When RP takes control IC thread

Skyler

She looked to the three, there was no way she would tell them the whole story...she knew better.

"Well since you seemed to come in at just the right moment, which I am thankful for." She paused a moment.

"He wanted to be a little more forward than I wanted to, and when I told him that, he decided to take what he wanted. I guess he didn't expect me to put up a fight."

She stood there watching, trying to gauge their reactions, she wondered just how much the fortuneteller knew, and if he would reveal that knowledge.

She had heard of his kind, Oracle's they were called, and knew that if he had enough experience, he may not have needed to ask that question.

But then again he may have asked to see what she would be inclined to tell him.

Jasleth

Jasleth grinned, a tad disappointed the fight was over. "He should have, if he'd been paying attention to the right things." Jasleth gave her an approving look that had only partially to do with her beauty. "You move like a fighter." There was something odd about her...of course maybe he was just distracted my her looks. She was amazing...just like Kryss. He must have pleased some kind of digital god, that was for sure.

"If you'd like, I have a healing ability that might tend to that cut there." "Then, seeing as how you're all right, you have great moves, I have a proposal." He turned to incluse the other two with a sweep of his arm. "The four of us, pulled together out of circumstance, sounds like the perfect party for some adventureing!" "What do you think?"

Skyler

She looked to the other as he spoke. She chuckled softly, "And adventuring party? Hmmm it's been awhile since anyone asked that of me."

She looked to the Oracle and wondered what his choice would be and the girl as well. It could be interesting and it would be a distraction, until she could return for her target once more.

Kryss~

Judging by the way she was acting, I personally didn't trust her. But I wasn't leader, just a follower.

"Whatever you choose m'lord, if she wishes to join then all the better." spoke softly, acting like she was nothing more than another pc to help get exp. I will admit Jasleth was pretty good looking, then again so was the oracle. I's been soloing for sometime now hadn't really been paying much attention to other pc's.

Least I'll be traveling with some good looking guys this time. Sometimes I wish I would make the first flirty move, but oh well I wouldn't know what one to flirt with anyway.

Started to dance alittle, nothing special, just one of those i have a tune in my head and can't help but sway to it. Plus I was getting alittle ansy, wanted to go kill things.

Dominic

I squinted at the woman. She was hiding something. She may not have necessarily been lying to him, but she wasn't telling the whole truth.

"An adventuring party?" I turned to Jasleth. This guy's optimism and carefree nature was going to be very annoying, but if I could put up with Slip, I could handle anything. Besides, I didn't want to let this mystery woman out of my sight.

I adjusted my glasses. "I have been getting tired of pointless wandering for the last few days. I think it would be a good idea. I assume you have a quest in mind, Jasleth?"

Jasleth

Jasleth started to speak...but was distracted by Kryss beginning to dance. He watched her for a few moments, wine red eyes wide, before closing his eyes and cracking his neck. Better.

"A dancer...I kind of wondered." He grinned, a roguish cast coming over his features. "Remarkable...I just hope I can focus enough on whatever we come across, with you moving around like that." He spread his hands up inf ront of him, palms outward. "Uh, no offense." "I talk before I think sometimes."

Kryss~

Started to play alittle with one of the many veils, dancing alittle more seductively, somewhat taunting Jasleth, noticing how well he got distracted.

"None takened m'lord." silky tone as I got close enough to him. Keeping a lock on his eyes, even with the little turns, got close enough to swipe one of his blades without him realizing. Through the veil I was playing with, held up the blade to him giving it back with a sly grin, mainly showing him my roguish side as well.

"So m'lord, do you have a quest in mind?" smiling at him with an innocent look. I didn't stop dancing, that tune in my head was almost sounding more realistic than usual. As if there was gypsy drummers near by, but there was nothing around, not like that anyway.

Shrugging it off, not that I mind really. Looking at Jasleth's shocked looked, grining at him.

Soliel Etoile - tardy as usual.

