What pissed you off today?

How our country is so incapable when there is more than an inch of snow.. Surely after last February when the snow was bad, they would figure out how to get used to it!

How come they close the schools? never did that when I went we had to get there whatever the weather I remember having to get off the bus and walk because it couldn't get up the hill and when we got there we had to play hockey in the snow ........ shorts and T shirts while the sports mistress wore a cosy track suit brrrrrrrr. Are kids today too cossetted?

Sort of... some of it is transport issues with the roads etc and teachers not being able to get in, others reasons are stuff like broken heating etc. Cant have the kids getting too cold now!

(((HUGS))) hun.

awww thankyou. Today was a much better day! :)

Going for more blood tests, and after them not being able to find any blood, then finding a vein which gave some and then stopped before the last tube was done, gracefully (so I am told) sliding to the floor out cold. Came to lying on the floor, feet all around me, and throwing up....apparently my throwing up while unconscious scared the heck out of the medical staff. Oh well, at least I livened up their day with a little excitement and F got to be strong and heroic when they called him in to take care of me until I was ready for attempt number 3 at getting the rest of the blood they needed.

Blimey Cat, that sounds awful! Hope you are ok :rose:

But it's ok for them to be standing outside in blizzard conditions throwing snowballs at my windows ....... if the snow falls off my tree onto their heads I wonder if I can be sued for negligence

*HUGS and HUGS*

I've done the passing out thing at the docs it's pretty terrible.

I banged on the window to get the dog to shut up because he had been barking at nothing for over 15 minutes and my hand went through the window. I am fine, not even a scratch but extremely embarassed because maybe I have a bit more frustration then I thought.

I am glad you are ok, but I did laugh a little when I read your post. :)

Our internet connection (ADSL2+). It will only allow certain sites to open, the others just hang there and don't load. Funnily enough Lit is one of the few that will open, go figure

It's not our computer because my laptop is doing exactly the same thing  And it worked perfectly fine yesterday and last night

I'd make a guess it could be a browser update if you are running the same on both machines. I am a total browser slut here - I run Firefox, Opera, and IE on my machine because I get so sick of poor site loading at times - particularly with IE. :)

Hehe, we Canadians are heavy UK Watchers, it's the worst in over 30 years out there. Sorry but with global warming these things will happen.

Start - Search. Search should be somewhere over on the right side of the Start menu... unless they've *really* changed shit around in W7.

Yep they did. You have to right click on the windows Icon, then Explore, choose folder option to show hidden items. Crazy. Thank you for the help. :)

Hugs hun, I will light a candle for you and send you good healing thoughts.

Thank you. :)

The unconcious vomiting seems like it's a justifiable cause for concern.... Hope everything is better.

Ugh...that's awful. Glad you weren't cut.

Problem sorted - we turned everything off including the router and rebooted it. Now we know what to do if it happens again! :)

I'm pissed, and so is Sir

We had a minor car accident on Saturday afternoon (Sir was driving). We were going straight ahead while the car just behind us and in the right lane was turning right. He actually swung LEFT before he turned and hit our rear right wheel arch. There are no dings just some black scrape marks. *Remember in Australia we drive on the left* ;)

We did a U turn and parked in front of him, swapped details etc and we did go to the police the next day to report it but they were so busy that we thought ok we won't bother, both cars were drivable, no injuries and no tow truck needed. HOWEVER we got a letter yesterday from his insurance company claiming WE are at fault for the damage(!) to his car!

So I rang my insurance company, explained everything to the very nice girl on the phone, and I'm going to send in a photo of the marks on our car as well as a written statement. Let him try to explain how they got there

*The person we spoke to from his insurance company said he claims we "backed into him".....how could we do that when both cars were going forwards at a speed of about 60km/hr* GRRRRR!!!

I hope it all gets cleared up soon.

I'd be super pissed!

Experiencing the opportunity for personal growth and character development.
</sarcasm>

Fucking grown-ing experiences, any ways.

I broke my Grandma's casserole dish. She died when I was little girl and I have treasured it for all these years. I loved thinking about her using it to cook meals for my father and his siblings when they were young, and the fact that so many meals have been cooked in it. I cried all afternoon and I still feel sad about it. :(

I'm angry and hurt about the mixed messages a gallery keeps sending me.
ETA: I've decided that I'm not going to worry about the gallery. It's wasted energy.

tomorrow is the last day before my mum leaves.

I honestly dont want her to go. I hate the thought of it and what it means.

I have really loved her being here.

Not sure what to do :(

the whole of yesterday...every upsetting moment of it

My dad died a few months ago. Today I got an email from my mum to say she's taking all the home movies from my childhood to the municipal dump.

I knew she was a cold parent. I knew my feelings had never mattered much to her. But for fuck's sake - that's my childhood. That's footage of me with my dad. For fuck's sake.

This just underlines the fact that with my dad dead, there is now not one human on the face of the planet who loves me.
