Woven Rings Of Destiny ( Continuation of The Family)

Aria

"Why would Vlad reverse the spell and what would happen if he did reverse it?" This was all so consuming to think about. So many possibilities, so many outcomes.
There were vampires and humans alike searching for this book and all it held. I wished momentarily I knew more of this book and what exactly was in it. I rested my head on his shoulder, glancing at the rings on my middle finger.
I lifted my head and looked at him closely, "What do you think is best for 'us' to do with this book? And the knowledge it could give us?"

Joseph

"Well, reversing the spell to make us human would turn us back into the carrion eaters we were in times long past. Besides, it might unlock his gift. I don't know. And as for us, we'd have to see what it held. There are things that could save the world, or destroy it."

He closed his eyes, hugging her to him as he yawned, his breathing evening out. Feeling her next to him, he slept peacefully for the first time in years.

Aria

It was deffinately time to sleep. I curled up against my sleeping husband, the first time in many years and fell into a dreamless sleep. In the morning it would again be time to face the lion once again and see if he would aid me in this quest. I just hoped to hell Ray didn't hold a grudge..

Ray

My eyes open as the sun sets once more I lay in my bed for a few minutes and then I stand. I move around my room finding clean clothes and moving in to the bathroom. I take a quick shower before getting driest. I then walk down stars to the living room. I walk in to the kitchen looking through the fridge I fined some loft over hot dish in the back. I take it out and throw it in to the mickuwave.

I finish eating and stand leaving the dirty dishes where they are not rely caring enough to clean up. I walk out side looking around at the clear night sky I frown wishing that it was still storming out. I walk down to the stony shore line jumping out to a large stone standing alone in the middle of the serf. I stand letting the spray of the backing waves wash over me as I look out at the rolling waves of the serf coming in to shore.

I stand like I was carved form the stone I stand on waiting for aria to com knowing that she will. I frown wondering if Joseph is with her and why he wasn’t there last night. I shrug inporseptuvly as I stand watching the sea under the night sky. I look up at the stars smiling at the seeming endless expanse of the void. I settle down in to a crouch as I watch and wait for what will com wither I like it or not.

Aria

I awoke as soon as the sunset and glanced at the time. It was time to get things rolling instead of sitting on my ass and taking my sweet time. Rising I wasted as little time as possible with showering and dressing.
Breakfast consisted of an apple and glass of milk. I left quietly, letting Joseph sleep and heal. I was in no mood to battle wills today as was our normal habits at times when he wanted to protect me and I wanted none of it.
Walking into the nearest grocery store, I sent a telegram to my cousin in New York. She would be needed also, and the world's puzzles were her favorite play things.
I thought about calling Ray and asking his decision, but thought it best to walk my buns back to his place.
He really needed to get a road to his lighthouse sometime soon.
I walked up and knocked again, this time softly, knowing he was awake.
"Come on Ray, open up hun.. England won't wait forever.."
I heard a sound behind me and my mind reached out quietly.
"There you are!
I turned from the house and wandered down over the trail leading down the sandy hills to the beach. He stood out on a rock, watching the water roll.
"Ray?!" I called out to him, wondering if he could hear me or not?

I hear her steps on the beach before she calls out my name. I stand for a few more seconds and then tern on my heel. My eyes meets hers for a second before I jump back to the beach clearing the water easily I land beside her easily. I look at her with my emotionless eyes briefly before walking back up to the lighthouse not even looking back to see if she fallows.

I walk in to the stone building leaving the door wide open I move in to the living area. Sitting in a leather recliner and watching the door for her. “When do you won’t to go?” I say in a cold emotionless voice as she walks in throw the door.

Aria

Well he had done it, he had succeeded in making himself a wall. I seen it in his eyes and heard it in his tone of voice. His mind was a murky inky black mess I couldn't get through to communicate if I wanted to.
Shaking my head, I walked back up the path follwing him. He was lucky I was in a nice mood, I had half the midn to kick his ass for that. Even I did not deserve to be treated that way by him.
I stood in the door way, "We leave tonight, First class seats on the plane, we leave just before dawn. Landing in London to search some of the churches records for the book and get an idea of what is posses inside it." I moved within again and sat on the couch across from him.
My eyes pinned him to the seat as I stared blatantly. "You can block and hide all you want Ray, you know it's just a matter of time before those walls fall again. As much as you want to hate me, you can't. As much as I want to take away your pain, I can't. Coming to terms with this would be alot easier.." I rose from the couch stepping towards him. My hand came down and rested softly on his, "Friends, perhaps against your will, but we're still friends Ray. Wether you want it or not.." I walked away from him then, knowing he would want to brood some more and grumble as was his style. I smiled and shook my head, some things never change. And it was pleasant to see he was still as strong today as he was when I met him.

