When RP takes control IC thread

Kryss ~

This place was freaking me, cept for the part that made me wonder if my cloak was in this building somewhere. Really wanting it back.

"Well we can no linger here for long I know that much. So I guess well ummm.... Get right down to it and strip... The faster we get out of here the better."

They all looked at me like I was crazy for telling them to strip. It's not like I wanted to see them ALL naked or anything, just this place gave a new meaning to creepy.

"Look if your so ... whats the word... timid? . Then I can invis all us and none of can see eachother. Would that make you all feel better?..... Being an elf I've seen to much to care whether a person is dressed or not.. not like we are going to have one big orgy is it?"

Laughed alittle at that thought, an orgy with these people. That would be.. interesting to say the least. I walked off into a corner behind some thick steam and started to undress, the steam was thick enough to not see details, enough to see just outlines. Once I was undressed started to wash up, suddenly realizing I didn't even have my pack with me, it was still in the room at the inn. Slight frustrated sigh let out as I started to at least rinse out my clothes.

Thalryn

The elf shook his head and smirked as Kryss walked off. He peeled off his tunic, revealing a well toned copper chest, then he unclasped his belt and placed his twin swords on the stone floor. Next the boots came off, then leggings. He stood for a minute completely naked, then stooped and picked up his clothes and swords, then entered the water.

He dropped his swords off at the edge of the bath, then went underwater, rinsing off the blood and grime from the day’s activities. He pulled the band out of his golden hair and let it fall as he surfaced.

He grinned as he flipped back his long hair. The elvish spirit was always most comfortably in the nude. Something about clothing was just…awkward. He shrugged at the thought, then dutifully began scrubbing his clothes. He glanced up from his green tunic to see Skyler enter the water, gloriously naked.

He grinned as his eyes met hers, and nodded his approval. He was always one to appreciate beauty, even in circumstances where he couldn't act on it.

He chuckled as he imagined Skyler's "abilities," then shook his head and went back to work on his tunic.

Skyler

She smiled briefly to Thal as she went under the water. She couldn't help but think he was good looking, hell she thought to herself all the men in the group were really good looking.

She was beginning to wonder what Dominic, well James looked like in person. She turned back to where Dominic and Jas still stood at the side of the pool.

"So are you two coming in or going to just stand there and watch?" She laughed softly as she wondered what their response would be.

Elistraee

The ferret easily passed the lizard as they entered the vent. She scurried up the pipe that ran up the shaft, then turned down the shaft that ran above the bath. Off to one side of the shaft was the main cathedral, on the other was the bath. She reached the end and looked into the cathedral, which seemed to be deserted.

Elistraee headed back for the first shaft and turned down another shaft. This one seemed to be the kitchen, and was also deserted. She rounded the ventilation system and came to a dead end.

Thal, I haven’t seen a soul so far, but I have to back track. I’m gonna head for the shaft over the main exit and see what there is to see.

Do what you can, Straee.

Thalryn

The elf slung his tunic out of the water and went to work on his leggings, every now and then glancing at Skyler. He turned and looked at Kryss, who had felt the need to hide herself from the others. He could see her just as easily as normal through the mist with his infravision. She had surprised him when she walked off. Perhaps she felt guilty for what she had done with Avrice.

Now that he thought about it, he should have foreseen that the knight would use that against them. How could he have let that happen, knowing what he knew about Avrice?

Thal, I haven’t seen a soul so far, but I have to back track. I’m gonna head for the shaft over the main exit and see what there is to see.

Do what you can, Straee. he thought back, then closed the mental connection.

He was taking out his own self talk on his leggings, which would be painfully threadbare if he weren’t more careful. He absently threw the rest of his clothing to the side of the bath, then fully submerged himself, relishing in the abandon of the warm water. He half rejected the group and went off on his own to find Seth and Avrice right there, then decided better of it. Life was too hard on your own, and he’d never get back to real life that….his thoughts trailed off as he seemed to come back to reality.

Real life? This is real. a voice in his head reinforced.

