Installment one-
First, I would like to point out when I am saying generally, I am saying that some do, but not that all do. Some of you are taking the word generally to mean all, and that is a generalization. Saying generally on the other hand simply means Popularly; widely or generally known. Or as a rule; usually; for the most part; without reference to particular instances or details, and not specifically. When I am using generally, I may not be speaking specifically for you, but for many others. In the other examples, you are pre-supposing that I am refering to you. That in itself is a generalization, and not how my comments were structured.
Please do not make generalizations about me, or your ideas about me. Your accusations of my supposed generalizations are no more founded than your ideas of your own personal opinions being generalizations or catagories based on your own known occurances. If one wants to look at this logically, we must throw out all personal opinion. Personal opinion can only lead to generalization, nobody here without any statiscal proof can ideally presuppose between actual statiscal fact, and just plain personal opinion.
That said, semantics alone are not enough to prove whether which is the most informed view.As I was looking for statistical proof, I came across many theories which could be used to prove my point. These social influences had a larger impact on society for later generations, because of the freedoms started in the late 60’s.
The anti-authoritarian and revolutionary movements of the late 1960s saw the reproductive suburban family along with its morality of self restraint, hard work and moral puritanism as an expression of class domination. Sexual freedom was tied to revolutionary outcomes. The so called "permissive" or "swinging sixties" has become a metaphor for contemporary social conflict.*-source(isis.aus.com)
Because of the steady increase in the sexual activity of teens since 1987, and the inclusion of loosening censorship laws bringing sexually explict images to viewers of a very young age. Sex is used to sell everything from cars to microwaves, sex is a prominent part of our lives unlike those of the early seventies or the time of my youth. I think what we are trying to bridge here is commonly known as the generation gap. -source( tlc.com)
The generation gap is just as diverse today, as it has been in the past. Although it might seem a truism that people of different ages will have different opinions, the researchers found that Catholics' opinions are closely linked to their position in three distinct groups, or birth cohorts: people who came of age before the Second Vatican Council of 1962-65; people coming of age about that time; and people born after Vatican II.

Many sources have given me similar answers, such as "In a nationwide study released in 1994 -- The Social Organization of Sexuality -- 21.1 percent of women ages 25 to 29 said they found giving oral sex 'very appealing,' but only 7.2 percent of women ages 50 to 54 said the same" (Rebecca Johnson, The New York Times Magazine, October 4, 1998).
While this statistic is unrelated to shaving, it is given as a basis for how different age groups percieve sexual issues. Gen X’ers agree that sexuality is a non issue for them. “Sexuality is a non-issue for my generation, much more so than for the older generation. Although prejudice and ignorance still exist, we've come a long way from the days when being locked in the closet was a necessity. It's a double-edged sword, of course, because increased visibility in pop culture also brings ridicule and people like Eminem.”

My next installment, will explore the affect of the media on our youth, and the openness younger generations express toward their sexuality.
