Will YOU be getting snowed in? Will you be writing? Exercising?

Little white bits of the sky are blowing furiously by at 15 miles an hour or more, soon to be piling high.

Im on the east coast so yeah, they're expecting the worst here. Got all the hatches battened down so to speak, and am hoping to utilize the time this weekend to finish my latest story.

Hoping everyone stays safe and warm.

Shoveling.
Cooking.
Maybe writing, after some stretching/mobility work to recover from shoveling.
A hot bath is sounding better & better, possibly with a mug of spiked hot chocolate.

1. Making sure my 750 word story is perfect. Praying that the demons of pending purgatory are asleep when I submit it next month.

2. Writing a couple of poetry pieces.

3. Doing laundry and household chores

4. Made some veggie chili in the Crock-Pot

5. Putting new batteries in the flashlights, alarm clocks, and portable radio

I did one round of shoveling. It'll probably need at least one more, but if I wait until it's done snowing it might break my back. There's already too much snow to easily find a place to put it: my wife warned me if I keep piling it against the backyard fence my dogs will soon be able to use it as a ramp to make their escape.

I literally just came in from clearing... well, ATTEMPTING to clear my walkway and driveway. But as you say, its a losing battle.

But its turning to sleet now and my. hope is by getting the bulk of the snow cleared now, they'll be less of a frozen icy mess to deal with later.

I measured the fall in my front yard, 10 inches. Higher in the drifts.

It's cold enough at my house that it's fluffy and light snow. That's the good news: the shoveling and snowblowing will be easy.

The bad news? It started snowing about three hours ago, there are already four inches, and it's not supposed to stop here until 8:00pm tomorrow night. More or less continuously.

I'm kicking back. I'll do my first pass in the morning, which'll be the lion's share of the storm. Then I'll finish up after the snow stops. Be safe everyone!

Seems like we're about an hour+ behind you for this storm. but similar. Hopefully it stays all snow. But it's all easy on me. We have a service that comes and clears our driveway (any snowfall over two inches). And my son earns his keep with things like shoveling the front walk.

I did not get stuck at work, but I wasn't sure I was going to have a parking space when I got home. Roads in MA are bad bad. I wasn't even sure I was going to make it home for driving purposes, kept sliding even at low speeds. A Prius is not a snow vehicle.

Glad you made it. I just did my first driveway pass; 35 minutes with the blower and I got things started so that tomorrow will be easier.

+1 on MA roads being shit tonight.

Broke an 86 year old record for the lowest High Temperature for the date.

Doubled the snowfall of an 87 year old record; old 2", new 4.6"

The side roads hadn't even been touched on my way home from work.

And the snow was already over the first step at the employee entrance to where I work. I know because I forgot that step existed because it looked flat. Oops.

Bonus of living in an apartment complex: They deal with the snow, lol.

My phone says we got 27" total. I'm not sure I believe it's quite that much, but I'll have to go out to see and, well, coffee first. No real point in doing the driveway until the street's a little better, too.

Stay snug, all!