People and their parties.

She leaned over from the tree branch she was perched on, twig caught between her canines. Gnawing down on it, she sighed. The more people, the more problems she often ran into. The forest was best for her - silent with the occasional soul from time to time - away from the trash of the city and the detritus of the soul. It was insane, the things that people did or had done to them.

Huddling down, she watched the people passing by beneath her. Walking, talking - too loud for her tastes all together. Red eyes shot them a glare. Shifting, the elegant curve of the black long bow shifted against her back, the strap sliding up her chest a bit. Legs crossed in the Arabian pants - the fabric black and thick. Feet were covered by mid-calf length high black boots, ending in the similar Arabian-eqse curl. A bit outlandish for the woods, even she had to admit, but they seemed to suit her and her purposes just fine. Long arms were left bare - forearms wrapped in ebony hide to protect her wrists from the recoil of the bow string. Across her thin chest [ helped out more by the rows of bandages taping her breasts down ] was a loose green vest. On the crowing glory of sunset colored hair was a mottled turban, tied so tightly that only a wisp of her hair slung free across the high forehead.

Idiots.

The sooner they left, the better. God that dancing girl was getting on her last nerve. With any luck, she'd catch something that would leave her itching in the crotch. Ha! The skank wasn't even worth one of her fine arrows with the obsidian tips....Ah, so beautiful...and so damn hard to make it made her cringe every time she had to use one. But style was style.

Jasleth

He blushed as she handed the knife back to him. He'd never even seen her swipe it. Awesome, just awesome. The shocked look turned into that roguish grin. "Wow!" "I've never seen a pick that clean before!"

He pulled the blade's sheath from his sash, sheathed the knife and then tossed it to her. "Keep the knife as a token of my respect, and an apology for taking you so lightly." "I don't use the blades, but they're nice to have for trades."

"As for your question, I've been fighting in Arctica lately, but I don't have the strength to get through the castle myself." "There's supposed to be a powerful item there, The Frozen Flame." Jasleth's grin turned fierce, "It's new, and no one's gotten it before, so no one knows what it can do." "There's good loot in the castle in general too, so that was my plan." "Put a posse together and kick the tail of anything that tries to get in our way."

Kryss~

Caught the blade easily in the middle of a turn. Lust filled my eyes as he was talking about the quest, been a long time since i've been in the castles around here.

"Sounds wonderful.... and thanx for the blade, I don't use them either, just love to collect them." excitment starting to build up at the thought of the adventure. Small part of me had a feeling that someone was watching, like usual I ignored it. Kinda got used to being watched I guess. I stopped dancing well the bigger movments anyway. I was just doing little belly rolls and moving my hips, nothing like what I just did. I love showing off.

"So when do we leave?" And will we need more? sounds like we are going to."

With that I sat down on my knees, waiting till we leave, playing and looking at the dagger more closely. It had etched designs throughout the blade, the handle had a cobra snake head with emerald eyes and the handle was the body of the snake.

"Very beautiful dagger, where did you get it?" asked softly looking back up at him.

Jasleth

He smiled broadly at her, marveling at her easy grace. "The dagger I actually won in a duel with another player." "He was being a real jerk to some folks, he especially liked to hit new adventurers coming out of town and just flatten them." Jasleth's grin was now a fierce snarl, his teeth bared in a vicious smile. "So I called him on it, I hate bullies, and this guy was the worst." "While the guys he's attacked were petitioning to have him booted, I fought him." His wine red eyes were bright as he remembered the fight., every dodge, every impact. "He thought I would be an easy target," Jasleth spread his hands again, 'no weapons, you know?" "So it was easier than it could have been." "I K.O'd him just as the guide arrived to throw him off for good."

He sank down into a crouch, ankles and knees bent. "I gave most of his stuff to the people he'd attacked, but I kept the knife as a keepsake." "I think it might be poisoned, but I can't use it so..." he trailed off and shrugged.

