Why do older women never trim their pubic hair?

I dont know what his idea of older actually is.

I'm starting to wonder the same myself. Is he actually referring to old porn or older women??

On the contrary, I think Zor's point is well taken aside from his natural preceptions. I think the rest of you people just like to flame him for whatever reasons. Maybe his point of view is not open minded, or he doesn't say it as nice and polite as you wish. Get over it, he has much right as anyone else here to say what he feels and express themselves.

Ok back to the point, I think for the most part younger women are more open, and more willing to try new things. Generally older people are more conservative, and repressed depending on how they were raised and or how comfortable they are with their bodies. For the most part I believe these perceptions to be correct. Now I wouldn't call lit characteristic of most of the general population simply because alot of people would be ashamed and not open to appreciate this site.

That doesn't make it right nor wrong, generally however, for most people in the bible belt sexuality is a private issue only to be delt with your partner. Because of the openness and expression of younger generations, I feel tatoos, shaving, and piercing to be more widely accepted practices than those of later generations.

The point being that generally I think this is true, given the above arguements. Whether you agree or not is your opinion. Good, bad or ugly, we all have those that is what keeps all this interesting in the long run.

First, I would like to note that Zor has only returned once since he made this post. Now, how serious can we all really take this person? Besides, not all of us have "flamed" him - that is a generalization.

Second, I know this is your opinion, and all are entitled to them, but I still had to chuckle. I do not consider myself some sex-crazed nympho who is outside of mainstream America. I'm just your average 40-something female. And I am far, far more adventurous and open-minded to my sexuality than I ever was at any younger age.

Yes, there are probably women who get more uptight as they age. But I think, for the most part, women (at least those in their 30s, 40s, and 50s) develop more confidence and have a healthier attitude toward their own sexuality. And you might be very surprised at how many of us in our 40s are seriously considering, or have done, tatoos and piercings. It's not just a "young" thing, though we in our 40s may wish to keep those things private due to our professions.

I agree - generalizations can be a not so good thing.

shave?

I shave some of my pussy hair. I certainly don't shave it all off tho. The newer thongs and strings don't leave much to the imagination anymore..You can see thru most of my undies and my dark pussy hair is really easily seen. It, in my opinion, just looks neater thru my panties if I shave some of it. Definiately not bare all over. The sides and lips and some on the mons is enough for me. Love Lisa

OMG!! I nearly fell out of my chair laughing at this one!! :D
Sorry to dash your perceptions of us "older women" riddder; but I'm soon to be 43 and keep my pussy hairless. Not only do I like the feeling of being bare, but my new Sir is loving it too. HE also admires [or... would that be DESIRES??] me because I am very open and eagar to explore different sexual avenues. HE has told me that HE finds me so appealing because of how relaxed I am about sex and that I am very easy to talk to.
I dunno, maybe I don't fit into the pretty little box you think I should riddder. Anyway, life is far to short to worry about other's opinions!:p

Laugh all you want, but you are hardly mainstream. I am close to 40 myself, and most women I know can't talk about sex in front of strangers let alone fathom anything remotely risque. I am from Ohio, I grew up in a modest household, and here in the bible belt sex still is just that a taboo topic.

To most women, my sisters included anything off plain vanilla is taboo, this site would not discussed in bible study. Let alone at a dinner party. Maybe this is a regional issue, or country verses city. And from your vantage point perhaps that is quite normal for you. I live in a small town, and yes people still cheat of their wives. They still masturbate to stroke books, but as for being open about sexuality I scoff at your claims.

I respect your point, and your opinions are well taken. However, generally (I am calling older women people past the age of 50) most women of this generation and older would not shave, nor would they even consider it. Perhaps it is the rebellious nature of the teens, but I would suspect if someone could get some stats on this. I would guess that these ideas are more widely accepted among women under 20, than those over 50.

That said, I still think it is a valid question, and something which may need further discussion.

Now I dunno how much of being hairless or being hairy has to to with age. It's obvious that it's an individual choice whether it be for comfort, a lover's taste, or for rebellion. I think each person regardless of age has their own take on why they choose to do something. I think there are young conservative people as well as older conservative people; there are also some wilder young people as well as wilder older people. To place an age as to when a person quits being rebellious can be a stretch. There are many shades to the rainbow in this world & many wrinkles to the fabric too.

I am amazed that you think the majority of people over fifty are so afraid of trying new things. Perhaps you live in a small town or in a conservative area of the country. Most of my parents friends came of age in the seventies and are anything but afraid of new ideas. It has more to do with been there done that to death if anything.

I fail to see how personal preference is connected with the age of the individual. I am in my twenties and I do not like shaved pubic areas, tatoos or pierced body parts. I have nothing against anyone who has them. The majority of the people here were protesting not Zor's right to his opinion but rather his statement the older women are hairy and therefore unattractive.

