When Darkness Falls

Dahmnall

"In nomine Patri et Fili et Spiritu Sancti," Dahmnall said making the sign of the cross over her prone body "May God have mercy on your soul." He pulled the trigger

"and you miss, stay behind me where I can protect you."

"Thank-you kind sir. Oh give me a break."

Amelia was getting pretty disgusted at the violence Dahmnall and Cecillia were showing and, when Cecillia started yelling, Amelia stepped out and started shooting her.

The pain was exqisite. The slug earlier pierced her chest and found its way out. This one would lay within her for a while. She hit the ground hard and lay still, unbreathing. She was dead.

Dahmnall

Dahmnall collapsed, to his knee holding himself up with his sword "Hail mary, full of grace the lord is with thee, blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb jesus. holy mary, mother of god, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. amen." dahmnall said sagging weakly, his earlier wound had reopened, and his face was still bleeding. "A--ami, ho-s-hospital, take my gear before...." and he dropped.

Amelia stripped him of his gear and any paraphernalia that would raise questions.
She turned to the other human in the group and said,

"Can you help me bring him over to my car."

Alaric

I looked at what had happened, the other vampire concerned me, but since he hadn't moved yet, I had one of my guns trained on him, my eyes still looking at the vampire, I asked the lady "we can't take him to a hospital, you know of any private doctors?"

The shot from the officer's gun had hit Kyrev's right shoulder, causing him to sway with the impact slightly. Blood seeped out into the fabric of his white suit, staining it before his wound started to slowly close. It was a distraction, nothing more.

However, it was distraction enough. The girl who had called herself "hume" and "gift" was laying dead apon the street. He felt sadness and regret washing over him. Not careing about the humans nearby, he walked over to her body and knelt by it. "I am responsable for this, and ask forgivness. May your soul find a better exisence in it's next life"

The armed man had collapsed, and the other two had moved to him, arguing over where to take him for treatment. "3rd Avenue. Number 12. A doctor lives there"

Amelia turned and looked over at the remaining vampyr. Cecillia's body was turning to dust and she couldn't help but feel disgusted and angry at the part she played in ending her life.

"3rd Avenue. Number 12. A doctor lives there"

She could see the vampyr was upset by what happened. She hadn't seen him as a threat and he became even less so by helping them after they killed Cecillia.

Thank you. Maybe you should get out of here.

Kyrev nodded at the words from the girl. This had not been a good night in all truth. One had died, and it was not a good death. Gathering a handful of the dust that was once the body of the Hume, he stood and sighed.

Slowly he walked away from the scene, not gracing the officer or the violent man with even the briefest of glances. Ah well, her reasoned, it would likley be light soon enough, and he had best return to his cellar for some rest and reflection

Dahmnall

Dahmnall fought for consciousness, but could feel it fading, he surfaced just enough to mutter a few words "Am-Ami thank...you, and you brother slayer, thank you too." and he passed out again

She watched the vampyr walk away and hoped that the strange man with her would just let him go. Amelia took Dahmnall's weapons and dumped them back into the trunk of her car. She opened up the door to the back seat and walked back over to Dahmnall. Turning back to the strange man, Amelia said,

"Can you help me move him?"

Watching the course of events unfolding before her Dria was stunned. The Hunter was hurt, Cecillia was dead and another Hunter had appeared as well as a another vampire who apparently had an affinity for white. She watched the oddly assembled group with a small smirk curving her lips. It was too bad about Cecillia, granted the girl had been annoying and out of control but Dria couldn't help wondering just what exactly she had been. She'd been unique that was for certain.

She hadn't understood all the talk about a Gift and consequences but she would like Darius sort that out. He'd told her to watch and learn and so she would. Now however it looked as if the Hunter would need to find a private doctor. She tried but she found she couldn't really summon up much sympathy for him. After all his type killed her kind which wasn't likely to encourage friendly feelings.

Still hanging back she continued to simply watch and wait. She wanted a chance to speak to the other vampire but would wait until the hunters and the cop were gone.