Steel

Steel stood outside his home, each shade drawn and each light turned off. He dagger was in a small sheath tucked into the back of his belt. He pulled a baseball cap on backwords as he walked along the porch. The rain was coming down hard just beyond where he stood and he dreaded having to hunt tonight of all nights.

"Curse this whole thing, eternal life and damnation. I'd rather be dead, having loved someone and them loved me, than to be here hunting in this awful night."

Steel spoke to himself, his words flowing in a soft melody. He would make the perfect postchild for any new clothing line, his appearance riveling that of any model out there now. But he kept it hidden, his cold heart keeping him away from others, and only drawing on his phobia as he forced himself to remain at home.

Steel stepped from the dry area of his porch and into the wind blown rain, immediately feeling his clothing dampen. He cursed loudly and walked to his car, a half-way new '97 Ford Mustang. He climbed in grumpily and pulled from his driveway, heading toward the city as he became hungrier.

The medallion he wore shone slightly under his shirt, reminding him that it's feeding time. He covered it with his hand and the warmth only furth chilled his bones. Inside the medallion was his mother's blood, mixed with special potions and elixers of ancient days. He was still muttering as he pulled into the parking lot of a local club.

Steel threw the car into park and got out, running quickly to the club entrance and walking in, shaking the wetness from his clothing as best he could. He quickly scanned the room for anyone he could easily pick off and be done with for the night.

Steel saw no one, a sour smile coming to his face as he made his way to the bar, seating himself and looking about impatiently. His clothes were wet, his hunger growing, and his impatience at a high.

"What a great night this will be....." Steel thought to himself, giving one last baleful look to the crowd before ordering a scotch.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

The night progressed as slow as ever. More than a dozen chicks had hit on Steel, but none seemed pure in blood to quench his desire. He frowned, continuing to ignore the onslaught of skanks that continued to fight for his attention.

Steel swung around in the bar stool so suddenly that many of the people nearby jumped back in fright. He eyed a young lady who had just waltzed into the room. Her appearance was that of pure innocence, and the aura that caught and grasped Steel's attention was one that Mother Mary would be envious of. Steel knew he had to have her, and quickly.

Steel made his approach, stunning charms and flashy smiles should do the trick. He chuckled to himself, thinking how easy this was after so many years of practice. The young girl was his in merely 10 minutes and out they walked into the rain together, his eyes taking in every curve of her neck. He showed her to the back of the building, where he kissed her gently; then, as she was leaning her head back for him to suck gently on her neck, he struck. His teeth grew quickly, sinking deep into her vein as he sucked, devouring the sweet liquid that ran from her heart straight to his mouth. Blood leaked out the sides of his lips as he finished, her skin as pale as the moon. He lifted her from where she lay and placed her in the dumpster, covering her with trash and walking back to his car.

Steel smiled to himself, leaning against the car and looking up to the moon. He wished he could stop this, but after a feeding he was so full of energy, so ready for life and anything. He chuckled loudly and waited, he wanted to savour the moment. He stood staring wistfully at the moon.

OOC: Let me know if this is ok.. k? k. :D

Aria

ooc: Perfect and Welcome ;)

IC: Walking up the dunes, I made it back to solid ground and to my car. It was time to feed, and feed I would. I thought a moment about waking Joseph and changed my mind. He needed rest, lots of it. From the look of him that battle had really did a number on him.
Slipping inside the rental, I put it into reverse and backed out. Glancing down, I smiled, still looked good and was dressed in revealing enough clothes to attract a meal.
Checking to make sure my daggers were in my boots, I started into the heart of the city. The night was rather empty for some reason, but I paid it no mind. Absense of morons on the road was better for me anyways.
Pulling up into a parking lot of some techno-club, I parked and climbed out.
"Well here goes nothing." The bouncer let me in, amazing what a woman can get with a flirty smile and a nice rack. I chuckled in amusement as I walked inside the thumping club.
Sitting myself into a dark corner, I waited for a loner to venture my way.

Steel eyed the lone female as she climbed from the car and made her way gracefully to the club entrance. He thought of following her but decided it better to stay next to his car. He aura was dark yet warming and he didn't like the feeling it gave his bones. He reached back and made sure his dagger was properly secured as he left his car and wandered along the streets, glancing absent-mindedly into shop windows.

