Either "testes", (singular is "testis") or "gonads" although that latter one just means an organ or gland where gametes are produced so women also usually have gonads. The sack containing the balls is the scrotum.

thanks boxlicker, those were the words I was thinking of- testicles (or testes) gonads and scrotum. Yes, I realize that the testicles are the 'balls' and the scrotum is the 'sack' but for all intents and purposes, it fefers to the same location.