Nathaniel Walsh wasn’t popular. He wasn’t handsome. He wasn’t strong, or agile, or romantic.

He was incredibly smart.

That’s it.

He spent all his free time in games, learning everything he could about them. He took pride in being able to immerse himself in character. Role-playing was his escape from his mundane life as a nerd.

Something had happened in the game that wanted him to forget who he was, and he desperately wanted to forget who he was. Because he’d looked so far into the character, it was that easy.

He’d become Thalryn Amastacia.

Completely.

Nathan rarely had thoughts anymore, and they were always repressed and forgotten.

The game was reality.

I coughed as I watched Skyler undress and enter the water. The last time I saw her naked had to do with a shower as well...this kind of felt like deja vu. With one major difference.

Well, when in Rome...

I took my glasses off and set them down on a shelf. I took off my shirt and placed it on the floor by Thal's. I hastily removed my pants and placed them on top of it. I was never comfortable with nudity...especially around women. Especially around Skyler. I spared little time getting into the water. It was warm, but it didn't matter currently. I moved next to Skyler and Kryss and noticed it was possible to see their bodies through the water. I began to stare before I looked away.

I sunk down to my shoulders and let out a sigh. It felt good to get the sewer and drool smell off of me. I ran my hands through my hair. "Is there any soap? I can still feel that thing's saliva on me."

Jasleth

Jas was frozen as his companions stripped down and began to bathe. He stared up at the ceiling, blushing brightly. Inside the monk's mind an arguement was going on.

"Jas, forget it!" Kyle's voice was insistent, trying to wipe the images of both Kryss and Skyler's naked forms from his mind's eye. Damn...they were absolutely amazing, but it was wrong to think that way...wasn't it? "It's...it's just...well...embarrasising, not to mention rude."

"Kyle, it was Kryss who suggested, and Skyler agreed." Jas shrugged mentally, "Look at them, they're the most comfortable ones...other than Thal." "Besides, we have a pretty awesome body, man, why not show it off?"

Kyle sighed. "Look, I know you are correct." "I'm just...not used to this kind of thing." "Let's go and join Kryss, away from the others."

Jas seemed to shake himself back to reality. "You know, Skyler, I kind of like the watching idea...but there's no way I'm refusing the invitation." He made a little show of undressing, partially to cover his nervousness, a series of nimble acro moves accompanying the removal of each article of clothing. He sent the clothes splashing into one of the otehr tube, hoping the hot water would get some of the mess out of them as well.

Jas moved over to the far corner where Kryss was, allowing himself to submerge fully before breaking the water's surface again, grinning. "That's better." He leered playfully at Kryss. "Sure you don't need a hand, my beauty?" "And you'll have to bring up that orgy idea once we're in a safer spot, I think there's potential there." He heard a sputter behind him as Dom, who had been slowly sinking below the water again, gasped at his words. Thalryn chuckled, with quiet laughter soon filling the bath. Good, Jas was glad he had been able to lift their spirits with the joke. Although...it was an interesting idea...

Skyler

She watched as Dominic undressed, she tried to keep her head politely turned so as not to embarrass him or Jasleth, but also was a little too curious to see Dominic.

She noted Jasleth's hesitence, it was like he seemed to be arguing with himself about coming into the tub. Then he seemed to decide, she smiled at his comment about her comment about the watching. Then she thought for his being so nervous he made a decent show of undressing.

She looked to Dominic and smiled as he choked at Jasleth's comment. She raised a brow slightly, and lowered her voice to a for him only level. "You know this bath could be more fun if we were alone and not in so much of a hurry." She looked about then, not knowing where such a forward thought had come from out of her. Of course she realized she had tried a few times, with several interruptions to seduce Dominic, but with her feelings for him changing some she didn't want to seem...well to her too slutty.

She cleared her throat, softy. "We need to hurry, and get moving again." She felt better with the sewer grime off of her. "Dominic can you get Slip to find out if it is light or dark outside? I- we have a better chance to get out of town if it is dark, with out having to use invisibility spells."

