I just watched yesterday Verdi's Requiem with Karajan conducting la Scala Orchestra&Choir in 1967, directed by Clouzot. With Leontyne Price, Fiorenza Cossotto, Nicolai Ghiaurov and a young Pavarotti as soloists. It's glorious.

I've seen Verdi's Requiem with Karajan and Vienna Philharmonic. But the 1967 recording is perfection. Karajan at his best, Price and Ghiaurov simply superb.
