When RP takes control IC thread

Dominic

I smiled and set myself walking after Skyler. Maybe I was being paranoid and racist. Just because she was a vamp doesn't mean she's bad.

I concentrated on the woman, hoping to get another vision out of her, but to no avail. I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose. I needed some rest. Then, suddenly, I stopped.

Wait a minute! I just paid twenty Gold for that room and I didn't even spend any time in it!

Smooth move, numb nuts. Slip said with a little too much satisfaction.

"God ******!"

Skyler

She stopped as she heard Dominic and realised he had stopped a few steps back. "Problem? She said softly as she turned.

He mentioned the room he had just paid for and wouldn't be using. "I heard the price you paid and it was too much, he usually charges less."

She didn't wait for his response. "Come on we are falling behind."

Dominic

"What?!" I asked, feeling like my brain just snapped. "Why, that ******* piece of ******* ****! I'm gonna tear the *******'s ******* arms out of his ******* sockets!" I seethed, steam coming from my ears. I managed to calm myself down somewhat, but I was still angry.

"**** bartender. I hope the bugger enjoys his trip down the stairs tomorrow." Skyler gave me a quizzical look. "Don't ask." I sighed and kicked a rock.

So he over-charged you. You over-charge people all the time. Don't go all rip**** just because he stiffed you. Slip said. I stopped in my tracks. Did Slip just swear? He was a computer generated familiar, controlled by the system. They wouldn't program him with swears, would they?

I shook my head and kept on walking. It just must have been a glitch of some sort...

Soliel

Arms were folded behind her head.

As long as the losers were pairing off with each other, it left less time for them to be annoying her. A sigh as she tugged at her wide sash. A nice longknife or smitar would look really nice there....

She streched out as she began to walk in a mock-Nazi goosestep. When she did this, she looked even younger than her height had branded her with.

The goosestep fading to skipping, and then hopping. She was SO bored, and SO sick of the pairs whispering to each other. Really - they were all gonna end up screwing or whatever the moment they had some time alone, so just spare her that crap.

With each hop, the sound of bells trailed behind her.

"Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned it." She was kind of shocked as she gauged the meanings of the words that were well bleeped out.

In a sense she liked the idea, but then again, they needed an adult version of this game.

She continued to keep an eye on the others..it seemed that they were kind of pairing up, she wasn't sure her and Dominic as a pair was a good idea on her part. It was never good to get too close to... there she went again thinking about the job she had to do.

She pushed it away, still unsure of his abilities or that of his familiar. Shehad heard that they were linked and if it had been for long enough they could seem to share each others unique abilities.

Kryss~

Walking up towards Jasleth, walked in silence for a few moments. Wanting to calm him down or at least get his mind off it for a bit. Just didn't know what to say.

"Thanx for sticking up for me. Wasn't needed, I'm to used to that..... Thanx none the less." The quietness in my voice,

"So this dagger you gave me is poisonous, hmmm may have to find a way to find out. It's not good for throwing, and definatly to nice to leave in a soon to be rotting corpse." looking at him with a sly grin.

Jasleth

Jasleth grinned, the first time the roguish smile has appeared since the archer. "Yeah, it would." "I can think of a back or two that could use it." He laughed, quietly...it was best to try not to attract attention in these woods. "I'm foolin', though." He shrugged, "That's what I get for trying to be clever." "I should just stick to martial arts."

He looked at her again, marvelling at the easy grace she had. "Sorry to hear that you get that a lot...it's a damn shame." "I guess there's plenty of jerks out there." He winked at her, "Tell ya what, next time that happens, drop me a line." "You may be used to it, but I don't mind being offended by it if you'd rather pass." "I figure after a few illustrative butt-kickings, people'll lay off."

Soliel

"Or plenty of people with no taste for SKAGS!" She called out before bounding to the tree tops like a cat.

Did they honestly expect her to leave that one? Ha! It was like saying "Please, Soliel, I want to be mocked!" Swinging down from one of the branches, she stole a mocking grin at the monk. Ooo, she just loved teasing him. He was so easy to get riled up.

"But I'm sure the Knight in Shining Armor will come to any woman's aid to prove himself to himself!"

Cackling like a monkey, she swung back up into the branches, following the rag-tag troop from up there.

Much quieter, anyway.

Jasleth

Jasleth glared at Soliel as the archer swung back into the trees. "Yeah?" "Well maybe you should try helping someone besides yourself for a change!" "Maybe a few good deeds would knock that stick out of your ***!"

