Stubborn and pig-headed. Lance had to admit, she was reminding him a lot of him when he was younger. She needed to go and do her own thing, and he had no doubt of that.
The only problem was, he was no longer needed with them. His mission wasn't to their cause, it was simply to the book. They were bonded, beyond space and time they were bonded together. Now that he had the book, and the rings to open it's magic, all he would need is the last page and the alter.
The alter was going to be a bitch to find, but at least he partially knew where the page was. If only he didn't have to take everything on it. It would be much simpler if all he could grab was the other half of that spell.
A shudder went down his spine as he thought about the word. It was just one simple word, and in all honesty, didn't even need the book's magic for it to work.
No one can know about it. Which is why it was seperated from the book so long ago.
A twist of fate though, after all this time it was needed to be found again.
Turning off to a country road, Lance made his way into the foothills. From the ease that they had been followed, and the planning of that attack earlier, it seemed like they were being followed rather closely. That's how it always was. He had no doubt Willow was being paid a great deal, and with that kind of money one could buy almost anything.
After a long drive in the country road, he took a turn off onto a gravel one. Dust and pebbles reached into the night sky as he made off towards the secret place. He just hoped after all these years it wasn't boarded up.
