Wal-Mart (and other stores) has miniature tripods for less than $15... They are small (6-10") but work great if set atop a piece of furniture such as a table or clotheschest.

Thanks for the comments. I'm glad that you enjoyed, and I appreciate the feedback. I think a couple of the b&w needed sharper contrast too. Too gray and not enough black and white. I'm working with iPhoto and not a program like Photoshop, which I think may be part of the problem. I have access to Photoshop at work, but I think it would be a little too risky to mess around with these pics at the office!
