When RP takes control IC thread

Kryss ~

Deep inside I was crying as I saw Skyler go practically flying into the house, also with just everything else. Avrice was strong, he was running out of things, had to be running out of spells at least. He had to be using some real energy to knock out and bring back all that dead. Whatever he was doing on Dom, if he was, also had to be taking a lot.

"Kill him m'love...... just kill him....Once he's dead this will be over.....Jasleth... m'love...."

Once I caught a glimpse of Skyler in ferret form, knew she was ok, well from the spell at least. Broke off the other two spells, the one on Avrice for it wasn't doing anything, which I had a sick feeling it wouldn't anyway. And the one on Skyler, the root didn't seem to take hold on her for some reason as well.

So now everything I had went into Jas, mentally, physcally. Putting up whatever protection spells I could on him. Jasleth was the only on my mind right now. Chanting hard, dancing with the strength I had left.... All for Jasleth....

Thalryn

Thalryn wiped off his axe, then replaced it in his belt. He looked down at Soliel’s mangled corpse and shuddered. He absently rubbed the crescent moon scar on his left palm.

He looked up and saw Avrice teleport away. He walked over to where Dominic sat, legs laced in black veins.

“It seems we have won this round.” he stated as his haste spell ended its duration. He shook away the fatigue the spell always brought on. The elf plopped down on the ground.

“We need to get out of here.”

Kryss ~

I had stopped the moment he said he left me and skyler with something. What could he mean by that? I let it slide this one time, willing to think about it later.

Knelt down by Dom and the others out of breath and waiting for Dom to be able to use his legs again.
"I think we should move yes, but we have to let Dominic take his time, this was pretty harsh for his body to take like that."

Thalryn

The elf looked again at Dominic’s legs. It didn’t look good.

Not in the least.

“I guess you’re right, Kryss. I just thought it’d be best to move while we can. Jas or I can carry him if need be.” he gestured to the diseased oracle.

The ferret poked her head out of Thalryn’s pack. Where do we go from here? She addressed the group.

Skyler

She was perfectly happy to stay in Dominic's embrace. She was worried about him. What had Avrice mean't when he mentioned that he left somesthing with Dominic and Kryss. Well Dominic's was obvious with the blackness on his legs, but what about Kryss. It worried her since he mentioned it wasn't as obvious.

She looked up to Dominic and then to Thalryn's ferret, Elistraee, "We were headed for sanctuary. We need to get there and find out what Avrice has done to Dominic and Kryss to see what he did and see if if can be removed or stopped."

She looked back to Dominic then."Can you walk?"

Kryss ~

Sat there in in complete silence, now dwelling on what he could have possibly done. Is it bad? Of course it had to be bad, he's an evil necro. That night with me and him? Nothing was seriously out of the ordinary..... Was it? Just fithy sex..... Then again he did release in me......
My head was spinning hard, from relief that the fight was over, fear for whatever the hell he had done. Thoughts and visions wouldn't stop coming, seemed like the harder I tried to keep calm the worse it gotten. Lost deep in my thoughts, didn't even hear the ferret ask her question, other voices were distant.

Jasleth

Kyle stared at the spot Avrice had disappeared from. He closed his eyes, feeling a fury of helpless frustrationbreak over him. "Damn it!" He slammed his fist into the ground, the cobbles cracking under his fist. So close...he had the necromancer dead to rights, then lost him. He was free, free to kill others, free to hurt Kyle's friends again. In the back of his mind, he heard Jas ask for control, but brushed it off. They were his friends too.

He made his way over to the small group that had gatehred about the prone Oracle. Kyle fell to his knees beside Kryss, puting an arm around her shoulders and hugging her to him. "Thank you Kryss, you saved my life, love." "Don't worry about what he said, we'll find it out, we'll fix it, and he'll beg for mercy before the end." He could almost feel teh choas in her, the confusion and worry. "Just remember what I said before, nothing can change how I feel." "How we feel, and that will give us the strength to win." Kyle took a moment longer, just to hold the blue-skinned beauty close, the faint scent of the nighttime forest that clung to her somwhow easing the stink of the burned bodies that surrounded them.

Then he sighed, rising to his feet. "We should get underway now." "I will carry Dominic as far as need be," he smiled reassuringly at the Oracle, "Though we were going ten times as far." Kyle looked over the still quiet town. "I don't think anyone will stop us from leaving, though I don't expect any help either."

