Venison roast, from a few days ago, blackeyed peas...from last week, and my proprietary oven roasted potatoes covered in thin sliced tomatoes, minced garlic, onion, parsley, basil, paprika & black pepper. Oh, yeah...and shredded cheese to melt on in the last few minutes.

Homemade savory herb chicken pot pie (complete w/ a homemade flakey pie crust)...

Musing outloud...is it just me or does it seem like fewer & fewer people cook these days...actually COOK -and I don't mean any of the boxed junk that is sold in grocery stores.
I try to cook as much as I can but tonight I bought a frozen pizza for me and daughter since hubby is working this evening. I am making some turkey stock though and will make homemade soup tomorrow. I do find alot of people never cook. I could not live on take out alone. 1. Too pricey 2. I like cooking 3. Take out gets boring

Souped up hamburger helper cheesy enchilada....with ground venison. Added onions, a head of garlic, parsley, REAL cheese, red & yellow bell peppers & served it over tortilla chips, topped it with fresh lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream & a little green tabasco & black pepper.

Hamburger helper; Rocknut style:D

Sounds a little familiar! I made Hamburger Helper Double Cheesy Quesadilla with a Bentrod twist. Made it with crumbled seasoned halibut topped with corn tortilla triangles and shredded cheddar cheese. Served it with a salad. YUM! :D

Yup....It's not half bad if you disregard the instructions & put some texture in it. I intended to cook something else, but worked too late:(