She moved to the side of the tub and grabbed her clothes, she was then thankful they were made of thin, lightweight material, they washed out well and dried quickly.

Thalryn

Thalryn seemed to cheer up a bit at Jasleth’s orgy comment. Maybe then he’d show the humans how it’s done.

The elf pulled himself up onto the edge of the bath and hung up his dripping clothes. He mentally got in touch with Elistraee while he was doing so.

Straee, anything?

There are acouple guards at the entrance to the main cathedral, and random clergy interspersed throughout the monastery it looks like, but I’ve been all over the perimeter of the bath and I haven’t seen an immediate threat.

Good. Try and find a way to the roof that we can take then. Path me when you get there.

Still naked, the elf sat down on the floor, legs crossed. Water ran down the elf’s finely toned body as he closed his eyes to prepare the needed spells. His mind seemed to open up, drawing in the energy from the weave and incasing it in mental runes. Unlike human wizards, elves didn’t need spell books. They remembered the basis for every spell they cast, and could just fill in the magic whenever they needed.

Not that they had unlimited spells, they just had more options on which ones to use. Thalryn’s repertoire consisted entirely of spells from the illusion and alteration schools of magic. Because of his style of learning, he could switch out a haste spell for an invisibility spell, or vise versa. As long as the spells were about the same power.

The elf felt his being infuse with magic as he converted all his spell energy to invisibility. All together he should be able to cast the spell nine times. Hopefully that would be enough.

Thalryn’s emerald eyes fluttered open. He had dripped dry, and his hair was a mess of tangles. Well at least he didn’t smell like sewer anymore. He pulled a brush out of his pack and went to work, then pulled it back into the customary tail, binding it with a leather tie. He noticed Dom looking at him rather awkwardly, then he realized he was just sitting there, naked except for the amulet he wore. He sprung to his feet and stretched, showing off his toned muscles and bronze skin.

He was quite…pretty. Handsome was too masculine a word. Elves, especially golds, had very delicate looking angular features. Thalryn was distinctly male, with all the proper equipment and such, but he was still…pretty.

He pulled on undergarments and leggings, then boots. Bare chested, he clasped his swords back onto his belt, then folded his tunic, which was still wet, and stuck it in his pack. He knelt down to the water and wrung out his cloak, and smiled as he noticed that the magic of the item had begun to repair itself. He folded it as well and placed it in his pack.

Kryss ~

Was trying to not look at the others, didn't want to make them uncomfortable or anything. Also after tonights events the last thing I needed was to get aroused by looking at another person. Jas was different, none the less. I did feel eyes upon me although, fighting to ignore them keeping focus on the silk and cotton clothing. Heard Jas just when I was finishing the skirt, laying out on the side, smiled turning around to face him.

"umm me need help? Well if you were to help then things would lead into other things. Then perhaps this would become that orgy I had mentioned earlier."

Sly tone looking at the others for their reaction, I knew this wasn't the place to be joking around, the tesnion did need to be broken though. Least for now. That was the last time I would speak of it though, only because the more I saw of the others the more tempting it was. Damn whats wrong with me, this isn't me, nor is it Kryss....

Started to wash my hair with what I had to wash it with, wanted to scrub my skin raw to get the feel of Avrice off me, held out and just washed lightly.

"You wash my back I wash yours?"

Speaking lightly to Jas, wanting to feel his arms, his warmth around me again. Knowing there wasn't much time to really go any further. Glanced at the others to see if they were done or what the plan was, realizing how sweet looking that elf really was and how comfortable he seemed. Quickly tried to get further thoughts out of my mind, turning my attention to Jas as I started to wash his back tenderly.

"So umm whats the plan of getting out of here? I am sure that we wouldn't want to go back into that sewer after being cleaned."

Spoke to the whole group trying to keep my mind from straying.

Dominic

I followed Skyler's lead and got dressed again. It felt good to the slobber off of me, but we did need to get going. I didn't feel like getting another arrow to the leg.

I got out of the water and pulled my pants back on while mentally communicating with Slip.