He bent down, one hand going under Dominic's kness and the other under his upper back, lifting the silver haired magician as easily as he would a small child. "We'll stop at the Inn to grab our things, but then let's just go." "There is a hostel about four hours walk to the north that we can stay at, we'll need the rest." "They may also have a healer who can look at our wounds," he winced as fresh pain ran throughthe long slash that ran diagonally up his chest. "Let's go...I want to leave this place far behind me."

Skyler

She shifted in Dominic's grasp as Jasleth reached down and scooped him up. She looked to Jasleth noticing him wince. She spoke softly in his mind. "Jasleth.. I'm so sorry."

She truly felt bad for being forced into hurting any of her friends. It would have just killed her if she had hurt him any worse. She snuggled close in Dominic's arms. Just satisfied to be this close to him, besides the speel had drained her alot and she was tired.

She knew if she took the time to change back, she would only hinder the group. She curled up in Dominic's arms and buried her nose in her fur to block the smell of fresh blood from Jas's wounds.

Thalryn

The elf glanced over to Kryss, who seemed to be tearing herself up inside. Thalryn suspected what Avrice meant when he said Kryss had something more “subtle.” For a minute he felt guilty for not interviening when he’d been in the room when she and Avrice were together. Then he easily dismissed the thought. After all it was she who’d seduced Avrice. The elf had watched it happen.

The elf pulled up the hood on the cloak, blocking out some of the chill from the night air as the quintet made their way back toward the inn.

Jasleth

Kyle felt eyes on the party as they made their way back to the Inn. Not hostile, but not friendly. Once they got there, he set Dominic down in an oak chair in the common room while Thalryn and Kryss darted upstairs to grab the packs. Hellfire...his muscles were sore from hard use, and the wound on his chest seemd almost to burn. Yes, he was sure now that it would scar...Avrice had left him with something as well.

He sighed, turning his attention to the black ball of fur in Dominic's arms that was Skyler. He hadn't said anything when she apologized before, not trusting himself not to lash out from the frustration he felt. Now though, he could. "Skyler, it's all right." "You didn't have a choice, I know that." "Just to head off any further guilt on your part, I forgive you." "I don't think it's necessary for me to say that, but I thought you might want to hear it." He was tearing up a table cloth as he spoke, binding his injuries as best he could. He smiled slowly, then turned to grin at the exhausted pair. "Next time you want to put me in my place though, just remember that I kicked your sweet little ass all over the street."

He stood up, and made his way to the rear, where the refuse was. "If you'll excuse me, I have to get these arrowheads out." "If you hear screaming, it's just me." He smiled wearily, "This is REALLY going to hurt."

It took him about fifteen minutes, being careful not to tear his wounds much larger as he pulled the obsidian heads free. He tucked one into his belt as a souvenir, noting with a certain reluctant pride that the archer had been loaded for bear. All in all, the fresh bleeding helped clean the injuries, and he didn't make too much noise. He bound all of his injuries in the strips of table cloth, hoping that it had been cleaned recently. The last thing he needed was an infection.

Kyle was making an adjustment the dressig he had used on the dagger wound to his arm when he returned to the common room. Thalryn had broken down Dominic and Skyler's packs, distributing their gear to the other companions for ease of travel. The party quickly started out again, knowing that they had about six hours of night left to reach the northern hostel.

They found the north gate open, as though it had been anticipated they would go this way. Kyle felt a moment's hesitation, before looking up to see the shape of an enormous owl perched atop the gate mechanism. The giant raptor regarded his somberly, great eyes unblinking as they met Kyle's gaze. Then the massive bird beat its tremendous wings, with barely the noise of the rustle of leaves, and lifted effortlessly into the sky. It stayed low, easily within sight as it glided north as if showing the way.

"I think we have a guide...looks like the Sages of Sanctuary have decided they need to talk to us after all." He shifted Dominic in his arms, then began to lope forward in an easy jog. "Let's not keep them waiting, the way I see it, they owe us quite the explanation."

Dominic

I grunted loudly as Jas picked me up. The Blight was causing me pain; not intense, but quite irritating. It itched like crazy. I reached down to scratch it, but Kryss swatted my hand away, warning me that I should refrain from touching it until we knew how bad it was.

Why don't you tell them? Slip whispered in my mind. Tell them the properties of the Blight.

It's not necessary, Slip. It's been a long day and I don't want to worry them anymore than needed. If it becomes important, I'll tell them. I'm the only one affected, so I'm the only one who has to deal with it.

