Jazz dance. I took ballet when I was very young but my back can't take it now that I'm old and decrepit. ;-)

I like to move to music, and it's good exercise.

Ballet is very hard on the body. I have a few friends who were (and two who still do for the CBC) into and I've seen how bad it can get...

I could never have been a serious ballet student. I have entirely the wrong body for it. Fortunately, I have the right sort of body for other things.

I do adore the ballet, though. Everything is beautiful there, you know.

I'll agree with that one whole heartedly! And a stunning woman you are too.

I love going to the ballet (fortunatly, having friends who perform means I get good tickets for less than an arm and a leg) - I don't get to go as much as I'd like, but it's good when I can.

On a side note, while they look beautiful on stage - I'm not fond of women that thin - always feel I'm going to break my friends when I hug them...

Oh, I'm not sorry that I don't have that kind of body or that career. Dancers live in constant pain. And the pressure to be thin can literally kill people. A fortunate few have the ideal without trying, but for everyone else, it's brutal.

Still, I love to watch. Great beauty at the price of great pain. Not unlike life, I suppose.
