that expensive.

Ford replaced it for free. The tow truck guy my insurance called tried to unstick it since he's also a locksmith, but it wasn't budging at all. So yay for good insurance and Ford having the part in stock (this is a small town). At least I did find out how to get my car out of park and into gear without starting the car (I have an automatic). Not that I'll ever really need that, but you know, cool stuff to know.

At least they took care of it properly, eh?

I had an issue with my Explorer today. The day after I bought it, a spring broke in the driver door latch assembly. Meant that it would not unlock properly, nor even open from the inside. Lovely, eh? Well, we took the door apart and I found the spring. This means replacing the latch. It is an ENORMOUS STAGGERING UNREAL pain the ass to do this job, unless you know exactly what you're doing.

While I am perfectly familiar with the concept, getting my freak-large hands inside the door shell to fiddle with just ain't happening. That, and being from a long line of rednecks, my dad and I figured out how to jury-rig it with some 550 cord (aka parachute line). Well, it seems to be either stretching or loosening, so it's not working right.

Figuring I should probably do it right, I call Ford. They want too much for the latch, so I hit the local pull-it-yourself part yard, and found one. Wow, not only should I not try to fix this, I shouldn't even try to pull the part. Admittedly, I did a respectable job given the limited assortment of tools I carry in the truck, but I'm still grumpy that I could not get those last two damned rods off. It wasn't like I was defeated by the whole thing. No, just the last two rods. And I probably could've gotten those, but I had a couple of appointments still left to see. I figured making money was more important than not getting my ass kicked by a door latch.

It teach me an important lesson though - Pay somebody else to do this one. Gorilla hands like mine are just not designed for the inside of Explorer doors.

Le sigh.

Note - I plan to supplement my tool selection for the next time I go. Assuming it's still there next time, I will have the latch.

One matching couture bra & panty set
One couture bra w/ lower end matching thong
One silk kimono
One silk chemise

... will cost me about $800. And I *must* own all of it because it is important, dammit!

(Yes we have a fabulous incentive program at work; however, to utilize the incentive program instead of getting employee discount means paying full retail. Le sigh.)

People driving in snow like "HOLY SHIT CAN EVERYONE ELSE TELL THAT IT'S SNOWING?!?! THERE ARE ICE FLAKES FALLING FROM THE SKY! I HAVE LOST ALL FACULTY TO STEER OR MAKE SAFE DECISIONS!!"

sorry...I had a long drive this evening.

my family pissed me off today. I still love all of them dearly, I just wish they had been not so, er, vivid today.

Oh ugh.. well maybe it won't be too bad... It could be worse, ever live in Fayetteville NC or El Paso TX?

OH God.. Yep, that would rank up as the worst I'm thinking.. LOL and I've only been there for training exercises.

that place was hard to be stationed at in the early 90's...we were on the go all the time...I was worn out....

People thinking just because they have money, well let me stand corrected their families have money, that they are entitled to something. You are not entitled to jack shit; you only get something when you EARN it. And by earning I don't mean being dominate, that doesn't cut it. Sorry to hurt your feelings.

Try being something other than a dick and removing your head from your ass 2.5 seconds and see how the world treats you. And you wonder why you went unemployed nearly a year although you think you are sooooooooo fucking smart "I have my Master's in Management" yet the only person to hire you was your brother.

Ooooook I'm going to quit. But grow a set.
