Only the single-target trolls. Someone who's trying to bomb the competition still has about equal work to find the scores of all parties and determine if another one-bomb is necessary. It would be having the scores and vote totals appear together on any public page that would be a troll's wet dream.

I wish there weren't trolls.
I always give the other entries fair votes.
I don't say 'ooh, if I give 'em a 3, that will hurt their feelers. And I will rule the world!' lol.

I've kept an eyeball on my score.. and it's bouncing up and down like strippers booty's go.. oh wait, thats a song.
It goes from 4.48-4.52, depending on the day, lol.
Oh, and whats weird is that my Halloween contest entry that did the best, is still going up and down! That was forever ago, lol.
(I hate when the score hovers around the H. One day its there, the next day its gone, lol.)

eta: I submitted a couple stories- not contest related- a couple days ago, and they still aren't up.
Maybe there is 'a line a mile behind ya!' (yay Rudolph, LOL) for the peoples to read for the contest. Hmm.

I've learned never to submit non-contest stories during a contest. The last two that I put in during a contest didn't post until mid-afternoon about five days later, losing more than 12 hours on the New list, and suffering horribly for it.

I submitted a non-contest story after the contest started, and it took the usual three to four days. It is in the Mature category, and has 62 votes already - more than some of my past contest entries have gotten.

I know there's nearly two weeks to go until entries close, but there appear to be fewer entries than the last themed contest.

Not only are there less entries oggman, there are less entries from the FAVORITE AUTHORS. I could only find one of the TOP 100 this morning with entries in the LITEROTICA side of the competition – thank god for the BarondeSade!

We’re doing a little better on the A.I.R. side – we’ve already got fourteen entries from FAVORITES. But we still have a long way to go …

FYI The boss is working hard to complete his entry – it’s the tale of a sweet young girl who has fallen under the influence of an evil foreigner. Can her father cure her? Or will her brother have to be pressed into duty? And what about the doctor from India?​

On another note, I noticed that he who shall not be named deleted my name from the top list he posted. I'm six places behind the other one who shall not be named. I wonder who else he deleted from the list. Don't you just love it when he has to do extra work to sooth his ego.

It's nice to be ignored sometimes. However, "Snowed In" had accrued 111 votes. That's amazing! Admittedly the score is but barely above 4 but I'm not complaining. The two comments both complain that I rushed to the completion too quickly and that's a fair assessment. I deleted the illiterate goob who complained that "people don't really talk that way." Apparently he does not run in a circle where irony is appreciated! The Hell people don't. Shoot, even bears do on occasion.

Average of 3.97, Median of 4.06. If we remove the curve-throwing lowest score, it's Avg 4.03, Med 4.07.

40 stories currently. I've observed a few very small sweeps already on a couple of stories. ( 1 and 2 votes )

Now to see if maybe I can get my own story moving

I actually got a vote swept on mine and my score went up a point...that was last night I think.

There will always be sweeps I miss, because the way I determine that is "Are there fewer votes today than I saw yesterday?"

You can see it a lot easier on your own stats than I can grabbing them from toplists. By the time the list updates again, you may have gained two votes, and all I'll see is that you gained one ( two new ones minus the one swept )

Ugh... don't know if I feel like writing tonight. I haven't even got a clear mental picture of my female protagonist yet, and I really need to nail that down.

Oh well... I saved up a bunch of time off all year and I'll only be working 5 days in a week once between now and the second week of January *laugh* 4 days most of the time, 3 days a couple of times, and 0 days the first week of next year. I should have some time to get back in the groove.

Actually, if they're in the same pen name, getting your name on the top of the New list with another contest story may very well revitalize the older story and increase the views/votes on it. If people like the second one, there's a good chance that they'll look through your list for others to read.

BTW: You need to fix all of the links in your sig except for the one to your contest story, they're all broken.

I've been inspired to write more, so Chapter 11 of my Shelacta Tales has been submitted today.

It'll be interesting to see how long it takes to post, having been submitted during a contest.

It might. It has for me. It doesn't seem to work for the third.

What I have had is a few more votes and a couple of PCs on some of my old stories.

Posting a new story attracts attention. Posting a contest story gets MORE attention.

Unfortunately some of the attention may be unwelcome. I've had advertising spam as PCs on my stories, and more spam to my email account.
