What songs are you listening to lately

lately but hardly only

I am extremely eclectic in my musical tastes, but recently I've been listening to a lot of;
-The Brian Setzer Orchestra
- a rap-rock fusion outfit from the early 90's called Urban Dance Squad
-the Doors (a long time fave)
-Ben Harper
-and a self burned CD with various baseball music, from movie soundtracks (The Natural, Field of Dreams) to show tunes (Damn Yankees) some old swing style (Baseball, Baseball & Joltin' Joe, etc.) to the Gin Blossoms version of Take Me Out To The Ballgame.

You're a poetry nut too, I've noticed. Wouldn't happen to have read her brother's book 'House of Leaves' would you?
Yep. Good one. Albeit I got tossed off at some sharp plot-turns here and there and had to retrace.

Didn't spot the connection between the album and the book until much later though, when I heard the spoken word single version of Hey Pretty.

Gary Moore - ballad and blues cd, best track - one day!

Today I've been mostly listening to:
The Darkness - Permission to land

I listened to Britney Spears on the way home last night from work - "Toxic" - please forgive --

Hillary Duff "Coming Clean" -- no I am not regressing

I listened to Breathe by Melissa Ethridge - may buy the CD

Frankie the Freak from Blondie used to live in my neighborhood!! I listened to Blondie until my tape (yes tape) got stuck in my recorder!!!!!

Cyndi Lauper - I drove all night -- much better rendition than Celine Dion

I was going to mention listening to Stomp but you just have to watch them too, so it's not the same. (prefer watching Ladysmith Black Mambazo to just listening)

Jethro Tull (Going up the Pool, Life is a long song)

Greenday (Time of your life)

Anal Soda (now defunct locals the whole album)

Eurhythmics (There must be an angel. Annie's vocals on that track are astounding)

Gauche