It is quite a statement to make that the majority of women over fifty won't talk about sex. My mother and aunts are all in that age (over fifty) and are very open and honest about sex. Seems to me that you are making a lot of assumptions about a generation that led the sexual revolution. You make me laugh with your silly and just plain uninformed views.

Heavenly Body makes a really good point when we're talking about those "older folks". Theoretically they were the original hippies! Wanna talk about a bunch of non-conformists & rebels back in their day?? Granted it's another generalization on my part (to which I don't want to do)... not all folks in that era were hippies or radicals. Each generation/ age group has its own conservatives & freaks to which I say...

To each their own!

Well done Lust E.!! I think anytime you generalize, you are going to find those who don't quite fit into the the percieved idea.
I understand the riddder is from the bible belt of Ohio. But allow me to say that my mother is from south Georgia and she is anything but straight laced! Lol, I think my sister and I must get our rebellious natures form her. Btw, my sister is 54 and very crazy too!
Riddder, maybe its time for you to leave that small bit of Americana and get out and see the world! :p You know, give up the safety and security of all that you know and find out how the rest of the country lives before you place people into categories.
And riddder.............HAVE A NICE DAY!! :D

Thank you Lust E. for the welcome, and I'm glad to be back with all of you merry Lit-sters!

I started shaving my labia years ago, but leaving hair on the delta because (1) swimsuits must be worked around, and (2) I just hate having my husband suddenly stop what he's doing and pluck a hair off his tongue.

...as are guys that shave their privates

If I were to go by the amateur pics I've seen of guys in Literotica, I'd be going Whaaa---? It seems to me that guys shaving their privates is getting to be as common as women doing it. I'm not sure what to think about it. It makes them look kind of out there and vulnerable, like a Weimaraner. I really think I prefer guys au naturel.

Phew...damn glad I'm not hairy. I guess I don't look so odd when I shave the family jewels then. ;)

Lust E., I don't think you're odd at all, only uniquely abstract in a wonderful way; even with out seeing your "shaved bits.";)

MSK,

Get out and see the world, you are putting words in my mouth yet you don't know me. Just because I live in a small town doesn't mean I am old school. I have been to the red light district of amsterdam, and believe me you would be quite amazed what goes on there.

Your perceptions are personal opinions like mine, and are hardly generalizations. I could say of the 50 or so women I have ever dated in my whole life, only 1 shaved. Yet that isn't a real enough picture. It seems without some sort of proof, all of us are just blowing smoke up our asses.

So before I make any more generalizations I will do some research, I will enlist my college buddy who is a psychologist who personally consoles married couples, and has a client load of 400+ clients for a better window of this so called 40-50 age range vs say 20 somethings.

I may prove myself wrong, then I may prove otherwise. That isn't the point I am doing so. The point would be to instead flame other opinions, but to acknowledge them, and actually imagine that "you know what, perhaps everone isn't like me".

That said, I will be back with a full report.

Thanks for the nice day comment, g'day yourself madam

Mullet cuts, bellbottoms, parachute pants...Who sez they've gone away?

I was in CeCe's last night, and I saw a guy with a mullet; bell bottoms are now called "boot cut," and as for parachute material, the older women that are maligned by some on this thread favor parachute material warmup suits. When they go to their Weight Watchers meetings, the suits weigh next to nothing. (Not that I count myself among them--the only time I ever get on a scale is when they make me, at the doctor's.)

Why don't *some* men trim/shave their public hair?

The answer is the same for your question... Because they don't have to if they don't want to. Everyone has their own personal preference.

You know, just because you don't like it, doesn't mean that other people feel the same way as you do. There are actually men who have the opposite opinion than you have. It's after all a free world, so people are free to do as they want, even if you don't want them to. And what will you do, if you meet a woman who's just right for you, and she don't want to shave??

This is true. I've got a male friend, who according to him - the hairier the girl, the more he like it! I call him a sicko - coz i happen to like it shaved - or just a thin racing strip... but i do acknowledge - each to their own... (i use sicko in a very non-offensive stirring kind of way! Hey whatever rocks your boat i say!)

We shave it on request!? You want it off - its gone!

Because older women have men, therefore they either have sex, or they don't, and therefore have no need to attract a new man. Why dress yourself up if you're just having marital sex? Although I know I wouldn't think this way if I ever got married, alot of women do.

~CantSayNo~

I've never had so many BALD or TRIMED pussy before I turned 40

:D  :D

Why dress yourself up if you're just having marital sex?

Because even if you've been married for years and years and years, you still want to feel special. And married people who take their partners for granted are asking for trouble.
