I'm sitting there this morning watching a video from a local sports station talking Patriots off season and I glance to the right at the sidebar and there's always an ad at the top. I did a doubletake and stared at this thing thinking I couldn't really be seeing it. I then clicked on the "see more" part and my malware went off like fireworks and I shut the browser down.

I wonder if someone got into YT or this is some weird virus I may have picked up from some porn site I visit-although the ones I browse are reputable. But whatever the reason, I was not expecting this on YT

Google is notorious for not moderating their ads very well on YouTube (or in their whole suite; many results on Google were ads pointing to malicious sites). There's always someone complaining about a video suddenly being interrupted with porn. It's not a common occurrence, but it's not the first time it happens. It's just happening less, but it seems it will never end.

I never encountered this because I've been using ad blockers since their dawn.

I would like to know more about the offerings over at Ryan's Repair. Like, does that come with an oil change, or...

42 minutes later the image has sadly been already yeeted by mods, so we can't see what it was.

Remind me of how to do that and I will.
  1. Upload the picture to a photo or file sharing site or service, e.g. Flickr, Photobucket, Dropbox, pCloud, Instagram. Make sure it's set to be visible to anyone, not just yourself or your contacts.
    1. Several of these (e.g. Dropbox, pCloud) have free accounts that can hold a largish number of photos.
  2. Get a link to the photo from your photo gallery.
  3. Post it here.

I know you won't be surprised but I don't have any of those. There used to be a way to do it here but that no longer works courtesy of one of their 'upgrades'

Actually it's courtesy of laws regulating online discourse. I hate the laws, but I do not blame Laurel for them. If they had nude imagery, they'd have to age-check us.

I mean there was a way to insert a link to a picture through the dashboard, it would just be a link but I don't think that works anymore.

I never post that type of pic so it didn't dawn on me.

I have no issue with the change they made, in fact I think it's funny because for years they really thought they were above the laws everyone else was adhering to and think they either got in trouble or felt it coming. As always, we'll never know.

I'm waiting for them to realize the am pic thread and other images of wives/GF and ex wives and GF being posted without their knowledge is going to seriously bite them in the ass at some point.
