So who is cooler, Sting or David Bowie? Both make (or made) good music, and both have had some rather good roles in movies. David Bowie had that cool ass role in Labyranth, and Sting was in Dune and Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels (among others), but who is the cooler out of the two? I can't decide, what do you think?

Sting

hands down although I do like Bowie.

I saw Sting in conert when I was 16, he was awsome!!!

Can somebody help me to my rocking chair?

Let me get my walker and I will be there to help you shortly ;)

ANTI-FAG STATEMENT

Well since David Bowie is a faggot, I would have to say Sting.

Bowie, of course.

Although I agree that Sting really rocked in Dune. That was such a cool movie... I love David Lynch.

He's the goblin king for christ sakes!

OMG Yes. Those tights he wears just makes me........

awww shit I am going through panties like mad today.

Ouch CB, that hurts, I feel almost as old as Nitelight and Juliangel now :).

And my vote for the coolest would have to be Davey Jones!

David Lynch is the winner. Have you seen his advert for Playstation 2?

No, have you seen Lost Highway? I like Lynch, but that movie lost even me. To give you some perspective, I understood Twin Peaks. :)

You know what...and excuse me for straying off topic ....but you have got to be the biggest jerk I've ever seen, now I realize that my opinion means squat to you or anyone else here for that matter but I just can't even stand to see your name anymore. I tryed giving you the benefit of the doubt , you are such an egotistical pompous ass. Do you really think being an EX cop earns you brownie points??? Please...it sickens me to think that you are riding on the coat-tails of real men with integrity! I'm sure you were a real asset to the force with your holier- than-thou, homophobic,back-street-whore bribing attitude.
20" guns....phhtt...I'm sure well developed arms are a result of jerking off, cause no decent woman would give you the time of day.

Ohhh and by the way ...the guy at the gym...he probably had to leave the room to make way for your ego.GRRRRR

now back on topic....
Didn't they used to date?
although I loved Bowie as the Goblin king...I have to go with sting....just cause.

I too understood Twin Peaks, but I've seen Lost Highway about 6 times and I still don't "understand" it. I have come to the conclusion that the point is that there doesn't always have to be a point... er... or... something like that :)

I haven't seen his ad for Playstation 2. I'll have to look for it.

Speaking of ads and the like, have you guys seen the MTV2 (UK version, I think) website? It's really cool! You should check it out.

Pssst SeXy, why don't you share that website with us so we can check it out? :)

David Bowie

one of the few artists that have "stuck" with me from my teen days till now - and I will cry the day I can't find a record player anymore to play his albums.

I am not sure how to define "cool", but for me he sure is the No. 1 choice between him and Sting.

Dowie or Sting

I gotta go for the Thin White Duke. I like both of their music, but Bowie is simply better. Besides I can't seem to get the whole rain forst fiasco/stigma out of my mind when I think of Sting.

I thought Sting was cool in Lock Stock, but I didn't like the Dune movie, cause I like the books too much and it wasn't true enough to the original for me.

I think I have to go with Bowie, that voice just does something...
