Wish for Something Better (closed)

She listened to him, and watched as he stuffed his mouth. She giggled softly and looked at him. "Id like to see this Raiders of the Lost Ark movie" She took some of the popcorn and ate it. Enjoying the contact against a man who was as sweet as he was, it really was something else. She rested her arm onto his shoulder and watched the movie, ate popcorn. It was magical to her, that was something coming from a genie after all.

Sam just tried to keep his mind on the movie. Emily's easy-going demeanor ironically just made him feel that much more self-conscious. It was frustrating that he couldn't seem to just get over himself and act like a normal human being. He eventually came to the conclusion that he wouldn't stop feeling awkward until he pushed himself out of his comfort zone. He spared a glance at Emily and finally decided to bit the bullet. He put his arm around her shoulders and leaned his head against hers.

It was a wonderful feeling really, to be against someone. But then she smiled even more, feeling his arm going around her. His head against her own, it felt amazing. To have compassion was a feeling she had never felt towards her. It was hard sometimes to figure out certain things. But she enjoyed the cuddle, and the movie with the popcorn. She didn't really pay much attention but she rested her hand against his chest, as her eyes were paying close attention to the movie.

The flashback sequence of the pirate ship battle came on and Sam couldn't help leaning in a little bit. It was one of his favorite scenes and the action was unbelievably well done. By the time the scene was over, he leaned back into the couch with a boyish grin on his face. He hadn't remembered even feeling like this when he saw the movie in the theater. Things just seemed more... impressive suddenly. He felt like he was being roused from a deep sleep and finally waking up to the world around him.

she smiled feeling how his body language changed, she found herself laughing at some stupid things that were really funny. Guess people put stupid things in movies to make you laugh, Sam seemed to change. She could sense he wasn't use to it, perhaps she had something to do with it? Since honestly she certainly didn't put a spell over him.

The movie finally came to an end and Sam sat quietly through the credits. His brother was a filmmaker, so he had developed the habit of watching the credits as a gesture of respect. He took the remote from the coffee table and turned off the player and the TV. "Time to turn in, I think." He stood up and stretched out with a groan. He went to the bedroom, turning off the lights as he went.

The bed was a double as he tended to toss and turn in his sleep a bit. He climbed in under the sheets and flipped them over on the other side, inviting Emily. He still a bit anxious about sharing a bed with a beautiful woman for the first time in a long time, but he would be a gentleman about it.

Emily was very happy right now, it was so great that everything was as it should be. So as he said it was time for bed, she nodded happily and got up. Following him in the bedroom, seeing him turning out the lights and got in bed. Watching how he invited her to the bed, she pulled her long hair in a pony tail before getting into bed. So she crawled on the bed under the sheets, and stretched. Felt good to be on a bed, she wanted to be held. She valued his friendly touched, and desperately wanted him to cuddle up with her. Because she felt safe in his arms, but covering herself with the sheets. She rolled on her side, so her back was facing him. And closed her eyes, wishing he would hold her. And of course a genie could wish, though there wishes never came true. Unless the master at the time wished it to, so she sighed softly.

"Goodnight Sammy"

She said happily.

Sam hesitated a moment. Should he? He debated it for a moment and came to a conclusion. He had made a commitment to step outside of his comfort zone and get over his nerves and anxiety. If he took no chances, he'd just beat himself up over it later. He cautiously reached an arm over and wrapped it around Emily's waist. His heart beat got a little faster and he had to take a deep breath in to steady it. His doubts had gotten so powerful during his long doldrums that they still insisted on fighting him every step of the way. He wouldn't be ruled by this. He opened his eyes to look at Emily's figure and waited to see how she would react.

Her eyes had been closed, and then before she knew it she felt an arm around her waist. She cuddled against him, placing her hand on his that was on her stomach. She didn't even think about it, she threaded her fingers into his. As she sighed happily, she was so willing to do anything for Sam that much she knew. But it was very noticeable, that she enjoyed his touch, very willing.

Sam smiled a little at her reaction. He pulled her in closer and sank a little deeper into the mattress. He drifted off to sleep without much trouble, unlike he usually did. Perhaps the tossing and turning was his way of seeking out something... or someone who wasn't there. Either way, he slept peacefully that night.

When he awoke, he and Emily must have moved around a little in their sleep because he was laying on his back and she had her head on his chest. He made no move to wake her. He just continued to lay back and soak in that tranquil morning atmosphere.

It was an amazing sleep that she had, she hadn't slept like this in hundreds of years. Or perhaps never. She didn't know if she ever slept this good in her life, though what life. She was a damn genie but something about Sam made her not really care, she started to stir a bit and slowly opened up her eyes. And noticed how she was sleeping on him, slowly picking up her head she smiled.

"Morning..."