Ah...that's good old loner Dominic. Slip laughed. I ignored him and just layed my head back. I probably could have walked, but being carried just felt too good to pass up. Besides, the rest would probably do me good. I stroked Skyler's fur as we walked.

"So, we're headed to the Sanctuary finally." I coughed. "We should stop at Edmonds Field first. It's a small village at the base of the mountain the Sanctuary rests atop. The climb up won't be easy." I closed my eyes. "I hope that village is nicer to us than this one was."

Jasleth

Kyle laughed, a rueful, sad laugh. "The Law of Averages says we have to win one every now and then." "Don't waste your energy worrying about it Dominic." "I seem to recall hearing about Edmond's Field...they have a good reputation for hospitality."

The group ran on for perhaps another half an hour in silence, still following the noiseless flight of the gigantic owl overhead. Dominic dozed in his arms, drifting in and out of slumber.

"I'm sorry, Jas." "I did not mean to be rude, but...well...I wanted to see this through to the end."

"I understand, man." Jas mentally shrugged. "I would have done the same, though next time, I get to fight the necro, cool?"

Kyle sighed. "Of course...I just wanted to be with them...and with her...but I can't hold on much longer." "I guess I'm just not used to this much effort, or pain."

"You know, if you'd just accept that we're the same, we wouldn't have to do this."

"There are too many questions." "How and why did we become seperate in the first place?" "Which of us would we be?" "I'm not ready."

"Fine," Jas said. He then started a bit, realizing he had spoken aloud. He grinned sheepishly at Thal and Kryss, shrugging as best he could with the Oracle in his arms. As they ran, a thought occured to him. "Hey, Skyler..." The twitch of an ear told him that the black furred ferret was listening. "Not sure how to say this, but do you get the feeling our boy Dom here is holding something back?"

Kryss ~

I had went up to the rooms to grab my stuff, thankful it was there. Before I went back down, layed down on the bed and just cried. Cried in the peace of the room, no eyes watching, no one to ask me if I was ok, it just felt really good to just lay and let out every emotion that I couldn't before. I did want to go to Jas, to attend to his wounds, wanting be with him, but right now this is what I really needed.

After letting it all out, Jas's words rang deep in my soul, every part of me was hearing him

"Thank you Kryss, you saved my life, love." "Don't worry about what he said, we'll find it out, we'll fix it, and he'll beg for mercy before the end."

"Just remember what I said before, nothing can change how I feel." "How we feel, and that will give us the strength to win."

Part of me felt happy that he felt this way, then that other part, that part that betrayed me, betrayed Jas. It was me that provoked, there was something I was going to do. Confuse him or something, its hard to explain what happened. I've never been that damn easy... Not like that... Now he did something, there had to be something in his seed, that is now runing through my veins. Had to be...... but.... but what? I know for a fact that I will not be having his demon child...
I had gone berserk back there at the court.. Normally I wouldn't do that, no way I would do that... Let alone make someone suffer, even a person like Avrice... Whats strange is... I enjoyed watching him burn. I enjoyed controling the flame that was burning deep into his skin.

"What's wrong with me?"

I was looking in the mirror, looking at the strager that I always saw IRL. Looking into another soul, it was like something was begging to let out. Feeding off my emotions, my anger. Saw the fire deep in my eyes. All this since that night with Avrice.....

Washed my face with cool water, trying to make it look like I wasn't crying, my eyes told differently. Took a few deep breaths to calm down looking one last time in the mirror;

"Who ever you are, we will be fine... We will get over this and out of this game.... Maybe we will be happy again... Happy with Jas and Kyle... Just back to being happy."

Took one last deep breath holding a few seconds, then left the room. Was tempted to go get my cloak, but I didn't want to go back to that room, if I did, I would put the whole building a blaze, bringing it down to the ground in ashes.

Caught up with the others without words and followed quickly after Jas without any further thought about this place.... for now about Avrice... For once I was at some ease as I ran beside Jas and Thal, casting my running spell to help us get there in a reasonable time.

Thalryn

Thalryn ran ahead of the group on point. He was a good thirty feet or so in front, making sure nothing caught them unawares. He was still in eye sight of them, and he could barely make out what little conversation there was.

Mostly it was just running, following the owl, the wise one. Always trying to keep up with the owl. It was harder running than usual with the extra load from Skyler and Dominic’s packs, but the elf figured if Jasleth could carry Dominic, he had no right to complain.

