Word counts displayed!

I like that the tags are buttons to the tag search portal. It's probably never likely to be a hugely impactful convenience feature, but it may be a slightly more helpful way of finding similar stories than the ones the site suggests by algorithm, which probably takes multiple factors into account, when all you really want at the moment is more, say, CFNF stories.
The tags on every story are clickable links, both at the top and bottom of the story.

Good point.

I suspect the site's tag-search features are highly under-used features which, if made more accessible, could add value to the reader experience, and help us authors in connecting with the right readers.
The real under-use of tags is by the people posting stories. Many don't bother to add any, others use unique ones that return just that one story, or only use one or two basic ones, with the one often being the category name.

Yes, I know they were already links, I was just mentioning that I'm pleased that I can see them and use on the cards in the hub now. Have been for a while, but I figured it was worth pointing it out since a fair few people on this thread didn't know about the expanded cards, so they might not know about the links either.

And I agree, it would be nice if tagging was more popular and robust. I'm sure I miss out on some good stories, but I rarely read untagged ones these days unless the title and blurb seem compelling. Sadly, those are frequently vague and always too short to say much.

My favorites are the one where it's a person's name. Like "Susan." How is that a useful tag?

"God, I wish I could find more stories about people named Susan. It's the only thing that gets my juices flowing."

I stand corrected.

As a niche reader, I find almost all my stories through tags. It pains me to think how many I miss because somebody doesn't use them. You get up to 10. Use them.

I can vaguely imagine that some people like to read about characters who have the same name as they do, or they know someone in real life with a certain name and like to fantasize about them. That being said, it's still a pretty poor tag choice.

Do a regular search with the name as the only keyword and you'll get them all.

When I needed to know how many stories were on Literotica for a discussion on average daily new stories, I did a search for the word "the" to get it.

Although most stories contain the word "the," some might not. You can get a slightly more accurate count of the total number of stories by searching for " " (a single space) or "." (a single period).

While I can't imagine a story without "the" in it, I didn't think of searching for either of those as many search engines don't include them properly. Not here, but when I tried searching for S.A.M.S. recently, almost everything I got back was about Sam's Club.

Oh, what a plot bunny that is:

On this cold, cloudy day it was about to rain across our city, and in my chair a classy broad sat, filing long nails.

'Good morning, Sam. Got a job for a girl?'

My dick got long and hard just from that snarling invitation.

[and so forth]
