who will run in 2004?

I've heard plenty of good things about her, at least as far as charitable deeds are concerned, but very little on her leadership experience-Bush may not be totally incompetent (he still has to prove himself though) but at least he has some experience in public admin. Maybe it's just me, but ED has never struck me as anything more than a trophy wife.
Elizabeth Dole is no trophy wife. (The big hair might have fooled you!) She has far more government experience than Bush does. A lawyer, she was Reagan's secy of transportation, and secy of labor under Bush "the Elder", before becoming president of the American Red Cross, the worlds largest international relief organization. BTW, that's far from being a "charitable deed"; it's akin to being CEO of major corp.

Interesting fact: she started out as a dem.

that guy from North Carolina (sorry, hate to refer to a potential most powerful man on earth as 'that guy'),

John Edwards?

Also, when Cheney has the inevitable "big one" and Reps are casting about for VP, don't rule out Kay Bailey Hutchinson from Tx. and Jennifer Dunn from Washington.