Skyler

She heard Jasleth say her name and she twiched and ear to let him know she had heard. She looked up and her ice blue eyes questioned him. "I don't know if he is or not Jasleth, I hope he's not and if he is I don't know what it would be. I will see if I can get him to talk with me."

She still felt bad about attacking him, even though she had no control over her actions when she did. She could tell the wound across his chest was irritating if not painful, she hated the fact that she would always know what she had done to her friends and would always regret letting that damn fool Avrice get control of her.

She turned her gaze up to look to Dominic's face as he stroked her fur. She didn't know what was bothering him, but she could tell by his silence that there had to be something. She didn't think he would even tell her, so she decided it better to talk to one who might, wether he liked her or not.

"Slip, I know you are connected to Dominic, please get his to tell us what's bothering him... or please you tell me if you know. Now is not the time to keep things from each other."

She hoped the lizard would talk with her, if it didn't work she would have to be direct with Dominic. She was worried about Avrice's last comments to Dominic about him leaving him and Kryss with something. She was sure the something to Dominic was the blackness on his legs, she couldn't guess what it was with Kryss.

From the girl's actions she could tell she was being eaten by an inner conflict. She just whished she had the nerve to ask her about it.

Jasleth

"Yeah...guess we'll just have to wait and see." As he spoke though, he looked over at Kryss. He wanted to go to her, to try and talk to her about the conflict she was feeling. To hold her until it was all right, even if only while she was in his arms. The only chance for that was still an hour or more ahead of them though.

He snarled softly, promising himself that the next time he saw Avrice, the necromancer would not escape. Even though they had won the battle, the war was still in doubt. Dom wracked by whatever the disease was, Kryss tormented by his threat and perhaps by herself, Skyler guilt-ridden and doubting herself. Meaning all of them weren't their best. Unless they could resolve the problems...well, if they made it to Sanctaury, he wasn't sure that any of them would be willing to leave when it was time. The town would accept anyone who reached them, since the trials of the path tested mind and soul as well as body. After the peace of Sanctuary...he had ne doubt they would make it...would anyone want to go back to a mission they had no idea how to accomplish, opposed by forces they didn't know the power of?

Questions for later. For as he had lost himself in thought, the twinkling lights of Edmonds' Field came into view. "Hey!" "Heads up, we're almost there!" "Finally, we can get a moment's peace."

Thalryn

Thalryn stopped at a tree and waited for the others to catch up. He figured they should be together when they entered the town. He’d learned his lesson the last time, when he took off instead of waiting for Jas.

The elf pulled back the hood on his cloak as he joined up with the others, nodding to Jasleth. He was extremely thankful they hadn’t met any unwanted “travelers” on the way so far.

As they neared the village, the sky slowly began to lighten, and the first rays of sunlight were minutes away.

Dominic

You wan to know what's bothering Dom? Slip asked sarcastically. I'll tell you what's bothering him. His legs look like god damn road maps. I'd be bothered if some Necromancer fucked up my legs too.

I continued to stroke Skyler's fur. I felt bad about not saying anything, but I didn't want to break our sudden swell of good luck. Besides...It was only my legs. if it spread...then we can worry. But for now, it's not too bad.

As sunlight rose up, I smiled. I hadn't felt the warmth of the morning for a few days and this was nice. "Ah...sunlight. We lived to see another day. Who would have guessed it, eh?"

Edmond's Field came up and if the quaint cottages and serene farm lands were any indication, we would finally get some much deserved rest.

Skyler

"Damnit Slip I know that. Do you know what it is? Oh... hell forget it. Don't help."

She shifted some in Dominic's arms and her blues looked up to him. "Dominic, Are you ok? I know Avrice did something to your legs, do you have any idea what it is? We... I want to be able to help you, but can't if we don't know what we're dealing with. Well that is if you know what it is."

She nuzzled against his hand, the sun was coming up, she wanted so desperately to be out of this game and home, maybe with him sitting on the porch, drinking coffee and sharing the sunrise.

Jasleth

"Damn it...sunrise so soon." Jas wanted to stay out in the light, feel the warmth on his body, but he knew it would be better for Skyler if they got inside. That was she could change back before the sun stole all her power. "Double quick, guys!" "We're racing the sun this time!"

Jas broke into a full sprint at that point, knowing that Kryss's magic would sustain him long enough to get to the hostel. Ahead of him, he saw Thalryn easily outpace the rest of the team, reaching the wooden pallisade a minute or more ahead. Jas saw the elf speaking quickly to the gate guards, who nodded and pointed as if giving directions. As he and Kryss neared the gate, Thal took off again. The guard yelled out as they approached, "Oy!" "Yer mate filled us in, go on and follow 'im to the 'ostel!" "We'll send word tha' ye need a 'ealer!"

