Re: about typos....

I have a revised version of The Little Candle Girl in the works. Lots of little problems as this was written in 3 hours in the white heat of inspiration. The new one is MUCH better, should be appearing in a day or two.

Sack:)

Can't wait to read it Sack, I really enjoyed the first one!

I more or less ignore other people's typos, but my own drive me insane. must be perfect must be perfect.....

Okay, off to bed for real this time.

I don't!!

your.. you're..... piss me off to no end.

It seems mostly a yankee thing.

It distracts from a good read. Editor me kicks in.

I never let it distract from my vote if i make it all the way through a story, but it's distracing.

your = yours.. ownership

you're... abbreviated version of 'you are'

Okay, my pet peeve lol

I'll kick your rat ass later.

Logo & Sack,

I'd appreciate both of you giving a "heads-up" when your revisions are posted.
Thank you Rumple for reading my story and leaving me such positive feedback...
Carson, as I said in my PC, your writing earned that feedback.

Rumple Foreskin

VB,

Can't say I've torn into, Jingling in the Wind, but it sounds like a keeper. I thought you might like that Carter Brown epic.

I think I need to ask The Question.

Ch.02. of Christmas Fairy is still awaiting approval.

I have reached 7,000 words on the 5th entry, provisional title 'Raffle Prize'.

I don't think the 6th entry will be finished in time. Maybe next year. Of course I have to write the continuation of last year's 'Socks for Christmas'.

And my speech for The Wedding which is more important than any Lit story. That starts "Bonjour Mesdames et Messieurs, Hola Todos, Oops, wrong speech..."

Hey, does anyone know if Lusty Lovers ever submitted part two of their Holiday Story? Part one was a fun read and I'd love to finish it up!

not yet, Logo..

I emailed them, but no reply yet. Will let you know if I hear anything!

From my research in the dead thread department, I have the best Answer to your Question right here.

It doesn't fullfil Gauchecritic's desire for the PERFECT Q&A, but it comes close.

In a former life, I think I was a librarian.

my revised version of The Little Candle Girl...

was posted today. Just a few minor changes from the original to improve readability. Let me know if it flows better this time around...PC's welcome if you've already voted on the other one!

Sack:)

When's the last time ...

... Laurel swept bombs? Seems like it's been quite a while.

I've had 4 edited stories/poems "pending" for quite a while, too.

Hope all is well with Laurel & Manu!

Mm...I prefer a "hands-on" experience, myself. :)

B-b-but.. the nasty vixen was gonna use her foot!!

That'd send a mouse flying in to orbit!!

Help me form a vigilante to get her ;)

:p

Oh. In that case, don't worry. Foxes don't have legs that can kick very well. ;) Just stay out from behind her, and you'll do fine.

Phew!

I have just submitted my last entry for this year's contest.

'Raffle Prize' is 11,000+ words, 33 A4 pages long, probably about 4 Lit pages.

I suggested it should be in the Mature category. It might be better in another one because it includes some mild bondage.

That's it for this year. The Goddess Brigit is rearranging Christmas. Her story will have to wait beyond the end of the competition.

Now, or probably tomorrow, I can get down to the enjoyable task of reading everyone else's entries.

I think they use a bomb Zamboni and it takes a while to get back to where they started.

whew!

I think I'm out of it with just the submission of one story in the contest, A Very Peronal Christmas Gift , but it's been a real joy to have such great feedback, meeting some great authors along the way and reading some really nice stories as I have time.

I have another one pending, but not for the contest, and I couldn't quite decide what category to place it in. "Non-Erotic" seemed best, since the part that was *going* to be erotic never quite got off the ground! LOL If it appears, ever, it's called "A Tail of Onions."

I have a question that may be kind of dumb. I noticed a typo in my contest story submission. ("Fist" should be "first." Damn spell-check!) Is it kosher to re-submit the story with the typo edited out? I hate to risk it ending up with two or three typos, just to correct the one I found...

Anybody that knows their way around a bit better is welcome to PM me, I have pressing duties weighing on my board-browsing time. (thanks)

OK... I like all these stories, man! I hope to meet all the rest of you as I have time. I'm a bit slow, I think...

Hi Foehn!

This is what I said earlier in this thread, when a similar question was asked:

Resubmit the story by copy and pasting the new version with the corrected word(s) into the form. In the "Title" field, after the title put the word "Edited". Then, in the authors notes field, again state that it is a holiday comp story, and it is an edited version of one earlier submitted.

All the best with your entry!

Hi & welcome, foehn.

I've been reading some of your poetry, and I've found it ... well ... impressive

I'm off to check out your story ...

Thanks Sack! Hope they finished it and it's just one of the stories sitting in the Pending Pile. I don't want to have to wait until next year to know how it ends!

Edited to say: I just read that your newly edited version is up. I'm off to read it now. My edit for Christmas Pictures isn't up yet.

Oh, can I vote on the new version if I voted on the other one?

OK, I think I might be getting bombed. My story just keeps dropping. I know it's entirely possible that I'm just getting lots of fours, but my score is down to 4.39. My lowest score ever!

Hmmm, I think I'm going to go take a shower and have some cocoa.