"As far as recruiting...I'd like to get someone with some range." "I have a few tricks to hit from a distance, but not very far." "Know any archers?"

Soliel

Stupid tawdry wench!

She stood on her branch, feet sure as a cat's. Dusting her rear off, she fondled the dark red feathered shaft of an arrow. She was so tempted to send it through that stomach that she was seeing double. But it was such a beautiful arrow - not to be wasted on tramps.....

She fished around in her quiver. She had a different set, just for the likes of these people, anyway. Her fingers set upon a white feathered shaft, and she plucked it free. The arrowhead was made of a sturdier, if not somewhat uglier, stone. Whatever - it got the damn job done. Slipping the arrow into the bow string, she drew it back, waiting. She wouldn't kill the little tramp, but just send her a fair warning.

Left crimson orb closed as she aimed.....and let the arrow fly. It landed at the tramp's feet.

"Just a warning to move that slovenly dancing elsewhere before I really get mad!" The almost boyish voice rang out from the safety of the trees, everywhere but nowhere at once.

I didn't flinch, though I did stand up an looked around.

"Yea where ever this arrow came from." Smirky tone and glancing at the trees.
"If you don't like me dancing then tuff titty said the kitty." With that I started dancing again just to irritate whoever it was.

Apollo

The next arrow would neatly cut through those silks.

Tramp.

Then she starting laughing. The sound would carry high and far, and sounded a bit....unstable. As in the person laughing was unstable.

"My, my! Wasting arrows on a little hussy that's going to her grave by having her crotch rot out! My my, my my!"

The boyish tone would echo about. She shifted forward on her branch, snickering. Why WAS she wasting even the shoddiest of arrows on someone who was going to die from laying with too many men? Bah!

Jasleth

As the arrow came down, Jasleth sprang back and away into a smooth backflip. He came down five feet from his original spot, the tails of his headband whipping through the air behind him.

"Hey pal!" He rose to his feet, glaring in the direction the still quivering arrow had come from. "If you have a problem, why don't you come out and say something about it?"
"Have the balls to honestly confront it, don't shoot arrows from nowhere." He slid into a fighting stance, and closed his eyes. He wouldn't find the archer with them, anyway. "You got a grievance, show yourself and speak!" "I've got no time for cowards who try to scare people into listening to them!" "What's it going to be?"

Soliel

"Me? A coward?"

She leapt smoothly from the tree branch, landing on her left foot. Snapping it back, she took a stance akin to one of a dancer's.

"If I had been serious, I would have used a nicer arrow. But such trashy women are hardly better than the dirt they step on, so why waste an object of beauty on an object of filth?"

A hand was waved in the dancer's general direction, before moving up to straighten her turban. The wisp of golden hair glinted in the light, contrasting starkly with that smooth deep chocolate hue skin.

"A monk and his whoreeeeeeeeee! Excuse me for intruding, but you two are horribly loud and are soiling the sweet nature of this forest. Mind moving along?" A slender hand was waved in a 'shooing' motion. Amusing coming from a figure that was shorter than the two of them. The boyish figure was lank as she placed her hands on her disguised hips. To them, she would seem nothing more than a short boy.

Jasleth

Jasleth opened his eyes, seeing the small figure standing amid the branches. "I think you're being rash." "Throwing slurs and arrows at people you don't know." "I don't know what your damage is, but we have aright to be here too!"

He was mad, somewhat at the archer, but mostly at himself. He should have seen the first attack coming, she the bowman had gotten the drop completely. Which meant he was skilled. Which meant he could be an asset...but he needed a lesson in humility first.

"Tell you what, slick." "I got a contest for ya." He walked forward, a smirk on his face. He counted the paces as he walked forward. He needed to position himself just right...otherwise the Wave Fist would fail completely. He'd been waiting to try it out anyway.