Steel was amazed at how long the shops in this city stayed open at night, people always seeming to want to shop. His thoughts were still on the female he had just seen and he couldn't seem to shake the strange feeling from his gut. She seemed important to his "Vision." He dreamed many times at night, and a strange book, perhaps a relic from long ago, appeared in every dream occompanied by a mysterious woman. Each time he awoke, he was covered in a sheer sweat and needed to sooth himself with a small glass of scotch.

Steel continued along the street aimlessly, thinking of his dream and the woman and of the strange feeling he was having. He didn't even notice the group of four rather large men with poles and other weapons following him until the largest one, around 6'5" struck him in the back of the head with a metal pipe, blackness immediately striking his vision.

Steel's body dropped in a heap, crumpled painfully as the group kicked and punched him, sending him further along the path of unconsiousness. The blackness seemed never ending, and the pain kept multiplying.

Talia

I sat in my car and flew along the road into town. It was a jiffy little sports car that I loved as it was able to reach incredible speeds for it's make.

Dante sat beside me with a small grin on his face. I wondered what her was up to, but long ago I had learnt that trying to understand the melancholy stirrings of his soul was useless.

"Where to tonight Talia" he asked, parctically rubbing his hands together and leering at my exposed chest.

"Nightshade"

He smiled. He liked it there.I often went there just to listen to the music and not necessarily to feed, tonight how ever I had the inclination to do both.

We soon arrived and I pulled smoothly into the parking lot and parked the car. I remembered to grab my small handbag before floating in.

There was no need for any Id as he knew me well by now.

As soon as we got into the packed dance arena, Dante disappeared as he always did leaving me alone with the moving mass of dancers.

I detest thick crowds

I carefully floated through the them . I finally reached a relatively underpopulated area. There was one woman sitting silently at one of the tables, she had brown hair and large blue eyes.

I immeadiantly felt a stirring in my mind, it always occured when I came close to another psychic or a another vampire.

"May I sit here?" I asked softly my voice melting with the music.

OOC:I hope you don't mind.

Aria

The room tilted and my sight went black as the familiar cold feeling came over me. I took it in stride and relaxed instead of fighting it off. Calming my stomach my inner eye opened up and within the darkened area I watched as some strangers attacked a loner. Hands fisted in anger and disgust for it, the vision cleared and I rose from my stool.
"Excuse me a moment will you?" I didn't wait for her to answer, I just moved.
I didn't look neither left nor right as I exited the club and walked along the road. Walked hell, I was moving faster than that, but walking still.
I came up behind a large man with a pipe in his hand. I growled low in my throat and lifted him by the back of his pants and threw him across into the brick wall. Reaching down inside my boots, I withdrew both daggers and held them ready.
A few stunned faces turned to look at me and over at their friend laying knocked out on the ground.
"Want to pick on someone your own size boys?" I moved towards them, my fangs distended and visable through my grin. I was hungry, irritated and in no mood for macho men.
"Hey now.. Put those things away baby! He just owes us some money is all..." One of the men tried to explain to me, I some how doubted it.
"I don't want any trouble boys, I am only here for the night, so how about you just leave this one alone and do this some other time hmm?" I smiled sweetly and waited. They glanced from their large friend to the small female and back again.
"Yeah some other time..." They slowly backed off and away from me. I wanted to pat myself on that back, I did a rather nice job there.
I sheathed my daggers and bent down, helping the guy with the lump on his head along with me.
"You must have some real bad luck stranger.." As the rush came down from the could-have-been slaughter, I felt an answering tremble under my fingertips and I let go of the guy I was holding onto.
"Vampire.." I whispered nearly gasped too loudly. I glanced around, Hadn't he been in the parking lot of the club I was just at? I bent down, helping him once more to his feet as I hurried us both along to the club. I stopped outside the front door and spoke to the bouncer, "Help him? He was attacked by someone.." I glanced at the guy's eyes before quickly making my way back into the club.
Last vampire I met had been Vladamir, I certainly did not want to mess with another one of him. I walked back to my table and glanced down at the woman who had come to join me before all this.
Time was ticking down and destiny was calling and for some damned reason I was running into all of Massachusetts vampires tonight. I sat down, my eyes holding this woman's in a steady gaze, "Hello there, you were saying?" I would see one way or another just what this one was up to too.

Talia

The woman excused herself and sprinted suddenly out. Talia wondered what was up and she left she saw what the other woman had seen, the loner being attacked.