Slip, is it day or night out? There was silence. Slip?

It...it's dusk. It'll be night in an hour.

Slip? Is everything okay? Are their people outside?

No...the town is pretty empty. Slip said. It's just, well, y'know thise squires and guards that were with Avrice? They are...um...how do I put this lightly? They're, well, they're dead.

"What!?" I yelled out unexpectedly loud. I dropped the shirt that was in my hands.

Dead. As doornails. All of them. They are all hanging from a large, dead tree outside of town. It's noose city. They look like spiders dangling from a web. I can't tell if Avrice is among them, though. There are too many dead bodies. Wow...must be a strong tree...

Get in here now Slip! I yelled at him telepathically. To the others, I said, "Um...getting out of town might be easier than we thought. All the guards are dead."

Skyler

She looked up from where she had stepped out of the pool and began to dress in her damp clothes, she was thankful they were light weight as they were almost dry.

"They're what? How could they all be dead?" She began to dress faster. "We really need to get out of here. This doesn't feel right at all."

Thalryn

The elf looked up, but he didn’t say anything aloud.

Straee, did you happen to notice any of the gaurds moving?

Well, no, but they’re guards. They’re supposed to stay at their posts, right?

Dom just said that all the guards outside are dead.

Ah.

Ah?!

Yes, ah. That would explain the smell.

Ah.

I passed a shaft with moving air, but it was rather foul.

You should get back here, Straee. I don’t have a very good feeling about what’s coming.

On the way, Thal

Green eyes scanned the bath, meeting the eyes of all his companions one by one. “You don’t think we should stay put until we figure out how…they…died?” the elf spoke as his hands nervously rested on the hilts of his swords.

“Whatever killed them might not be so happy to see us when we go out there. Do you think Avrice had everyone executed who let us get away, or was it something else, and if so, I don’t much like our chances.”

Jasleth

Jas was just finishing washing Kryss's back, whispering to her, "We'll have to try a more private bath sometime soon." Then Dom yelped. As Dom and Thal relayed what thier familiars told them, Jas's expression grew grim. He sighed, leaning against Kryss and giving her a firm squeeze. "Time to get moving, love."

He strode from the pool, quickly wringing out and pulling on his garments. Taking a moment to confer with Kyle, Jas turned his wine colored eyes to the now clothed party. "Skyler's right...we need to get the hell out of Dodge." "Ky, er, I don't think this was Avrice...hanging that many of the castle's own squires and guards would result in a riot that would make the O.J. riots look like a tea party." "Or if it is Avrice, he's got some serious power backing him up that isn't onthe town's side or ours." "Monsters, demons, who knows." As he spoke, Jas crossed to the door and opened it. "Either way, we don't want to stick around." "We make for the Bell Tower, from there we hit the rooftop express and take it to the nearest gate." "We'll have to decide exactly how to get out once we get there."

The monk padded softly into the empty corridor. the silence of the cathedral, and of the town around it, was deafening. Though it was just dusk...the shadows seemed darker and fuller than they should be. "Just in case things go bad," his voice was hushed, "we all try to get out." "Try to stick with someone else if we all get split up, I don't want anyone alone out here." "To the north, about two hours run, is a circle of standing stones." "That's the meeting spot if we have to seperate, got it?" They came to the anceint wooden stairs that led to the massive bells of the Gothic structure and began to climb. Jas growled low to himself...something was wrong...he could almost feel dread in the very air.

Skyler

"If it is still light there is no way I can leave here... but we can't wait. If Dominic wouldn't mind carrying me... well that is if Slip wouldn't mind sharing his room."

She looked to the others, she wanted to run, but was afraid to leave if there was still light. They followed Jasleth up into the bell tower, they turned a corner and started up another flight of stairs when she saw the fading shaft of sunlight on the steps and froze.

"You guys go.. I can't not yet."