Growling, he took a moment to get his control back. "Sorry guys." Jasleth shook his head, "I'll keep it locked down though, don't worry." He picked up the pace a bit, partially to burn off some energy. He grinned at Kryss, "like I said to Skyler not too long ago, the offer still stands." "A disciplinary beating to anyone who insults you." He waited a beat, "without knowing you, anyway," he said, winking.

Soliel

"Sticks and stones, oh prudent one, sticks and stones!" She cackled as she swung back in view to stick her tongue out at him and blow a raspberry.

The sound of bells followed her back into the trees as she disappeared into the greenery. Tagging along with these morons was just...bah. Hopefully the taller guy would prove to be of more worthwhile company.

Kryss~

"That's ok, not sure how anyone can take her seriously anyway, when she is acting like a foolish little child. I pay no mind to that kind. That is probably why I don't care what they say or do." Smiling at Jasleth and talking about HER as if she is not there.

Keeping up with his pace with total ease. Held the dagger in my hand idly playing with it. "I don't even think the backs you are thinking of are worth this precious daggers bite." Sly look in my eyes, having some idea of who he was thinking of.

Paid no mind the the childish female that was now acting like a mindless, foolish monkey.

Skyler

She shook her head as they walked. What was I thinking? Joining an adventuring party...especially one that can't seem to get along.

She knew fun taunting was usually well and good for group spirits, but when it came down to, veiled or unveiled threats, it was too much.

She sighed and glanced to Dominic, he was still upset somewhat about his room. She smiled and spoke softly, "If it bothers you that much, I can see about getting you a refund for the unused room, once we return from our quest."

She paused and looked to the others. "If we even get that far." She was really having doubts about this.

She checked her in game time... Only 20 minutes in game..felt longer. She figured she had more time, if only she had known that more like an hour had passed, she decided to hang around to see if this smoothed out.

Geo placed his face in his palm. ".....again with the loud traveling...you people are going to get me killed.." He muttered and tilted his head back to watch the setting sun.

"If you all insist on talking like a flock of hens, I insist you do it quietly, night is almost upon us and the entrance to the spider's cave a meer few yards away..."

Reaching his hand to his sword, he grasped it and freed it from it's sheath, the luminous light danced through it's crystal blade. "I suggest you prepare yourself. Even the outskirts of the spider's territory are guarded.."

Even as those words passed his lips there was the slightest rustle in the tree tops all around them, the geomancer flung his hand upwards and vines of thick ivy snapped into them, there was an insect like screech and a large dark, spider, the size of a deer, six legs along it's body, two at either side of it's head which split into four equal peices, the center row after row of razor teeth, collapsed from the tree, paralyzed on it's back.

As the other trees exploded and their own Crest Spider's flew forward, he darted in and sunk his blade into the frozen one, gold flung into the air and landed squarely in his pouch as he spun, sword poised. "Let's see what you all have to add to this group..."

Soliel

She would stop at her childish horseplay for a moment, before letting loose with a shrill whistle. In the distance, the powerful scream of a falcon pierced the wind. With a smile, she paused on the branch she was on. Being an archer came with it's perks - the traditional woodlands companion. She had the choice between a wolf, a falcon, and a deer. Or maybe it was a caribou. Or a moose. Whatever it was, it was large and bulky.

The deft creature landed on her outstreched arm, talons digging lightly into the leather armgaurds she wore. Leaning forward, it bowed it's head for her to stroke it's feathers. It cooed softly, before shifting to look down at the members below them.

She had decided on the falcon, mainly because it was a tad more useful. And so cute! The game had done her the favor of giving her this talented little bundle of feathers who never ceased to amaze her.

"Come, let's rejoin the crowd...."

Leaping down beside the taller man once more, the falcon swooped down to reclaim its spot on her arm. With a squeal, it flitted about, turning a gold eye to the crowd.

Smiling, she stroked its feathers again. She had been playing for a while and still hadn't given it a name....

All of those thoughts were cast aside as the spider lurched forward. The falcon moved from her arm, actually dropping one of the obsidian arrows in her hand before moving to perch on her shoulder.

"Good boy....!" The arrow was drawn, and she closed her left eye. In the snap of a string, the arrow had flown sure and true - and landed in the midst of a beady eye.

"Beautiful." I grumbled, assuming a defensive stance. Spiders were all around us. I grimaced. Level eight spiders...this should be interesting.

Aren't you afraid of spiders, Dominic? Slip taunted.

You're the lizard. Why don't you come eat them?

