World War II: Behind Enemy Lines - (IC)

Iska

So they did have guards to consider, but at least the one on the roof would be no problem, taken out at the first chance by the angel watching over them. Hopefully she wasn't a false one, and had a good aim. The Russians knew the Americans had some crack shots, but they also knew that most Americans lacked discipline, unlike the Red Army snipers. But now was not the time to doubt, as far as Iska was concerned, that bullet would fly straight and true.

Looking up towards the tower, Iska watched as Salima disappeared out of her line of sight. But waved her hand quickly indicating for Michaela to keep an eye on her. If anything, it was that woman who needed the protection right now. Not them. As they continued to hide behind the wall in silence.

So far nobody had left the building. They waited. Hoping that soon the town would be distracted by chaos and confusion created by their Moroccan muse. Iska smiled at her thoughts, it was always good to think of someone causing such a distraction as a source for inspiration. And if that woman would blow up the fuel depot, then Iska, and her men could kill a few dozen Germans.

They didn't know that many of those Germans were SS and a sprinkling of Gestapo yet though.

Salima Mimoun

Salima finally reached the tower and looked around. She prepared the package, as she had been shown. Salima didn't take the time to take her long gloves out, she would manage. She sat fire to it and turned around and ran, as she had been told. Her high-heeled boots were the latest fashion, but not made for running, especially on the snow in a rural french town with bad roads. Just as she heard the deafening boom, feeling the sudden, intense heat and the blast from the back, she tripped and feel down. She managed to push her arms forward and keep her head up, but she dropped right on her big bosom and nearly passed out from the sudden pain. But she was lucky to fall, as same fragments flew through the air and a bit chunk of metal hit into the wall where here had had been seconds before.

Raphael Gurber

The explosion rocked the small building and he instinctively covered his face from flying glass, he rushed to his door and found that most of the guards and troops were streaming into the main building,

"What on earth are you doing? Private Stohm, call Obersturmführer Lande, let him take ten men and investigate, don't hang around here like a group of punks. You are SS for crying out loud."

Names were called out while the rest of the soldiers got ready to meet any attack from the outside,

"You, Private Kehl, cover the entrance leading to the back door,"

he noticed some of the soldiers still hanging around.

"MOVE GODAMIT! OR MUST I SHOOT EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU PIGS?"

Moments later the defense was secured and he shook his head at the sheer incompetence of the Gestapo, they may be Police, but they could not be a pure soldier for one second. He moved to his office to fetch his SMG, the only way that there could come an attack, was when the attackers came through the windows.

William waited, then heard another voice reply a few moments later, "Thunder."

William sighed in relief as the counter reply was given. They all had been told that they could identify fellow American by using those two phrases. An American soldier emerged from the treeline and quickly walked towards them, "Boy I`m glad to see you guys. Names Richard Anderson, Private 1st Class."

Thomas smiled, "Richard you survived. I thought you had died in the plane."

Williams nodded and explained their situation to Richard.

"Let`s go. We`ve got to get moving." said William.

Aleksandra Shanina

Aleksandra slowly limped through the dark woods. She had stopped the bleeding on her calf by pressing a few leaves on the wound. While limping through the woods she heard male voices. She recognized that they were speaking in English. Knowing they were Allies, she followed these voices in hopes of getting medical assistance to her calf.

After limping for ten minutes she could see them. They were wearing camoflauged American military uniforms with green helmets. She knew she would not be able to speak loud enough for them to hear her voice. She frantically limped in their direction in hopes of catching up to them.

When she was five yards away from them she decided to speak up.

"Help", she said in a soft, timid voice.

William and the rest of his men quietly walked through the woods. Not much happened. All was silent except for night noises. Suddenly he thought he heard a voice in the distance. He raised a clenched fist in the air and crouched down.

He aimed his rifle in the direction that he heard the voice come from. Was it another fellow American? Or a German?

William looked at his men to make sure they were prepared, then he turned his attention back to where the voice had come from. "Flash."

Aleksandra Shanina

Aleksandra Shanina saw the men turn around with their rifles raised. They had not seen her but they had heard her voice.

"Flash", one man said. He was looking in her direction but he had not seen her.

Aleksandra finally replied back, "Here."

Wrong answer, Lipton thought. He aimed his weapons at the direction of the voice and could now see a person. William fired a warning shot at the ground near the person. Then, in a raised voice, called out at the stranger, "Drop your weapon then walk towards us with your hands in the air or I will shoot you!"

Aleksandra Shanina

Aleksandra saw the man's face tense up after she replied back. The man shot the groud and said, "Drop your weapon then walk towards us with your hands in the air or I will shoot you!"

Aleksandra was surprised by the mans hositility. She started to sweat.