Jas winked at the vampire, "I know you want to have some time with Dom, Skyler, but not this time." He grinned at the sharp look she directed his way. If looks could harm, they would have had to stop to bandage the gut wound she would have given him. "I meant it when I said we stay together...I have a real bad feeling about what's going on out there." The grin faded quickly. "I think we're going to need to be together to make it out of this." "It'll only be a few minutes until the sun is down."

He silently ran up a few more steps, crouching at the very top of the staircase. "I'll keep an eye out, we wait for full dark, then we move." From his vantage point, he could see littel of the immediate area, just the rooftops of far buildings, the walls of the palace proper, and the distant city walls. He heard nothing in the streets, saw no movement. Yeah...bad wasn't enough to cover this.

Thalryn

The elf smiled as Elistraee crawled out of a hole in the wall and scurried up his leg and into the pack. Then the elf ran up the rest of the stairs to take a look at the grounds.

The blood drained out of his face and he almost wretched when he saw the tree.

“Gods, what could possibly do something like that?! There must be hundreds…” he trailed off as he stared in horror at the death tree. Not a soul was in the streets, if there were even other souls left in the castle.

His gut tied itself in knots, and he turned away from the spectacle, eyes downcast and face grim. He plopped down on the top stair and slung off his back, then pulled out his cloak and tunic.

He’d begun to feel very cold all of a sudden as the sun started to disappear completely.

“I…I don’t think getting out in the open is a good idea.” the elf said anxiously as he unconsciously tightened his grip on the pommels of his twin blades.

Thal, something’s not right. I smell so much…fear. We need to get moving. Soon.

The ferret emerged from the pack and began pacing back and forth along the wall, as if trying to find a way through it.

I…I’m scared Thal. What are we gonna do?

Solemn green eyes met the ferret’s silver.

We’ll make it through somehow, Straee. We always manage to make it somehow.

Jas noticed Thal's hands tightening on the sword hilts. The elf was practically radiating worry...and fear. "Hey, Stay frosty, Thal." "I don't know that I like going out in the open either...but I know for sure we can't stay here." He could feal fear in his own stomach, but he took a deep breath, he couldn't allow fear to slow him down. His friends needed him to be brave and strong, Kryss would need him to be that way.

Jas crept down a few steps before standing at his full height. He needed to show strength, but didn't want any..thing that might be in town to see him. "We can all feel something out there...I know I do." He felt Kyle begin to slip in as well, the two workig smoothly in tandem as he continued to speak. "But we have to keep control, and not let our fear distract us." "Whatever has happened out there, we have each other." "As long as we hold to each other, as we have, it doesn't matter what it is, we can overcome it." He took a step up, reaching to palce a hand on Thal's shoulder. "It's a choice of evils." "We stay here and see whatever comes after us, or we go out and face it head on." "It's a group decision, but I say we take the initiative." "In almost every adventure we've had, we've been reacting." "I think it's time we acted first."

He smiled down at the others, "I'm scared too...but that doesn't matter." "Courage isn't not being afriad, it's beig afraid and acting boldly and rightly anyway." "I know all of you can do that, I've seen it." "I believe in you guys, I believe in us." "We have courage, faith, and justice is on our side." "The only other thing we need is luck...and luck just happens to be one of my skills." He paused, feeling embarrassed once he realized he had been making a speech. "Uh, anyway...five more minutes and the sun is down, then we move."

Jas hopped down next to Kryss, taking her into his arms. She melted into his embrace, the fierceness of it telling him just how concerned she was. She closed his eyes, burying his face in her raven hair. He comforted her as he held her, and she did the same for him. Both breathed easier in each other's arms, Jas feeling his fear dwindle. He whispered quietly, "I love you, Kryss..and that makes me unstoppable." The words were bold, and he meant them. Off in his corner of their mind, Kyle wondered if they would still mean it once the party was out in the dead city.

Kryss ~

Looking out into the open area, even before we got to the top fear swept over me big time.

"Ummmm not sure if its related or not.. but.. Guess now is the best time to say something... umm Before you guys got takened and I went out. There was this really thick fog. It gave off this feel as if it knew me... Or atleast as if it was searching for something, like it knew life. PC's vs NPC's. I felt it deeper than just as a game."