I like it in here, thank you very much.

That's what I thought. I dodged a hairy leg and brought my staff down on the arachnid's head. It shook the hit off and came at me again. I poked it in one of it's eyes and it squealed, backing off slightly.

I twirled the staff in my hands. The spider made a sound like it was choking, then spat a wad of green goo at my feet. There was a definite splat, and my feet instantly stuck to the ground.

"What the?" I checked my status. In large purple letters, it said PARALYZED. I looked back up in time to see twelve bubbles boil on the spider's back. Then each bubble popped in a splurt of pus, allowing baby spiders, normal sized ones, to crawl out and begin to swarm toward me.

"Oh, no! Slip! DO something!"

I am! I'm soiling your backpack!

"Just help get rid of the little spiders, you scardy cat!"

LITTLE Spiders? Why didn't you say so? That's what I do best! The iguana crawled out of my backpack and down my shoulder until it could jump to the ground. In a flurry on quick tongue movements, Slip managed to eat every last one of the baby spiders.

While Slip did his thing, I accessed my ITEMS menu and used a HEAL scroll. The rolled-up parchment flew into the air and disintegrated into powder, which washed over my body. I felt the goo vanish and my status returned to the orange words NORMAL.

I went on the offensive, bashing the spider across it's head with my staff repeatedly. The bug managed to scratch me once or twice before I beat it into submission. It crashed to the ground, defeated. I felt Slip crawl back up my arm, but he stayed perched at my shoulder, hoping to catch some more dinner. I looked around to see how the others were doing.

" I hate spiders" Muttered under my breath, 'why do they have to have the best silks' ... Started to concentrate on my AE poisonous spell. Slowly starting a interesting kind of dance using many veils.

Poison showered on many of the spiders, a few kept resisting, the ones that didn't were getting hit pretty hard. I kept concentrating on the dance blocking out anything that was around me.

Jasleth

Finally. Something he knew how to deal with. As soon as the spider above him burst from concealment, he leaped to meet it. The spider hadn't anticipated that reaction from prey, and so Jasleth came upon it well before it was ready. His teeth bared in a savage grin, Jasleth's right fist passed within millimeters of the thing's savage fangs to impact with force that splatted two of the gleaming eyes. His left swung in with a knife hand strike, the force severing the twitching leg on the left side of the head.

Then the two landed. The spider went high, leaping with legs extended to catch the hateful creature that had hurt it so. Jasleth felt the world slow as he channeled his ki into his next attack, spinning into a roundhouse kick that sent the stricken monster crashing to the ground ten feet away. Jasleth turned and watched the creature start to rise, gathering his power. spun to face him. "Game over, eight legs!" "Wave Fist!" As before he seemed to punch the air, but his ki carried and enhanced the blow to his enemy. The force smashed through armored chitin like clay, shattering the bulbous head like a cheap vase.

Snarling, Jasleth turned to survey the scene. Seeing that Domonic had dispatched the cpider menacing him, he leaped toward a beast that was lurching toward the swaying Kryss.
"One for The Prodigous Youth!"

She rolled her eyes at the monk's outburst. What a dork. You could tell he was probably one of those no-lifers living in his mother's basement. The falcon screeched as it dropped twin arrows into her palm. Notching them both to the string, she let them fly.

Since it seemed like she was the only one actually concerned with defeating the damn things, rather than trying to impress.

The obsidian tips impacted surely in a spider's small cranium. As it let out a high pitched shriek, it fell, the second arrow burrowing deep into the eye of the spider behind it. Watching it fall, she stepped back. That would make three kills for her.

The falcon cooed as it shifted from shoulder to shoulder, wanting to be close but out of the way.

"That's a good boy...! I should give you a decent name once all of this has calmed down...."

Jasleth

His charge ended in slamming a shoulder into another large spider, the creature hissing in pain. Following up with a right, he smirked at the horrid sound to snapping chitin. A swift left uppercut rocked the beast's front body upward, more ichor coming from gaping cracks in its carapace. Jasleth hopped into the air, bringing down his right heel in an axe kick that smashed the stricken beast's head open and sent it's legs into sickening death spasms. "Guess not all of these things are the same level." "Lucky for us." "Sure are a damn lot of them."

Suddenly he was hit from behind by a massize form. Stifling a cry as fangs pierced his shoulder, Jasleth rolled forward, kicking up tith both legs to send the offending aracnid tumbling to the ground before him. He continued the roll, hammering both heels into the creature's face, driving it back. Getting to his feet, he winced. Not too bad a hit, and he'd resisisted the poison thankfully. A smooth leap carried him above the spider to come crashing down on it's back with both knees. He pounded down with his fists, until he felt himself hitting the ground, then pulled himself free of the twitchng corpse. "Anyone need a hand?"