For a brief second Aleksandra considered running away. This thought vanished after she realized he had his eyes on her. Aleksandra steadily placed her sniper rifle and the knife which she had taken from the German soldier on the ground. Careful not to make any sudden movements she put both hands in the air and slowly walked toward the group.

Narrator: Thomas Nixon

Thomas watched as the stranger approached. When he saw that it was neither a German nor an American, but a Russian, he instantly became suspicious. "What the hell are the Russians doing here Lieutenant?"

William shook his head, "Don`t now Corporal."

Thomas looked at the Russian and asked, "What the you doing here commie? This is an American operation. Your kind should be fighting the Germans on the Easten Front. And why are you following us?"

Aleksandra Shanina
Aleksandra, still sweating slowly walked to the group. She heard another man say something. She did not understand much of what he said but she could make out a swear word.

The skinnier man whispered something to the soldier that she could not make out. The soldier then said, "What the you doing here commie? This is an American operation. Your kind should be fighting the Germans on the Easten Front. And why are you following us?"

Aleksandra waited a brief moment and said, "We were sent here in order to assist the French Resistance. My unit was wiped out. I am injured and need some medical assistance."

William nodded at her comment. "Well I don`t know who you are but I can tell your in need of medical help Sadly our medic died and none of us have any expertise in that field. You can travel with us until we do find you some help. If you don`t want to, that`s fine as well."

Thomas looked at him in surprise, "You can`t be fucking serious lieutenant! Your allow this commie to follow us around! Just look at her uniform, what the hell of a type of uniform is that! Pathetic I say! Not to mention that she`s probably useless in combat!"

"Quiet Corporal." replied Williams. He looked back at the Russian, "You can get you weapons back if you want. You might need them later."

"Have you lost you mind!" said Thomas in a raised voice.

"Corporal!" replied Williams.

Iska

The explosion was quite a distraction. Covering the door to the building that Iska planned on entering through in case soldiers rushed out of it, they soon decided not to waste a second of precious time, and jumped the wall.

Soon they reached the building, and within seconds had lit the small fuse and stuck the last of the explosive to its frame. Moving around the corner, they braced for detonation, and as soon as the flame struck the improvised explosive mix the entire door was blown apart. Iska moved around the corner first, her submachine gun at the ready.

Ivan pulled the pin on a grenade, waited a second before lobbing it as far inside the now smoking doorway as possible. Hoping to catch any soldiers drawn to the explosion in the second smaller one. If not it would be enough to disturb most from their hiding places, enough so the three man team could get inside.

Aleksandra Shanina

Aleksandra started to ease when the soldier calmed down. She picked up her sniper rifle and her knife and strapped them to her back. She looked down at her torn shirt, noticing her under cleavage barely hanging out. She had ignored it for the whole time. She attempted to pull her shirt over it. The shirt merely went back up. Not wanting to rip her shirt even more she ignored it again.

She one of the men was staring at her with a disapproving glance. He had black hair and tanned skin. She immediately started to hate him.

Michaela had closely followed Salima's movements through the scope of her rifle. The Moroccan girl was extremely lucky, as nobody seemed to have been aware of her, and as she hit the dirt in the aftermath of the explosion her aim changed.

Quickly she turned around, now targeting the guard on top of the building. One second later he slumped to the floor, a red flower blossoming on his forehead, and in all the commotion her shot probably had not even been heard.

It was then that the first soldiers were pouring out of the front door, led by someone wearing the uniform of an SS Obersturmführer, while her Russian allies were placing the explosives at the front door. Michaela lost no time. She was in the zone now, one perfectly honed machine of death. Like a precisely calibrated automaton her hand flew to the loading mechanism again and again as she dispensed her little angels of oblivion, sending them down into the courtyard below in an amazing frequency.

The SS officer was the first to drop, and before they had realized what was happening and had scattered to cover, three more corpses soaked the earth with their blood. Then her clip was empty. As she had reloaded, no immediate targets were in sight. Whoever was left was probably cowering behind cover, so she turned her attention to the windows of the main building, trying to make out any shilouettes through them.

Williams Lipton

Williams and his men had heard the explosion a little while ago and could now see smoke rising a little over in the distance about a hundred yards or so. Williams looked at his men and the Russian women, "Alright, we`ve got to head over there and see what that was all about. Richard help our friend here if she needs it." then he ran towards the direction where gunfiring and shouting could be heard.

Everyone followed Williams until they came out of the tree cover and saw the source of the commotion.

Raphael Gurber

Sniper!

That call felt like it hit him in the pit of his stomach, how on earth did the enemy know to hit them now?

"Stay away from the windows! Stay low and cover all entrances!"

