Where did you get your Lit name?

Recently, I ran across a book on my amazon wishlist: Slut! Growing Up Female with a Bad Reputation by Leora Tanenbaum. I was accused by many of being a slut in high school when I was still a virgin. I guess I was very sensual even back then, and not many knew how to take it.

Suddenly, last week, I realized I was actually a
Pseudo Slut.
The name is only a few days old, but I think it fits nicely.

pseudo is defined as: not genuine but having the appearance of.

I tried being a slut, but could never find the right people.
Now that I have found you all, I am married.
I couldn't wait, my darlings. :rose:
Ah, well. ;)

I've read that book and I love it.

I haved loved the song Blue Moon by Sinatra ever since I was a little girl. - bluemoonie didn't sound as cool as moonieblue.

I think there was a thread somewhere of this type, before. I remember explaining this then. But, I have no problem explaining again.

I'm DVS. I have a devious personality, both sexually, and socially. I have a dry sense of humor, too, that can sometimes be considered devious. The word devious can be pronounced without the vowels by just saying the consonants alone. DeViouS. It's pretty simple, when you think about it.

I think I've told this story. It's sort of an anagram of my given and middle names. With an accent.

:p

People ask me about my name all the time. Things like are you into playing werewolves?

Are you furry?

Are you into "furry culture?"

I am, sometimes, and no, not that I think anything is wrong with it. None of that had nothing to do with picking the name.

Okay, now it can be revealed, this is how it happened. I was playing with my kitty. She is brown with red glints in her silky fur. I was doing one of her favorite things, pulling a string, around and around.

Her tail got all puffed up and the fur on it sprung out like a bottle brush or a Christmas tree. She was flying in a fury going in circles, her eyes were huge with excitement. Sometimes she couldn't even control her body and would just sort of spastically jump and paw at things. She was so happy and excited. She's a FurryFury, I thought to myself.

Hey! I like the sound of that. I think I'll use that somewhere. That is how I came up with my site name. I did a site search to see if anyone else was using it and they weren't. I use it other places too though. FurryFury is all over the place...

And here, for those who might care to see her is the precious inspiration:

I saw the movie Quills about the Marquis DeSade and loved Geoffrey Rush's portrayal of the boisterous, flamboyant, perverse, egotistical, rebellious, headstrong and ethically puzzling Marquis so much that I immediately went out and bought his most famous book, Justine: The Misfortunes of Virtue.

His provocative nature, his sense of humor and the way he can be so deliciously lewd for the commonfolk and so infuriatingly perceptive for the erudite at the same time were all characteristics I admired deeply. I could go on and on with this, but the bottom line is the Marquis DeSade is someone I identify with a lot.

His quote in my sigline has never changed. It is, in many ways, the story of my life.

kajira = slave
callista = most beautiful, or heavenly

It was a name given to me when i was 21...and it has kinda stuck. :)

People who know me in r/l have asked if my name is from Sir from lifestyle, and Winston because I smoke (too much {though menthols, not Winstons}), but the truth is that it's an homage to one of my lifelong heroes, Sir Winston Churchill, one of the 20th century's greatest thinkers, wits and statesmen. I love the story of Lady Astor telling him once in the House of Lords, "Sir, if you were my husband, I would poison your coffee!" Churchill's immediate response: "Madam, if you were my wife, I'd drink it!"

Yin and Yang because I constantly struggle with two aspects of my persona. The rebelious, strong willed, stubborn side. And the weak, little girl afraid side. Thats it. :)

2nd awesome churchill quote: Woman: "Mr. Churchill, you are DRUNK!" Churchill: "And you Madam, are ugly. In the morning, I shall be sober. You, madam, willl still be ugly."

I drive a old Landcruiser ute named Errol.
Pickup for those not familiar with australian jargon.
He's like me; a bit battered, pretty rough and tough,
A bit intimidating,
Goes anywhere,
Hasn't and isnt ever going too look too flash, or go too fast.
Has been around and played around.
Rolls with the punches, and keeps on going.
Can hold a lot of beer.
Landcruisergal. LCG.

At the time of registering, i'd always had very sinful thoughts, desires, and fantasies. i was innocent ... having never shared them, nor acted them out with anyone. i wanted a name for myself that would in some way portray WHO i am. The '0' separates right from left (as in the thought of an angel being on one shoulder with the devil on the other). The one difference now is, i'm learning that the angel and devil really enjoy being let out to play with each other.

It's from Paradise Lost; Satan whispers next to the sleeping Eve's ear and tempts her in her dreams.

Everyone seems to have a story to go with their name.
Maybe I need add a story to mine.
Once upon a time......

So, now there's something wrong with being "just laurel-marie, plain and simple"?

Mine is my Hebraic name. I rather enjoy it. The _ms at the end was from a former Master but I can't trouble Laurel, as kind as she was last time to let me change my name, to request it again. So I really just go by malcah. :)

No, I like my name.
There was just no brain work behind picking my lit name. Maybe Iwas being lazy that day :)