Realising at that moment she was a vampire Talia sat knowing she would be able to take care of it.

When the woman returned she looked up into her blue eyes with her own midnight pair.

"Hello there, you were saying?" she said

Talia quickly summed her up. She seemed steady and sure, and for the most part not a real threat, but Talia never underestimated anyone.

"I am Talia" she answered" And I wondered if I could sit beside you here that is all"

Talia's voice was cold and as usual revealed nothing but her flashed slightly showing that she was disturbed by something in the other woman's aura.

Steel groaned as he came to. His eyes opened slowly, the light hurting intensely as he shielded his vision. The bouncer had carried him in and sat him in a booth, leaving a bag full of ice and a glass of water in front of him. The last memory he had was of falling forward and then darkness. A few consious moments of a guy being flung to a wall, and a mysterious female, and that was about all he remember until this point.

Steel opened his eyes wider, glancing around and noticing that he was back at the club he started at, blood still running from the cut on the back of his head. He frowned to himself, wondering how he'd let someone sneak up on him, and then make a fool of himself by allowing that same someone to knock him out and continue to pound on him. He blushed suddenly, remembering the female and how she had helped him. Embarrassed and anger, he swung he fist down on the table, splintering it as he stood up. His eyes scanned the gasping crowd as he looked out over them. Just a wave of food in his eyes.

Steel's arm was bleeding profusely, but he ignored it, the medallion on his neck glowing brightly as he turned and made his way towards the exit. He was determined to find these punks and devour their souls after he battered their useless bodies.

Ray

I watch as she walks out the door with out another ward. I shake my head as I stand and walk up to the second floor. I through some clothes and weapons in to a duffel bag not needing much. I look around finding my sword and belting it on and I throw on a trench coat to hide it.

I go back down the stairs throwing the duffel bag down next to the door feeling the hunger building with in me. I wince thinking "I ges I should go hunt." I walk out the door and move behind the stone building moving to my dirt bike. I sit astride it and kick it to life tearing out down the beach sand spraying behind me.

I jump over the downs as I search for a beach bum or a long night stroller. I notes a house down the beach awayes. I frown knowing that there’s a vampire living there and she is old. I shake my head at the odd fell of something polling me to the house. I pass by it searching for my meal.

About a half mile down the beach I find a man carrying a body to the water. I swing in front of him smiling coldly. I say well well what do we have hear. I step off of my bike laughing as the man drops the body and polls a gun pointing it at me. I move just as he begins to pole the trigger. I seem to disappear as he fires I move behind him saying boo in to his ear.

He drops the gun as fear paralysis him I grab his arms and hold him up as I bit his neck tearing his carotid artery wide open. I suck deeply savoring the taste of his blood as it gushes in to my mouth. I feel the warmth flowing threw me as his blood hits my stomach.

I let his lifeless corps fall to my feet as I stand with my eyes closed enjoying the warmth that is flooding my body. I open my eye’s looking at the two dead bodies I lean down picking them both up and carrying them to the serf. I toss them in to the water watching as the tide cares them out to sea. I tern and walk back to my bike revving it up as I look around for any more pray.

I sye not rely feeling like hunting down another not in the mood. I shake my head agene and take off back to my light house passing the house agene but this time theirs no pull for me to go there. I stop behind my home and walk back to the door. I walk in side and back up to the top. I lookout over the sea agene trying to bring peace back to my mind a peace that I once had but I doubt I will ever have it agene.

Aria

*DONT DO IT!* My mind demanded in a dominating way as my eyes swung around to meet those of the injured man. I saw his eyes widen slightly as my mind caressed his with my warning.
It wasn't usual a vampire could touch someone else's mind. Vampire or human, but I did it. My eyes steadily held his, knowing that if he tried again to go out and battle with that nasty bump on his head, he would lose. *A Vampire can be weakened, can be taken out. By even the weakest of humans. So don't press your luck.* I left it at that, my eyes left his a moment and I saw something glowing under his shirt. My eyes clouded momentarily with curiousity and they met back with his. Questioningly.

I turned back to the woman and smiled, "Do pardon me, I am not usually this rude to others. Would you like a drink? I am Aria DeLonaye, and you are?" This woman was deffinately a vampire, I wondered exactly what she wanted with me, and if this had to do with the quest. Was here intent on stopping me or aiding? Or did she even know? I closed my fingers, hiding the ring within my fist, just waiting to see what she would do or say.