"Thanks!" Jas dashed by the man, following the nimble elf through the few streets of the village. It didn't take long to arrive. As Jas burst through the door, Thal was alraedy at the desk, turning and throwing a key at the monk. Jas caught it in his teeth, then dashed up the stairs. There was a moment of danger when he was balencing Dom, Skyler, and Slip all in one arm while getting their room door open, the Oracle and the two animals he carried hanging out over the floor below precariously for a moment before the key turned and the solid wooden door opened. "Made it!" He set Dom down on the bed, making sure the shutters were shut and the curtains pulled over them. The small room was dark now...hopefully dark enough for Skyler. "All right...that should do it." "I think it's dark enough for you to go human, if you want to Skyler." He moved his right arm in a circle, trying to ease some stiffness out of it. "We can settle with the hostel when we leave, that's how these places usually work anyway." "I'll tell them to send someone up with some food, and with luck the healer should see to us in a few hours." He smiled before exiting, "I think we'll have a little peace here...but don't drop your guard."

He wandered downstairs, now beginning to feel the fatigue setting in. Jas walked over to where Kryss stood, the brooding dancer not noticing his presence until he had swept her into a firm embrace. "We're safe now, love." "Safe." He squeezed her tighter, whispering for her ears alone. "I want to listen, if you want to talk, Kryss." "Let me be here for you." He was silent for a moment, just holding her. Letting himself for a moment, be as tired outside as he felt inside.

Then he looked over to Thalryn, "Thal, my man, you are fast." "Thanks for clearing the road." "For the fight too...We all owe you one, brother." "I'm glad to have you along." "So...what are the arrangements for the rest of us?"

Kryss ~

Pretty much made myself go numb of all emotions right now, not wanting to feel much of anything. Specially the anger I had for myself and for Avrice. Didn't even totally hit me we made it to town till I felt Jas's embrace, his words in my ear, I held onto him just as tightly, almost afraid of letting him go. If I did he may never come back.

"The time is still wrong m'love, we need to get these wounds of yours healed, same with Thal's. I can take care of most of the scarring but there will still be some sign of it, I'm afraid."

My words were simple adn plain, not having the life in them like I normally do. Looking towards Thal, my eyes were dead to the world, probably from all the excitment and no sleep, or I just shut myself down for the time being.

"Do you have any serious wounds? cuts or anything? I wasn't paying much attention during the fight, spells take a lot of energy ya know."

From I could see there were no serious cuts, but then again he's also wearing his cloak so it was hard to tell. Turned back to Jas, having the same dazed, lost look, as if the spark was gone from my eyes.

"I shall tell you m'love.. Thal, I'm afraid, already knows, but this needs to come from me. Plus now, well........... It will also explain how Avrice did whatever it is he did to me... But as I said, the time is still wrong..."

Slight coldness ran through my voice, wasn't like I was upset or scared, just plain without emotion.

Thalryn

The elf shrugged off his pack, and Elistraee squeaked in protest and jumped onto Thalryn’s cloak. Then Jasleth reappeared from upstairs, massaging the tight muscles in his arm. The monk neared the bar and embraced Kryss, then turned to the gold elf and spoke, Thal, my man, you are fast. Thanks for clearing the road. For the fight too...We all owe you one, brother. I'm glad to have you along."

Thalryn smiled somberly. “I’m not any faster than you or Skyler, I just make use of magic.” He reached down and tapped his boots. “They’re known as ‘Boots of the Cheetah.’ All my speed comes from these.” He looked back up to the monk.

“And as for the fight, you did a hell of a job yourself. Taking Avrice AND Seth like that. It was crazy watching that technique you did when you killed Seth. I just wish the dead would’ve stayed that way the first time we killed them.”

Kryss looked to the elf then, and her eyes were like that of the zombies he’d slain. "Do you have any serious wounds? cuts or anything? I wasn't paying much attention during the fight, spells take a lot of energy ya know."

Thalryn revealed the crescent moon scar on his right palm, then the glowing green band on his left finger. He pointed to the ring.

“More magic. It’s a ‘Ring of the Troll.’ Over time all my wounds heal themselves over, and after that run we just had, I’m about as good as I’m likely to get.”