"Two shots." "Yours and mine." "You take off my headband, we go." "I knock off that turban, you come down and listen to what we have to say and judge for yourself whether or not we're what you think." "What do you say?" Jasleth was pretty sure he'd gotten that deflect arrow ability...of course, if the archer was much above him level-wise, or lucky, it wouldn't matter. His face was all confidence as he grinned his savage grin at the archer.

She reached up to stroke the reddish gem that held the dark folds of fabric in place on her head. The idea had merit, but....Oh, what the hell? She was bored anyway.

His grin would have no affect on her as she drew another cheaply made arrow to her bow. Pointer finger extended, she took a deep breath. He said to remove the headband, but she couldn't shake the feeling he had something up his sleeve - a form of cheating. Headband, huh? He'd been so specific, there wasn't any sort of way of weasling out of hitting him there.

The arrow flew, it's target the tail end of his headband.

Stupid monks and their whores.

Jasleth

The world slowed as the archer drew back his bow. Jasleth slipped into the rhythmic breathing, closing his eyes to better feel the energy of the attack. He heard the wind in the trees, the rustle of leaves, the faint creaking of the powerful bow's limbs.

Then came the sudden thrumm of the bowstring. Immediately he lashed out with his left hand, feeling his strike graze something as it sped by. He felt a slight pull on his headband, but it stayed, intact. He opened his eyes and looked behind him. It had been close, so very close. He had deflcted it just enough that it had hit and torn the cloth, instead of pulling it off his head completely.

Jasleth looked at the arrow lying on the ground. Then he turned and looked with narrowed eyes at the archer. "Maybe if you learned about we stupid monks instead of hurling insults, you'd know that we can sometimes deflect ranged attacks." "If we know it's coming."

The grin was back, He shifted to a horse stance, feeling his ki surge. "My turn." The power surged up into the arms. He pulled his fist back and then punched forward, his ki projecting the force across the distance to strike at the turban atop the archer's head. "Wave Fist!"

"And maybe if you monks didn't cheat with deflective magic, I would have more respect for your kind!"

She ducked, avoiding the brunt of the attack. It succeeded in knocking the gem from the turban, and reducing it to a pile of cloth atop her head. Her hair tumbled down in thick waves of gold, down to her waist. With a frown, she knelt and picked up the gem. Keeping the pile of cloth atop her head, she leapt down.

"But, seeing as I have honor and play fairly, I took the hit. Even though you're a lying no good son of a bitch."

Twisting her hair atop her head, she set about re-wrapping it within the turban.

Jasleth

Jasleth fought down a surge of anger. Okay, so he wasn't expecting the archer to be happy about losing, but he'd hoped for a little better.

"Look, I'm sorry if you think I lead you on." Jasleth dropped down into a ready crouch once again. "I don't like being shot at, and maybe that got me carried away." He sighed, "I guess that this didn't help me any, huh?" He frowned, running a hand through his spiky hair. "Look, if you think I gave you that raw a deal, then take off." "If you think I cheated you that bad, I won't hold you to it." "But I'd like you to stay."

He moved to the left so that he was crouching in front of the surly bowman. "Look, you're a hell of a shot, and if you're willing to put up with a son of a bitch monk, I've got an offer that I think will do us both some good." "I know that there's something it in that you'd be interested in." "Will you listen?"

Soliel

She raised a brow, and folded the bow behind her back. Once her hair and turban were secure, she felt a lot more confident.

"It's not the monk I'm worried about, but that tramp over there. I have no time for trollops."

Was he still buying that she was a he? Please let him think that she was a he and just with long purdy hair. She sneered slightly.

"Yeah? And what could possibly interest me?"

Jasleth

Jasleth actually wasn't sure if he was looking at a man or a woman anymore, but he let it pass. Hopefully the archer's name would tell him. "Look, this is the first time you've ever seen her in your life, right?" "How do you know she's a trollop?" "Ever think she's just comfortable dressed that way?" "That she likes to dance, and that's how she was taught?"

