Who can clearly state the current Democrat position on Iraq?

Jimi, tell me about the Fall colors!

I'll bet it's beautiful this time of year...

:D :D :D

29 tomorrow, smartarse. :D

That will give 'em something to talk about...

Another victory, another celebration.

It was okay to be the loyal opposition when they were the minority party, but damnit, man, I expect the majority to lead and nobody is stepping up to the plate, especially Mrs. Bill Clinton.

Actually 'doing something' creates a record that can be criticized. I think they're trying to avoid doing something at any cost. And so far they're getting away with it.

What's even funnier is that they will actually run on their record!

I never tried harder at anything in my life...

Now, I must GIT!

They might lead us to hell before they are through.

Already there, son. You just don't realize it because you are a repubican. You people have brought the golden age of America to a head on close. You should be so proud of your train wreck.

Are you insinuating that I am not a gentleman?????

I have had Broncos in the past and an Expedition right now, all have been 4X4s. When I want to go fast I get a Chevy. :)

Sure... Yup. Them thar plastic cars were SO fast in the '60's and '70's... at LeMans? Did Greenwood ever FINISH, btw? First On Race Day, eh?

Now, granted, my countryman, Mr. Fellowes is pretty fast... but GEE, who OWNS Aston-Martin, and whose engine technology is it? :catroar:

I just did a simple search on "Iraq Oil Revenues." Three of the articles pointed out that oil revenues go into a fund controlled by the United States of America. The only real reason they need get a deal in place, it is so international business will feel confident in doing business with them and not partaking in the perception that the US is lining its pockets...

When they get their deal in place is none of the business of the US Congress although they could be making sure they get the fraud out at our end, but they're not. It's easier to fuck up the weak than to take on the strong.

What a crock of shit.

After the invasion , the US cancelled long term oil supply contracts that Iraq had with France and Germany being paid for in Euros.

The purpose was to restore oil sales in only US dollars which was enforced forthwith by the new occupation authority, such a move protecting the ailing strength of the US dollar at the time.

US Forces only protected the Oil Ministry in the sacking of Bagdhad which was a neat pointer to US interests in Iraq.

The reason little international oil revenue is possible is because the oil industry there and it workers are not ready to have Americans control their resources and would rather leave them in the ground till all is sorted and sovereignty is restored, i.e. America withdraws.

The Iraqis are perfectly capable of operating their oil industry for their interests and never needed the US Oil Baron led government to invade it for Israel's security policies and to cream off some easy oil contracts on the side... so they thought.... motherfuckers.

Thank God for the US stupidity in sacking Saddam's army who reappeared a few months later as the popular uprising against American occupation and have been kicking ass ever since. Great stuff, eh! They are of the same stuff as the US Colonial Army and you all revere their fight for a similar justice.

Yeah, well the 'intellectuals' are like marketing people. They see these staightforward and seemingly simple solutions and, generally speaking, don't have a fucking clue as to how to get there, the resources required, or the cost.

Ishmael

Geez, old fellah. Such self condemnation!!

With you being a self proclaimed super intelligent type, doesnt the above diatribe make you come over as a bit stupid from such a smartypants attitude.

I didn't say they weren't collecting money. It's how the Iraqi's share it among themselves. And if it already is in place, why is Bush saying it isn't? Is he just a liar or does he not know as much as you?

Of course, the real issue is that as long as US soldiers are over there dying, the US government has every right to be concerned about when they get their deal in place.

You cry about the Bush haters but truth be told you are far worse, sacrificing reason and truth to fit your anti-democratic/liberal agenda.

And zip seeks to simplify it as if the Democrats could move in and get it done overnight, but if we were to base that on the ability of their current leadership to get anything done, then zippy's protests are the ones which seem hollow and partisan.

Because they won the right to change the course and that meant obviously giving up on legislation in favor of endless charges, speculations, and investigations.

It's a big deal to have one guy, Warner, on the team, but meaningless that Leiberman left long ago and Hillary is in the process...

It's amazing that not having a point never ceases to slow down your ranting.

Why are all the US commanders saying we have to draw down forces by the Spring? Oh that's right, because our army is stretched too thin and is being worn out by this poorly thought out and executed conflict.

After years of making the wrong decisions, there really isn't much time left to achieve the benchmarks that democrats demanded Bush set. Then again, accountability isn't his strong suit, unless handing out medals to incompetents counts as accountability in your book.

Woods, you crack me up...

zip. I think they've reached a tentative deal on the oil. Where's the goalpost going to be moved to now?

None of this was an issue as long you had your civil war. When it evaporated, then this becomes an issue. When this proves to be much ado about nothing, what's the next play? We aren't distributing condoms to the schools?
