Chubbies Theme Park?

awww.
There is always Chubbies. :) Better than Disneyland.

Chubbies? This is a new theme park in the Dells?
Do they have Mickey and Minnie?
And of course the Tea cup ride. Must ride the tea cups...

Milwaukee here checking in after lurking the thread for forever. Comparing Chubbies to Disneyland, and a little push from a regular encouraged me to step up and own my state.

For reference, Milwaukee politics are NOT MY FAULT.

We don't believe you about the politics thing. Any newbie gets blamed.

Who is the regular we have to blame?

Grins.

Welcome to the thread.

hmmm Chubbies is a strip club in the Dells, fantastic strip club.
The only "ride" is a lap dance. ;)

Chubbies

I have wandered through the Dells a few times and never have I seen this Chubbies Amusement park.

They have a lap dance ride?

How tall must one be to ride this lap dance?

...Begging pardon - but is there a particular flag or symbol to use to designate a tongue in cheek response? I have seen the sign for "Crusin' Chubbies" many times, and Joyisyummi response struck me funny. Sadly, it seems the whole language barrier thing has once again made it impossible to articulately express my sense of humor. This is probably the result of not being a native speaker, having been in WI for only 10 years... I still can barely keep track of which N/S freeway in Milwaukee is 41, 43 or 45. Ah well...

Perhaps I can coin the astrix quote as a way to designate an ironic or hyperbolic content. As is *I will slink back to lurking now to hide my shame...*

Give's the term "keep your hands inside the ride at all times" a whole new meaning.

isn't there a cluster of road signs on 894 where it indicates you're going south, west, and east all at the same time? or something like that...

Hmm... I've been looking for a place to blow some quick cash...

LOL. Probably not that much cash, tho. I'm too cheap for strip clubs. :p

Lol. If my cash buys me an equal amount of nudity as it would at the strip club, I'm tempted to go for it. But you're worth WAY more than I could afford ;)

Where in Cali you headed? I've only ever been once, and I found it a vastly underwhelming experience, but I tend to blame that on the company.

*blush* why thank you Xerxes :)

The Walnut Creek area not sure when though.

The Walnut Creek area not sure when though.

A good friend went to San Fran a few years ago, and he loved it.
I have never been there, but some of the beaches in CA are fantastic, and the orange groves in southern CA were beautiful, and smelled so good while we drove through.
I also love the fact that you can walk across the border into Mexico in Tijuana.
(This was years ago, not sure if it is still like that.)
Not so easy to get back in the US after a day of debauchery.
Had co convince my very drunk friend that it wasn't a good idea to get a tattoo in Tijuana.

California

Walnut Creek?

Isn't that where Laura Ingalls Wilder grew up? *Someone may be selling you a bill of goods if they said they were taking you to California - you better read the fine print on that tour.* Maybe that was Walnut Grove...

I like Northern California better than south, but both have their moments.

I have spent a fair amount of time N of SF in the Redwoods, and Point Reys Nat'l seashore area. Water is cold, but still worth it for those of us from the mid country. Have ridden the coast Road, (Old Hwy 1), from Portland down to SF, and seen some of it in Monterey and Malibu areas. Beautiful country, great riding. Too bad there are so many states like Kansas, Nebraska and Nevada between here and there. I am jealous...

oh god, hwy 1. some years back my wife and i flew into vegas and drove up to tahoe. sort of a long drive, but worth it. we get up the next day and she decides she wants to go for a drive around the lake. it takes about five hours, so two days of brutality in the vehicle. the next day she decided she wanted to see the ocean. i told her to eat a little salt and go look at the pool. however, she is not a woman of remarkable wit. so, into the vehicle and drive from tahoe to the ocean. except we get to point reyes and hwy 1, and no ocean. so in her infinite wisdom she figures we could drive down to san francisco along hwy 1 and see the ocean along the way. so we're driving along this windy road and she's getting progressively more carsick as we go. we finally get to a vista where we could see the ocean and we were like 500 feet up on this cliff, and she states she's too sick to look.

so, we get to san francisco and it's rush hour. now on top of carsick the exhaust fumes are making her real sick. we get out of the city, through sacremento, and as we get to the foothills of the sierra mountains: blizzard. the california DOT wasn't going to let us up because we didn't have chains, but we prevailed and they begrudgingly let us go. so, going about ten mph up this mountain, and finally get back to the hotel at like 2:00 am. so i'm thinking i'm going to have a nice relaxing day the next day shooting craps (odds on the come line and hop the hard eight...) and i get up, and blizzard warning for tahoe that was so bad we would have been stranded there. so, back to vegas and we didn't have a hotel and weren't leaving for a few days, so we ended up in the convention inn, well off the strip. if i wanted to gamble i had to drive to the casinos. more driving. suffice it to say i had callouses on my ass and didn't get to see a heck of a lot of scenery during that trip.

that was also the trip when i got my $2000.00 toothpick holder...

apparently i, as a wisconsinite, was not sophisticated enough to enjoy my time out in the beautiful western united states

Road Hell

The first time I traveled west was in a car with a girl friend and a guy we knew, who seemed like a good way to share the cost of gas. We had a 20 year old Plymouth Catalina with about a 458 v8. At least 6 cyl actually ran.

On the way, we found out that our friend Jay (his real name, may he suffer in hell) had an encyclopedic knowledge of Pink Floyd album cover trivia. Not good.

We stopped in Reno and got a room, learning only later that its cheaper on teh strip. Before we went to sleep we gave Jay only 1 instruction "DO NOT BRING BACK ANY GIRLS."

When we woke up, he had located a nice young lady who kept asking if we were holding. He agreed she could come with to CA, and said we would pick her up after work. We didn't.

We too went around the lake, and I learned what fear was when I realized both ends of the car hung over the edge of the road on half the curves, and she needed to score because Jay had all of her drugs ad WOULD NOT SHUT UP.

LONG drive through the night, and into the valley where temps quickly soared to about 125 as we tried to crawl into SF to "see the bridge" before turning north to the airport where Jay missed his flight back to Reno to meet up with his new friend, and we wisely decided it would help him build character if we left him there on his own. So we did.

Fortunately, that was before cell phones, so aside from one message that he missed his plane that we got the next morning when we called home, we just pretended not to know.

The REST of the trip was wonderful, even though those massive fenders were hung out over the ocean for most to the trip, and I was never sure how the tries stayed on the road.

Motorcycle MUCH better.

I have no tales of road trips out west. I slept through the Black Hills. I was 13. Gimme a break. I was bored out of my freaking mind.

I do have to report that I was asked to investigate the price of bulk condoms.

Everyone will be happy to know that a case of 48 condoms is $9.99. (Is that cheap? I haven't bought a condom in awhile. When I did buy condoms, I didn't care about the price, I was just happy I was getting laid.)

New Contest - Cheap Condoms

OK - lets be neighborly and share where we can get the cheapest condoms in WI.

Wait a sec... Do we WANT the cheapest condoms?

Oh well - we can still help with research.

We can call ourselves something catchy, like "The Pump Patrol..."

Are you sure you were in the right aisle? Those sound like water balloons instead of condoms.
Just sayin' :p

They said condoms on the box. So those are cheap then? Er, inexpensive, one doesn't want cheap condoms. One gets to pay child support with cheap condoms.

Shall I get you a box or three Josiyummi?

Did you want to have a water balloon fight?
Could be fun.