He waved a hand in apology, "Sorry about that." "What I'm offering you is a test of skill, and a good reward at the end." "We're putting together a party to go into Arctica Castle, to search for a great treasure, The Frozen Flame." "It's not going to be easy, but the rewards if we get in and back out should be great." "Good XP for sure, but the place is said to have lots of magic items in there." "I heard of some magical arrows made of ice that might be of interest to you." "Always cold, never melt, and have an elemental attack spell bound to them."

Jasleth couldn't help excitement coming into his voice, "More than all that tough, is the sheer challenge!" "Arctica is home to some real nasty creatures, there are incredible battles just waiting to be had." "Places for warriors like you and me to prove ourselves, make ourselves stronger." "It's the best test of my abilites that I can find right now, and that's why I want to go."

"So far, we've only got a few together." "I'm the only fighter-type so far, and the others we've got are pretty close up with thier fighting skills as well." "We could really use someone with your skill, and it's not like you'd come out empty-handed." He grinned again, the friendly roguish grin, "Plus maybe I can show you that we're not as bad as you think." "Well?"

She watched the exchange between the dancer and the other as she thought about the idea to go on this adventure. She needed the experience and the treasure would be a bonus.

She looked to the Oracle, a small smile crept to her lips. He was smarter then she thought, he sensed something, but she still wouldn't reveal everything. Not yet.

Her attention was drawn away from him as the arrow hit the ground near the dancer. Her ice blue gaze followed the angle of the arrow, until it landed upon the archer. The boy was asking for trouble.

She watched with a distracted air as the boy and the monk squared off. It was an interesting exchange, and a little showing off on the Monk's part, but that was ok, the more she knew about those around her the better. Especially if she was going to travel with them.

She watched as the turban was unwound and made note of the long hair, too long for even a boy with long hair. She shrugged slightly, well if she or he had something to hide that was his/her choice and she wasn't going to worry about it, she could understand the need to hide some things.

After the monk made his proposal to the archer and they awaited the response, she stepped a few paces forward. She glanced to the oracle briefly before she quietly spoke.

"Well if we are to travel to this castle together, introductions are in order." She smiled briefly and wondered which of her two evils she should reveal, they were bound to find out she was both sooner or later, she would rather they found out about her being a paid assassin later.

"I am Skyler, a fighter of sorts and I am sure you would find out by morning, unless inside somewhere by then, " she smiled briefly and if anyone was paying attention the tips of fangs would be noticed. "I am a vampire."

She gauged their responses, some usually thought the worst at first, orthers were curious, and others would show fear. She wondered how this small group would react. She was prepared for the worst though, just incase. She was out numbered, but had her ways to escape.

~OOC sorry for the real short post last night, would have done more, but ran out of time on my part.~

I got alittle pissed off when the second arrow cut through one of my veils. I didn't say anything for the monk was already on it, already challenging the person.

Watching the little duel, or test, whatever it was. I was nothing like the things she was calling me. It's very rare that I played with men like that, normally I just stole from them. There were a few granted, but not enough to call me the things that she/he was. Oh well, being a gypsy type dancer I've been called worse.

Oh joy she is comming with us now. When the hair fell I knew he was a she, no man in this day keep their hair looking that thick and nice. Hell even out of game no man does, let alone let it get that long. But I didn't care, if they wanted to tell something, they would. She said something more about me, Jasleth stood up for me which was even more rare, everyone would just agree with whomever was calling me shit like that. Guess I got so used to it that I didn't feel the need to say anything more.

"Just keep those cheap ass arrows away from, or you will find ALL your arrows missing or broken." Was all I said, simple calm, but direct tone.

The other woman spoke, I turned to her, still not trusting her, guess i'm going to have to for the time. She said she was a vampire fighter, well that explained some things.

"Guess we will have to be inside somewhere in that case. *smiling at her* My name is Kryss." Looking back at the wannabe male archer, wondering what her story is.