Paused for a moment, trying not to say to much and trying to think back to how it really felt. Come to think of it I did feel something strange about it in my rl form.... Real life? Been stuck in this game for so long I don't even remember her name... Either way, Felt something through her..

"It was like something was reaching out of the game. If that is possible. That's the best way I can explain it. I am not certain if it has anything to do with this. But it is something to think about.... It wasn't a pleasant... Almost as bad as this moment right now."

Held onto Jas as he embraced me, whispering that he loved me. I wanted to tell him that I loved him as well, then thoughts were overwhelming it was hard to tell how I really felt anymore. Like the human part of me was coming forth somehow. Part of me hope she would. Looked deep into Jas's eyes before bringing him into a deep kiss. Only to break;

"I love you to m'love"

whispered back to him in his ear. Never wanting to let him go, part of me was almost afraid of this night.

Thalryn

Thalryn looked into the monk’s eyes, and the man’s confidence steeled his resolve.

“You’re right, of course. I just can’t help but think about how our chances are when…” he motioned toward the tree. “But whatever happens will happen.”

He stood, picking up Elistraee as he went and placing the black ferret on his shoulder. Then he drew both swords and walked to the top of the tower and gazed out over the grounds. The wind whipped his hair and cloak as he stood, blades drawn and ready and the ferret perched atop his left shoulder as he dared the city to try him.

The elf turned grandly back to the group as the last rays of light descended behind him. “Whatever happens, I want all of you to know its been an honor fighting beside you. I know I may seem overly pessimistic about all this, but if anything happens, thank you all the same.” His eyes met each of theirs. First Skyler, standing anxiously, down the stairway standing next to Dominic. Then the oracle, who pushed up his glasses nervously as their eyes met. Then Kryss, who’s eyes peeked out from behind Jasleth’s shoulder. Finally, his emerald gaze settled on the monk, who nodded.

“Let’s do this.”

Jasleth

The last faint rays of sunlight left teh bell tower. At teh edge of Jas's vision, he could see the sinking sun painting the walls of the castle town red before the blue haze of twilight set in. A cold wind blew down the staircase, more than physcially cold, there was a spiritual chill to it. Jas shivered as he gave Kryss a final squeeze, then climbed the steps to stand at the top. He forced himself to look at the grotesque tree,a nd the bird pecked bodies that swung almost gently int he cutting wind. "That's right, Jas." Kyle agreed, hie mental voice sounding a bit sick. "Don't look away from it." Face it, overcome it, and it can't hurt you."

JAs looked back at the others. "The sun is down." "It's time." He stalked froward onto the roof, trying to keep his profile low. "We'll stick to the slopes of the roofs, but not too close to the edge." "That should keep us from showing up against the skyline or horizon." He licked his lips, feeling some sort of dread presence was becoming vaguely aware that something yet lived in the town. "Soft and quick, like shadows now." "Follow me."

Dominic

I took a deep breath as Thal looked out of the door again. It had become dark and was now safe to move. I felt Slip scamper up my leg, then up to my shoulder.

I hate this...Do we have to run from every city? The iguana asked. I merely ignored him. I grasped Skyler's hand in mine and walked to the door. Thal pushed it open and the barren city was open to us.

There were very few lights on in the houses. Everyone must be hiding from whoever or whatever killed those squires. I let the cobblestones crumble beneath my feet as I walked. There was an echoing silence.

God damn...it's empty in here. Slip looked around wearily. I nodded and we moved to the town's exit. My eyes moved to the tree a few yards away. I could see a familair female by the tree.

"Shit...it's Soliel." I said softly. "It's really her." I turned back to my companions, then headed out to the tree. As I neared it, Soliel turned to face me. Slip coughed, the stench of blood and death was strong in the air.

"Soliel? Soliel?" I asked. She didn't respond. I stopped a few feet away, slightly scared of her beady yellow eyes. "Soliel...we thought you were dead."