Talia

"I am Talia" she repeated softly" And yes I'll take a drink"

Thinking shortly Talia continued," Also, I do not know of your quest in it's fullest sense of the word, but as old as I am I have heard of the Book several times"

She stared at the young vampire named aria with an even gaze, trying to gauge her reaction.

"As for helping or hindering," Talia carefully chose her words, when she had read the girl's mind she hadn't meant to give it away that she could, but her definite answers said it all." I will not hinder, and I can not promise help"

Steel's anger surged, he heard the woman's voice in his mind, wasn't surprised, but he wasn't letting her warning stop him. He had to regain his stature. He hated looking weak in front of women, and it angered him further to know he was rescued by one.

His fist struck out, the wall flaking in front of Steel as his knuckles struck it. The bouncers were quick to try and react, but Steel's anger surged him, new strengths and abilities coursing through him. He moved quickly, both bouncers missing in their lunge at him, falling together in a heap as he landing a few feet to his right. He pulled his leg back to kick one of the bouncers, but an unknown force held his foot, his mind clouding and his body falling limp as a strange feeling overtook him. It all seemed to be surging from the crystal of the medallion.

"ARGHHHHHHHH" The scream was filled with pain, lightning streaking Steel's jaded hues as he dropped to his knees, his hands grasping the sides of his head.

Steel's breath was labored, distorted, his vision blurred. He stood up, stumbling to the door and out into the night, not knowing what was happening.

Aria

"Well I can see your talent matches my own. Waitress?" I turned and asked the serving girl to bring us something to drink.
"What do you know of the book, that's about all I need to know if you are willing to talk?" The commotion at the door caught my attention for a moment, but the guy vanished out the door.
Shaking my head, I turned back to look at her.
"New borns.." It was all I needed to say. This new guy must not be very old to have no control over himself. I filed away his face and what happened for later use. Perhaps before I flew out in the morning I would track that one down and find out what was around his neck?

Talia

Talia hardly payed the young flegdling any mind. It had been hundreds of years since she had been at that stage she now veiwed it as insignifigant.

As the drinks came she sipped her tonic slowly and definitely, trying to feel out what to say next. She was unsure of were to go from her. She knew with certainty however that her face did not betry this doubt even if her thoughts did.

Just then Dante , with some young brat in hand, cut through the crowd and sat at the table.

Talia sighed to herself. The girl looked no more that 23 and was obviously stoned.

Dante lent a wandering eyes over Aria and smiled rakishly.

"Hello there young one" he purred" I am Dante D'Dontego, Count of Fulstan"

Talia nearly choked on my drink. Somehow she doubted that she would be at all impressed by this but she remained otherwise silent.

Steel had only regained his control when he stumbled around to the far side of the club. His vision cleared and his thoughts of death and destruction subsided. He knew the other two in the club thought bitterly of him, and he cursed himself as he sank to a sitting position with his knees in front of him, leaning against the wall as he continued to let his arm bleed.

Steel didn't know what happened, the anger had come and then he lost all control. He faintly remembered the table, and the bouncers. All he did remember was the horrible pain the crystal inflicted him as he was preparing for that obviously deadly blow.

Tears, cold and dry, formed in his eyes, running slowly down his cheeks as his mind drifted to sleep, one he knew would be restless and full of confusing and troubling dreams.

Talia

Excusing herself and leaving Dante with Aria she made her way outside to look for the young one. He had begun to play on her mind.

Finding him sleeping behind the club, she gently woke him for a fidgety sleep.

"Hello" she said to him kindly" I am Talia, come with me, don't stay out here like this"

Steel woke slowly, his eyes becoming focused to the dark as they opened. The lightning streaks remained. He coughed as he looked up to see who had woken him.

"Come with me, don't stay here like this" She said, her voice sweet and kind.

Steel coughed again, his eyes fully focusing as he recognized the girl from the club. His cheeks turned to a deep crimson, embarrassment easily seen.

"I.. uh.. I'm... I'm ok here." Steel mumbled, blushing even more as he realized what a fool he was.

Talia

Taliaignored his refusal and took him by the arm. realising his embarassment she smiled kindly at him as she effortlessly pulled him up.

"Come along young one" she intoned" Come inside and get a drink, you look a bit woosy"

Steel was only slightly surprised to be pulled to his feet by this lady. He tried to guess her age, saying she couldn't be more than 22, but since she was a vampire, she could possibly be older than he was.

Steel smiled in return, following her back into the club. He allowed her to lead him by the hand, though he still felt foolish and childlike, he just liked her touch and embrace.