Kyrev walked furthur from the scene as the three humans clambered into their car. Casting one glance back to the pile of diminishing dust that was once his newfound, and rather violent, defender, he turned down a darkened alleyway between two houses. The darkness was almost complete, even making his clothing hard to spot at distance. Half way down, he stopped. Pulling a small flast out of a pocked, he flicked the top off and let the handful of dust he had gathered earlier trickle inside

Alaric

I nodded to the redhead "I'm sorry I didn't act faster friend" and I put my guns away "sorry, you can never be too sure with those creatures, and picked the redhead up and put him in back, making sure that he was laying down "hopefully he won't bleed all over your car . . . that'll be a mess to clean up." I kept myself alert the whole time, while around that vampire, I didn't want him sneaking up on us. I looked at the lady "may I come with? in case you find anymore trouble?"

"Yes, you can. I'll need your help convincing the doctor to help and to bring Dahmnall inside."

Amelia climbed in the back seat with Dahmnall and her first aid kit and tried to stop some of the bleeding. He looked bad and sunrise was going to be soon. She did all she could and got into the drivers seat. When the other man climbed in she asked,

"My name is Amelia, so who or what are you exactly?"

Alaric

Shifting my blades to the side as I swept my coat and sitting down I said to her "I am known as Alaric, I am one of the many that hunt vampires, like your friend back there" I looked back and then looked back in front "except he is special." I looked down thinking, finally able to let my mind wonder about that woman and what she meant by being the gift. It was disturbing to say the least, I wasn't sure what that meant, I had to find Zeke and Miyu, maybe they would know, but the slayer was my more immediate concern.

They weren't far from 3rd ave and got there in a little over 15mins. When they pulled up to the doctors house, Amelia got out and rang the doorbell. It was early in the morning so she wasn't expecting a warm welcome.

Arabeth

Arabeth looked around the city. She could feel dawn approaching and needed to find some kind of shelter. She was wandering down an alley when she saw a fire escape leading to the roof of an apartment building. She broke down the door she found and walked through the halls till she found the door to a windowless basement. She ran a finger over one of the countertops, dusty and dirty, and she sneered at the thought of having to actually sleep down here. She knew that she couldn’t find her friend before dawn struck its deadly rays on the city, so this dingy basement would have to do. She pulled her red hair down and shook it out. She looked for the darkest corner as far out of sight as she could find.

She couldn't wait till she woke up, and could find some more, appropriate accommodations. She had never, well at least not in a long time slept somewhere so disgusting. She just hoped the day would go by quickly, so she could go out and feed.

Seeing the vampire in white head down an alley she waited until the humans left before following him. She was sure she hadn't seen him in town before and wanted to know if he was planning on sticking around or just passing through.

Moving silently up behind him she dragged a finger slowly down his back, her voice a soft purring, "Hey baby, it's generally nice to ask before wandering around someone else's hunting grounds."

Kyrev was in his own world, when he felt a hand rund almost seductivly down his back. "Hey baby, it's generally nice to ask before wandering around someone else's hunting grounds."

He breathed a heavy sigh. He didn't turn around, instead letting the woman do what she wished. "Apologies miss. I have been rather wrapped up in the splendour of the night. People used to call me Kyrev. And this..." He held up the bottle "..was the Hume"

Brian Custable stirred in his bed. The doorbel had gone off. Who would be calling at this time? He looked out the window. It was still dark. Humph. Must have imagined it. He layed back down. The doorbel went again. This time he knew he wasn't imagining it.

Clambering out of bed, he threw on a robe and grabbed his shotgun. Probably a bunch of punks playing a prank. Still slightly bleary-eyed, he walked down his stairs to the front door. Cocking his gun, he took the door off the latch and opened the door, pointing the gun out first.

"Who are ye? An' whaddya want?"

"Apologies miss. I have been rather wrapped up in the splendour of the night. People used to call me Kyrev. And this..." He held up the bottle "..was the Hume"

Dria was mildly annoyed with this one. The least he could do was turn to speak the with person who'd snuck up on him.

"Tsk, tsk. An apology couched in bad manners is hardly an apology at all. As for the Hume, I've met her already and can't say I'd sad at the loss. She was dangerous and out of control and would have brought a world of trouble down on our heads.

Why are you putting her remains in a bottle?"

Kyrev turned around and bowed to her. He barely had time to register her features, before apologising again. "Once again, i am sorry. I'm got overly familiar with the protocols of this city." He looked up, directly into her eyes. He managed a small smile. "Should I kneel?"

Amelia rang the door bell a second time and then heard footsteps. The door unlatched and someone answered the door with a gun.

"I need a doctor, please hurry."

"You found one. Doctor Constable. Now, why do you need me?" He held the gun steady. He still wasn't sure about who this woman was, or why she was ringing his bell