She pulled the katana swiftly and easily from under her cloak. she hated the spiders in the game they seemed to multiply too easily. She stepped into the fray, well she really had no other choice.

She moved forward just in time to have a spider land where she had been standing. She spun and swung on it, barely slicing across what would be considered it's face.

Tha spider raised to prickly legs towards her and moved closer. She could see it's little pincers as it seemed to tasting the air in front of it.

She swung the blade, bringing it down on the two forward searching legs. She only managed to slice off one and wound the other, causing the spider to sqeal and move back.

She stepped in towards it as it moved back from wobbling strangely with the one leg missing. She hated to try and use the katana as a stabbing weapon, but didn't want to take the time to retrieve the dagger at her belt.

She moved in quickly and stabbed the nasty creature in the face. pushing with all her strength to bury the sword in it's face. The things tiwsted at the last moment to try and escape, pulling her blade with it.

She held on, and in doing so was unable to avoid the second spider. She felt the webbing hit her leg and then her legs pulled out from under her. She fought to keep ahold of the sword, knowing she would have a chance if it broke free of the spider's head as it died.

Jasleth

As the massive spider reared up above Skyler, it was hit in side by a flying kick from Jasleth. Both the monk and the spider went tumbling to the ground.

"I've got your back, Skyler!" Jasleth squared off with the spider, having recieved a fresh wound in the tussle with it a moment before.

Shaking his head, he charged the hissing abomination, "It's not nice to hit people when they aren't ready!" He knocked it's grasping front legs aside, slamming his forehead into one enormous eye, knocking the beast away from Skyler as she struggled to pull her blade free. Heh. No one expected the headbutt.

The savages. Couldn't even FIGHT with style.

Leaping up to a branch, she grinned. Much better pickings...and odds, up here. A curly-toed shoe came down with a thud atop of a pursuing spider head.

"The trees are mine, not yours!" She sniffed, before notching another arrow. As it spun into yet another black eye, she leapt down on the creature's body, taking a fair shot at another of the spiders. A leg clawed at her, and she back-flipped out of harm's way.

Screeching indignantly, the falcon flew about, before landing on a carcass of one of the spiders. Wrenching one of the marroon feathered arrows free from the dripping seeing organ, it dropped it into her outstreched hand. The arrow flew into a rearing spider's torso. It howled in pain, and swiped at her.

"Gack!"

The floundering leg caught her across the vest, ripping the dark fabric. Frowning, she pulled the dagger from her sash, and dove in, burying the small thing up to the hilt. Before it could take a second, dying swing at her, she leapt back.

The falcon called softly, before landing on her shoulder, golden eyes amused.

Dominic

I ran up to Skylar and Jasleth, or more specifically, the spider in front of them. I jumped into the air and slammed the staff down onto the beasts's head. It slumped down to the ground, losing the will to fight.

"Hairy buggers." I said. "I hate bloody arachnids." I slid myself off it's back and dusted myself off. I saw more spiders coming our way. I sighed. At least I'm getting EXP points.

I turned to another black beast. Let's try something different. Maybe I can confuse it with a magic attack. I held my hand out. "Hypno Wave!" I yelled and a purple stream of air hit the spider dead on. It began to flash a purplish color. It's eyes glazed and began to strike out randomly with it's legs. I jumped back in surprise.

Whoa! Ok, not the desired effect.

Soliel

She cackled, the sound close to the hooting call a monkey would make.

As the spider lurched towards the Oracle, she drew another arrow, and let it fly in the span of moments. The creature roared/howled as it's flailing limbs clutched at the wounded spot.

"Kuh...!" The falcon mimicked her noise of disdain, before perching back on her shoulder.

Skyler

With the help of Dominic and Jasleth she was able to free her sword and free her legs of the webbing from the other.

She looked around as she stood, they seemed to be cutting through the spider numbers.

She wiped her blade on the body of the dead spider before her. Then she turned as more spiders joined in the mess already before them.

She briefly watched the spider that seemed kind of affected by Dominic's spell. her attention was drawn away as a slightly smaller spider made it way towards her. "God I hate spiders."

This one seemed abit easier to dispatch and so did the few others afterwards. Well we seem to be getting to the bottom of the barrel on these things I guess.