"She is." A voice said. I turned sharply as a man in black robes came out from behind the tree. Seth was following him obidiently. "That's the irony. She is dead. So is Seth." He lifted his hood back, revealing his face. It was Avrice.

"What do you mean dead?" I asked.

"Dead. As dead as these squires." He geustured around him. The dead boys swung in the wind. "But there is obviously a difference, eh?" As he stepped out into the moonlight, I could see the markings on his face, like the ones in my vision. I suddenly remembered what they meant. It was the marks of a sacraficial ceremony.

"You!" I sputtered. "Y-you aren't really a knight! You're a...a..."

"Yes. A necromancer." Avrice nodded. "I killed Seth, I found Soliel, and I killed these boys. This ceremony is going to give me enough power to get what I came for." He pointed to Jas. "Your death. Your life energy will be mine." His hands begun to glow and his eyes turned an eerie yellow. "You may have evaded execution, but you won't escape this."

There was a snapping noise and every squire in the tree broke their nooses and landed on the ground. They looked at us with murder in their eyes. Seth and Soliel came to the front to lead the attack.

"My children...attack!" Avrice shouted. The undead guards screamed and charged at us.

Skyler

She looked on in disgust and then horror as Avrice showed his face. She was stunned when the bodies in the tree all broke free and then Soliel and Seth along with the other chraged the party.

She pulled her katana ready to me the onslought. She looked to Avarice, and thought that's who we need, stop him and stop them.

She stepped forward with the others to meet the attack.

Jasleth

The world seemed to freeze as Arvice commanded the undead forward. All Jas could see was Soliel's dead face. Of all that Avrice had done...that was the worst. His feelings about her were ambigious, yes, but she had been so alive, so vibrant. He had no right to make her into this...this mockery of life.

Avrice wanted him, did he? Well...he'd get Jas's life force, his ki, jsut not in the way he wished. "You're an idiot, and a monster." "You can't get what you want." Jas leaped to the attack, kicking the leading squire in the stomach, and sending the corpse rocketing back into several others, all tumbling into a heap. "I am the Prodigioius Youth!" "I am hipper than Arwan, and sexier than Kali!" "I cannot die!" He unconsciously brought his arm up, barely deflecting an arrow that would have taken him in the eye. Grabbing the closest zombie, he leaped over the thing, using his weight to throw it into the rushing wave, sending more tumbling to the ground. Ducking another arrow, he flipped backward, catching another just under the chin. He felt the jaw crack and pierce through to the brain before he landed and the shattered body fell to the earth. It alone did not rise.

Jas rolled forward as an arrow whistled through where his head had been. "Kryss!" "Give me fire, love, as much and as hot as you can while keeping some healing back!" He came up into an uppercut that sent another corpse reeling. "Dom, put some throwing knives down on Soliel if you can't magic her, that bow is too dangerous!" He smashed his right elbow into a stomach, snapping his fist up into a dead face. "Thal, you're on Seth, take care of him and as many zombies as you can!" He spun, crushing another skull with a heavy ax kick. "Skyler, keep Avrice from casting, I'll help you put him away once I thin these things out." He gathered his ki, then spun up into a series of rising punches that sruck all around him, clearing a space. "Spin Fist!"

For a brief moment, he was free from the fight, and his eyes met Avrice's. Jas snarled, feeling a dozen light cuts all over his body from the clawing nails of the squires and Soliel's near misses. He started for the black robed man, but the corpses surged forward again, cutting him off as Avrice's cold laughter filled the air.

Thalryn

Thalryn tossed his pack and headed into the fray as Elistraee retreated down his leg and away from the fight. He came in hard, batting away an arrow with one blade and parrying a zombie’s short sword. Entropy flashed across the undead squire’s chest as Seldarine slammed the short blade wide. Both swords crossed on the short sword as it came back in, and Thalryn pushed down, trapping the zombie’s arm low. He then dropped to the ground on his back and kicked up, sending the undead flying back to the tree.

He inhaled deeply as he came in again, looking for Seth.