"Good morning." Sam didn't bother to get up. He was comfortable right where he was. He just continued to lay still as his fingertips lazily traced circles on Emily's back. He felt an odd sense of confidence. His nerves and doubts had proven unfounded so far. He felt like he did back in college every time he completed a class and was one step closer to the degree he had aspired toward. True, things after graduation had resulted in his rut, but he was starting to suspect that was because he had reached his goal and didn't have a new one to shoot for.

Thoughts went through his head and a plan started to take shape. He decided to be daring and try something. "Is it too early in the morning to make a wish?" he asked Emily. "Because I have something in mind you might like."

Emily looked at him, and when he asked if it was to early to make a wish. He was a strange human, but she really liked him. Shaking her head she smiled at him, wondering what it was he had in mind. She wished she was a mind reader, but honestly she wasn't one. She just read body language, unfortunately however she couldn't read him right now. She had never had a master like him, he was very unique and she was very grateful to him.

"No Sammy it's not to early to make a wish, you can make a wish at two in the morning if you wanted to. Though I have to admit, I hope your my only master I have. Because you are very unique, you can do what ever you want to me. But you let me sleep beside you, in a real bed. That means something to me, so what is this wish that you have in mind?" Her soft smile could be seen easily.

A joke sprang to his mind and he was surprised to find himself saying it out loud. "Do anything I want to you? Careful, I might take you up on that." He punctuated it with a smile and a wink. Since when was he flirty? Oh well, it was out there and he didn't regret it.

He pictured the wish in his head. He recalled the research he had done last night. "I wish that when I open my eyes..." He closed them before going on. "...the two of us will be lying in bed just like this in the most luxurious suite in the most expensive hotel on the island of Capri with all of our board and expenses paid and all the necessary packing done for us to stay there for a week." He waited a moment and a smile of anticipation crawled up his lips before he opened his eyes again.

She listened to his wish very carefully, and snapped her fingers. They were where he wanted to be, in a beautiful hotel that had a beautiful view. All the clothing that was necessary was all taken care of. The bed they were in had beautiful lepard print pillows, and the sheets were silk and gold color, same with the comforter. The room was the cross between tan and yellow. The carpet was also very tan. There was one chair that had a hasic. Then there was a small table with fresh fruit and two velvet chairs.

On the table was food of all sorts, everything from eggs, pancakes and even muffins of all kinds. The room was beautiful, one of the most expensive hotel rooms in the world. Looking at the smile on his face. She chuckled some and placed her hand against his cheek. "You can open up your eyes now Sammy" She said happily.

Sam looked around in awe. A soft laugh shook his chest as he took in the scene. He felt the warm Mediterranean spring air wafting in through the open doors to the balcony and marveled at the change. "Perfect." He flopped back onto the bed, enjoying the feeling of the mattress and the soft sheets.

He took Emily's hand and kissed it. "Starting today, the two of us are going to see the world." Yes, he had said that once already the day before. But it just felt good to say it again. On a whim, he lifted his head up to Emily and kissed her cheek. "For once I'm going to see to it you enjoy using those powers."

Listing to him she was very happy that he was so pleased, and enjoyed the feel of his lips against her cheek. Looking at him, she already enjoyed being what she was because of him. She stroked his cheek with a soft gentle touch, and kissed his forehead. Watching him just relax back, she did the same. Following what he did really, so she didn't stick out like a sore thumb. Resting her head against him, her hand on his stomach. Feeling and smelling the scent that this wonderful place had, the air was so pure here it was amazing.

Perhaps it was the sudden rush of excitement. Maybe it was his newfound feeling of boldness. Or maybe it was just something he wanted to do and he had decided to stop kidding himself. Sam propped himself up once more, cupped Emily's cheek and smiled at her. He lowered his head slowly and brushed his lips against hers. It was barely more than the ghost of a kiss. He just lingered and waited for her reaction.

She watched Sam with a curious look on her face, but then watching as he lightly kissed her. At first she didn't know how to react, but as his kiss lingered. She closed her eyes and kissed him back, it felt right to kiss him. That much she knew, reaching up to his cheek. She pretty much showed that it was alright, that she enjoyed it.

Sam slowly pulled back. He opened his eyes and smiled at Emily. He brushed the hair from her face and wondered what it was he had been afraid of in the first place. He felt like for the first time in a long time he was actually awake. "Do you want to go out and get something to eat? It's about noon over here. Or would you prefer to stay in just a bit longer?"

She smiled up at him, he seemed so different and didn't know what it was that changed. Since she didn't know how very well to start with, but right now she knew he was beyond happy. It was very nice to see really, right now she sighed happily and thought for a moment. "We can go out if you like, I don't mind" She said. Slowly sitting up in bed, she stretched a bit and covered her mouth as she yawned in her hand.