He pulled Elistraee out of his cloak and stroked her dark fur. Then raised his eyes to Kryss’s again. “The scar will probably never heal, but the tenderness is gone from the burn.”

He pushed back his hair and opened his cloak, throwing it back over his shoulders to resemble a cape. Then he turned to the bartender, “A glass of Elven Firewine.” He listened to Kryss speak to Jasleth, then spoke to the bartender again.

“Make that two.”

Jasleth

The deadness of her voice was like a knife wound. Indeed, it felt almost as though his stomach had been pierced. Red-wine eyes blinked first simply stunned, then worry came into them. The stiffness of his muscles, the persistent pain of his injuries, all vanished as fear raced through the monk.

He glanced over her head at Thal, who had just taken a pair of goblets from the plump matronly woman behind the bar. The elf quirked a slender eyebrow, conveying with that one gesture volumes of meaning. "We all have scars, my heart." He sat down on a chair, pulling her with him, and setting her on his lap, leaning against his chest. "In or out...they seem to collect with time." "It'll be nice to have some scars that aren't in myheart for a change." "So my wounds aren't important right now...but yours are." "If the time's wrong for you to tell me, then it's wrong, I have no problem letting that go, but please..." His voice was low, but pleading. "Please tell me what I can do to put the life back in your eyes, and vigor in your voice."

She had taken the offered goblet wordlessly, taking a deep drought from of the fiery tasting liquid within. He lifted her chin with his fingers, forcing her to meet his gaze. "Don't hide away love...don't let him win after we beat him."

Kryss ~

Just being in his arms made all the difference in the world to me. Wanted to smile, wanted to cry, anything, just couldn't. As I sat on his lap, rested my hand on his bare chest through the split shirt. Healing his wounds without words, slight fiery glow from the touch reaching across the whole wound. It was hard to see with his back against the chair, but even the wounds from the arrows had the glow. Healing them properly, shrinking the scars as little as possible.

The wounds on his back were hardly noticable, they were still there, just look like they have been there for years. Same with the one on his chest, there was a slight trail reaching up and down, the top and bottom were really faint, deepest part of the wound was left as a scar.

Taking the drink that Thal had offered me, drinking practically the whole thing. Hadn't realized how hungry and thirsty I was till then. When I heard the tone in his voice, the look in his eyes, his words about scars within the heart. It was almost to much, it still wasn't the right time, but just couldn't hold it back from him any longer. It didn't even matter that Thal was there, for he knew what happened.

Was shaking like I was cold as I spoke, eyes were glazed over with wanting tears, at this point I just couldn't cry anymore. I was all out of tears. And he saw that. Told him how Avrice wanted a private dance, told him how I got carried away without seriously realizing just how much I was provoking it. How Avrice was the one that made the first move. I didn't go into exreme details, there was no need for it.

"I also regret to say that he.... well.. *looked away from his eyes, completly ashamed and upset with myself*
"He released, and I have a feeling that it was something in him that is now within me... I can promise that it is not a child... I'm scared... For all I know it could be whatever it is Dom has...."

Finally the tears broke free, partly relieved that I told, mostly scared that he would leave. If he did, I would have to fight this alone. Right now for the first time, I was scared of being alone. Willing to accept it, scared none the less.

"If you wish to never see me again, I will understand... I have no serious reason for my actions. Up to the point to where he kissed me, and ran his fingers through my hair...... Well you know how weak that makes me....... I told him I couldn't..... He kept going.. I wanted to get out... but......... My body betrayed......"

I didn't know what to do right now, if I should get off his lap, get my own room, sit somewhere else.... Or stay... I was frozen as I sat there trembling waiting for his reaction. Just waiting for another thing to go wrong. Waiting as the tears were streaming freely down my cheeks, for hopefully the last time tonight. Managed to look up to Thal, then to Jas. I wanted another drink, just an excuse to get up. It didn't happen, I was frozen.....

Skyler

She looked to Jasleth as he set Dominic on the bed, ”Thank you Jasleth, for getting us here safely and for everything.” She hopped out of Dominic’s arms and hopped to the floor, she waited till Jasleth left the room before shifting back to herself.

She looked to Dominic, “So, is there anything I can do for you or get you till the healer shows up?” She smiled softly, but her eyes betrayed her worry. He had been pretty quiet since the end of the battle and the trip here, Slip was his sarcastic self, but she was worried about Dominic.

She moved to sit beside him on the bed. She placed her hand on his as she looked to him.