On instinct he sidestepped and just missed the undead Knight’s broadsword. Seth had a maniacal grin on his face as he came in again. “I’m gonna take pleasure in guttin’ you, elf.” He cackled as his sword slammed against Thalryn’s twin blades.

The elf backflipped over Seth’s low chop, getting some distance in between himself and the undead knight, but Seth was charging in as he landed. Thalryn parried two quick thrusts, but he was on his heels, and couldn’t counter the blows. He backpedaled as the knight continued to press the attack, and the sound of blade hitting blade was coming so fast it was almost a constant ring.

The elf parried high, knocking the broadsword out wide, but the large weapon came back in with unnatural speed. Blades danced high, then low, then crossed to block a vicious overhead chop. Thalryn’s wrists were feeling the strain of the superior strength of the undead human. He didn’t know how much more of the assault he could absorb before fatigue set in.

Then he backed into the monastery wall.

He ducked under a high swipe, then countered with a double thrust, which pierced the knight’s torso. The crazed undead howled in pain and thrust low again, but the elf leapt into the air. One foot on the knight’s broadsword as it hit the wall, he kicked off the wall as he turned in the air, blades held close as he sailed over Seth’s head, spinning in mid air.

He landed on his toes and used the momentum to go into a back flip. Landing again on his toes, he charged the knight, who was just then turning to meet the elf as he charged in.

Thalryn came in strong and low, Entropy knocking Seth’s broadsword out wide as Seldarine cut a searing line across the knight’s thigh. The knight smirked, but seemed to lose some of his speed. The broadsword came in strong again after absorbing the elf’s initial charge. Seth worked Thalryn’s blades high, thrusting and slashing at neck level repeatedly. The blade singer worked furiously to avoid the blade as Seth just grinned confidently. Again and again blades flashed, dancing about as the knight worked the elf’s defense higher and higher.

Suddenly the knight dropped to a crouch and in one fluid movement stabbed for the elf’s chest with the sword and a long dagger that he now revealed in a double thrust low. Thalryn reacted on instinct, his blades crossing in an X and knocking the attack low. He then kicked out over the blades, catching the knight full in the chest.

Seth slammed back into the stone wall, his blade held low. Thalryn came in hard again, trapping the undead knight’s sword between Seldarine and the cold stone of the monastery as he slashed left across the knight’s chest, then came back across his throat. He released his hold on Seth’s sword and spun backwards, switching his grip on his blades as he stabbed behind him, deep into Seth’s chest. He pulled out in one fluid motion and spun again, both blades high as the knight staggered against the wall. The twin swords connected again and the undead knight dropped to his knees, his head completely severed from the attack.

Thalryn kicked away the broadsword and dagger just for good measure as the body collapsed on the ground. He turned back to the rest of the battle, panting hard.

Stood there stunned for a moment, wasn't sure what kind of spells I had to fight undead. Jass' voice brought me back, telling me to light these things on fire. Immediatly I put a sheild around everyone, greater sheilding help minimize the cuts and other attacks they were getting, mostly it protected them all from fire. Other spells it did not, mainly a fire sheild.

Looked around for a few moments, trying to get a better focus on who I should go after first. The squires, there were a ton of them. Poor kids. Focused on a fire ball, staring at Avrice while doing it, wanting to hit him. He will be next though for right now just looking at him was bringing back the emotions from earlier. This time I was in control, having a ball about the size of an extremly large beach ball, turned to where the main battle was. Right in the middle of all the squires it landed. Exploding everywhere flames landing on every squire, Seth and sadly Soliel.
None of the flames hit the party but all the dead around them were now on fire.

Turning back to face Avrice sly grin on my face, staring at his once again oblivous stare, he was focusing hard on Jas. Just whispered to my self

"Mess with m'love and my friends your going to pay the price."

With that the anger of him using me, thoughts of him taking Jas away from me was building up. The flame in my hands were burning so strong that it became blue, then green the size of the basket ball. I aimed it right at Avrice and shot full spead in his direction.

"Never mess with me again."