He could keep the men under his direct command alive, but those who followed Obersturmführer Lande would be on their own mercy until they could make it back into the building. He was never afraid to die, but he didn't think it would end like this, a wicked grin crossed his face for a moment, then he moved back into his office. Overturning the heavy desk, he placed it at a barricade angle, he tied his MP-40 to the desk using rope. Cocking the action, he tied rope around the trigger, laid it around the desk and crouched down close to the door, but out of firing range of the weapon. He didn't have a dream of killing anybody coming into the room as they would come in low and high, usual Ally move, but he was going to make certain that he will die like a soldier at least. He waited patiently as more shots rang out from outside the building,

"Für Führer? Hell no. Für bürger und Vaterland, I will not die for that auslander"

Salima Mimoun

Salima kept lying in the snow. She wasn't injured, although her breasts still hurt. The explosion had stopped, but she heard firing and sounds of fighting. What should she do? Her first thought was to jump up and run, but then she might become an attractive target, so she decided to keep down and look carefully around. The blaze of the explosion was still raging, but there were no more flying fragments. She got up quickly and just got around the corner of the next building, where sehe would stay and hide, sometimes peaking around the corner.

John Edwards

John saw the chaos unfold and looked over at Lieutenant William. "Looks like the Germans are being attacked, probably French Reisistance."

"Well then lets help them out." Replied William.

They rushed down the small hill and headed towards the building that the Germans were holding up in. John was thankful that none of them came under fire. The Germans were too busy trying to find cover as sniper shots rang out.

Salima Mimoun

Salima saw that a group of people chased down the hill. They would pass the building where she was hiding, but maybe they would not see her if they focused on the fire and the house of the germans, where the fight was going on. She moved back a little more and pressed herself against the wall.

Iska

The grenade exploded and there was obviously a reaction as several screams could be heard. Iska quickly entered the building, smoke blinding her partially but she moved forwards until she found suitable cover. Shadows danced beyond the smoke, and she quickly opened fire. Half the magazine spent cutting a few more men down.

Ivan and Vasilli followed, one of them keeping guard over the door in case soldiers tried to flank them.

Iska picked out the landmarks that Michaela had described, and quickly took off in the direction of the Americans cell. How many more Germans waited for them?

A hail of gunfire pattered down a wall towards her and she dove for cover. Finding the assailant just before Ivan fired a single shot and freed the mans brain from his skull with impressive accuracy. Up ahead were the stairs, and she quickly checked their surroundings before entering them.

((I totally forget where I am going, lol.))

Mike Adams

The German looked away from Mike and towards the door where gunfire and foot falls could be heard. Mike took that instant, while the German was distracted, to move his feet and trip him.

During the interrogation Mike had slowly been loosening the bonds that held his hand together. His feet hadn`t been fully secured so freeing his feet was easy enough. He had baited the German so as to keep his attention away from what Mike was doing.

As the German fell, Mike finally removed the bonds that held his hands and got up at just about the same time that the German got to his feet. Now, they stood facing each other.

The German lunged forward and rammed into Mike. Mike managed to grab ahold of him so as to avoid falling down. Mike threw a punch, with his right hand, towards the man`s stomach causing the man to double over. The man responds by quickly kicking Mike on his right leg.

There!

After she had seen the three Russians charge into the building no new targets had presented themselves for Michaela, but now she could see some silhouettes moving against one window on the first floor. And that was a German uniform. It was not a clean or easy shot as he moved so fast and unpredictably and his head could not be seen, but then she was no beginner either. Immediately her rifle roared, and the bullet shattered the window and pierced through the lower spine of the interrogation officer who was about to attack Mike again.

Salima Mimoun

Salima heard the new arrivals getting close by, but she did not dare to look and moved as far into the shadows as she could. They sounded like soldiers, but of course she could not say wich nation. They could be germans or french vichy-collaborateurs who wanted to support the attacked nazis. It was best to remain silent, also she checked for her small pistol.

Thomas Nixon and Mike Adams

Thomas followed William and John as they neared the building. A group of soldier, none of whom Germans, had already entered the building. William lead them to a back door of the building. "Nixon up front, prepare to breach." said William as he reach for the door handle.

Nixon aimed hs rifle at the door, ready for any threat should one present itself when William opened the door.

When the door opened, Nixon saw no hostiles, so he slowly proceeded inside followed by John and Williams.

Mike fell down to his knees from the kick he had recieved on his right knee. Suddenly, Mike heard the shattering of glass. Time seemed to slow down as he saw a small bit of metal speed towards the German.

Mike knew that this was both good and bad. Good because the bullet would probably kill the German. Bad because Mike was on his knees in front of the German, meaning that the bullet would hit him as well.

Mike instinctivley dodged to the right but was too late. He felt a sharp pain on his left arm as the bullet hit him. He fell down on the ground and began cursing as pain coursed through him. Looking at the wound, Mike was glad to see that it wasn`t lethal, but he would need medical assistance.
