Woven Rings Of Destiny ( Continuation of The Family)

Lance felt no need to rush. He knew, just as well as she did that pleasure would both come to them soon enough. He didn't so much as push into her, more than rock against her.
Their flesh moved together. His skin at times rubbing up against her. Both of them were sweating quite well about now, and the skin moved across as easily as he had slipped inside her. It added to very pleasure, his hard muscles against her soft curves. Hard nipples sliding across his pecs. All of it intensified the process.
He bit his lip, getting into a steady movement. He used his hips more than anything else, a slow steady grinding of himself into her. His hands were out, holding onto the sheets as he was on top of her, their succulent rhythm matching each other.
He moaned as he felt her tighten around him. It added just enough friction to grab at him as he was deep inside her. He still moved, but now it was rougher. Lance felt himself push now, really push into her, not simply moving around.
As if to show his gratitude he let out a long low moan. He also nipped at the side of her neck, letting his teeth come down. Just shy of enough strength to draw blood.
Now he began to move, thrust into her. A pace perhaps faster than before, but not necessarily. The only thing that had changed really was intensity.
Muscles over his sweat glistened body stretched and held as he looked up to her now. An intensity was there now, lust and passion replaced love and understanding.
They had made love, but they were moving steadily into sex territory. It felt right though, he didn't know why exactly, but it just felt right.
Everything was clicking together.
He let out another moan, searching for her lips, her tongue, and finding them.

Erika

The slow tender motions began to soon take a life of their own. Desire feeding their thoughts and actions, the body took over more than the mind. Hands caressing, lips touching to bare glistening skin, their moans in harmony with the other's.
It went from a slow driving love into a needful lust. Each rocking against the other, seeking more and more of that pleasure. Lips locked, the world tipped and righted itself. The room heated and my heart was near bursting with trying to breath.
My walls clamped down on his thrusting shaft, the tremors started deep in my stomach muscles and worked their way out. My lips parted slightly as little mewling sounds came constantly from my throat. Biting into my bottom lip, I tensed up, eyes widening some what.
"Oh my! Lance!" I was soaring, ripped apart and tossed into the air. Arching nearly my whole torso off of the bed, My eyes fell closed as that pressure that had built errupted like a volcano.
My fingertips dug into the center of his back as my walls began to rythmicly milk his shaft. Panting and moaning, I tensed again, my climax heightening with each thrust he made, carring it further and further.
A long loud wail sounded as my body melted back into the bed, no longer fighting it. Wave after warm wave crashed over me, tremors and jerking, my hips danced in an erratic movement.
And still the tortured purr came from my lips as it didn't stop, but started to climb once more.
I felt a panic set in for an irrational moment that I would not live through this!? Again I began to climb and spiral the walls never losing their tight hold on him as I began to thrust up and down in short jerkish movements.

Aria

I walked inside the house, past Ray completely ignoring him.
He stepped in my path, "Where were you?" He asked gently, concern on his face plain and clear.
"walking now move." I glared up at his large figure, not even slightly intimidated by his presense.
"Oh and Joseph will be home soon.. Welcome him as you would before.. I am going to see Michael." I moved past him, ignoring his "Aria?!" I knew he wanted to know why I left, and I did not want to embarass myself any more than I already had.
I walked into Michael's room, his little body snuggly in bed and sound asleep. Feeling a few tears fall, I wiped them away and kissed his forehead good night.
"Sweet dreams my little love.." I left as quietly as I came in. Into my room and locking the door tightly behind me. I moved through the room, locating the voice activated safe.
"Aria." It opened on cue and in slipped the things I had gathered so far. According to what I was told, all of it was here now.. All except the altar. I would find it later. I shut the safe and hit the lock button, hiding it from plain sight once again.
Standing back up, I began to strip down to nothing, I needed another shower. I could still feel his hands on me.. still feel his body.. I shuddered visibly and felt ill once again.
A tear fell but I didn't notice as I turned on the water to as hot as I could stand it. Climbing inside, I cried out softly when the heated spray hit me, but soon I adjusted to the skin reddening temperatures.
This would get me clean, I knew it would... Just a few showers, some sleep and something to 'eat' would get me back on track. I wasn't weak nor simple minded. I could function just fine..
I crawled into bed after making sure all the bolts were locked, the window protected, the door barred and my daggers (backups) under my pillows for safety. I would be fine, given time and space..

Lance broke his pace, which has climbed slow and steady since they had started. His rhythm was never constant, but it was far from jerky. When he slowed down, he did it so it was hardly noticable. He had gotten harder and faster, moving agaisnt her, with her, feeling her match him, and accept him totally.
As she began to climax though, he slowed. He wasn't quite sure why, but he didn't want to keep going as she felt the first twinge of pleasure rip through her.
Instead, he kept his entire body rigid, pressing down into her as far as he could, letting his entire body be wrapped against her as she came on him. He felt it. Her legs wrapped tightly around him, released, so he could only feel whispers at the back of his legs, and then tightened once more. Her body convulsed under him, a movement apart from either of them. It was different, and felt both alien and friendly inside all of this. Everything had been slow, smooth, deliberate. These jerks were wild, big, almost reckless.
Still, it didn't feel out of place. It merely accented her pleasure. He had stimulated both her mind and her body. As her mind subdued itself the body came to life, riding it's own waves that he had created. He enjoyed it so.
Inside, he could feel her straining against him. The soft folds came alive, sending millions of different signals through him, that he could only close his eyes in passion and moan through. She had him, as much as he had pleased her, she did the same to him. Whether it was her, or simply the reaction of her body.
He bent down, kissing her, as they both rode it.
Once she slowed down, he began again. He didn't wait for her to stop, because there was so much more to do. Once he saw she had somewhat control over herself once more, he began again.
Lance started with a deep long thrust. Both of them moved, and he pushed farther then before, harder and stronger than any other time. He pushed both of them up the bed, gliding over the silken sheets helped by their own sweat. A deep long push inside of her, a promise of things to come.
Grunting now, something deep and gutteral that wasn't meant to be a word or a phrase, but simply a state of how things were now. He told her, in nothing more than sound how things were going to be now.
He felt beads run down his back, these were cold against his touch, and he knew they were not sweat. He was bleeding, her fingernails in his back had drawn blood. The smell, and the feel of it enraged his senses, and as he began this time he didn't pause for affection, or look into her eyes.
This was a marathon. They no longer moved together, at least not at first. He moved with his own pace, his own rhythm now. Something hard and wild, something that pushed the brink of his body. He felt white hot desire to do nothing more than be inside of her. It consumed him, fed him on as he moved.
His body slapped against hers, a sexy noise came to his ears of them meeting, and then pulling back only to meet once more. Wave after wave crashed against the shore, and each time he was there, as was she. They met it, embraced it, thrived within it.
Just as she wasn't in control when the orgasm consumed her, he was as well. His body was no longer his to control. The movements and the paces were all their own, something deeply embedded within him, everything feeling perfect from each moment on.
Without even thinking about it, he bit her.

Joseph

Joseph wandered through the night, silent. Lost in all the woul;ds and coulds of the past. Eventually, though, he found himself at the house again. He stared at it a few moments, Aria settling herself in to sleep as he walked up the steps.

He turned the knob, and slowly looked in. He could see no one. The others, it seemed, had gone to do whatever. He stepped into the house, and climbed upstairs. He checked in on his son first, smiling as he watched the boy rest, and then went to check on Aria. Her door, though, was locked.

He nodded, and helped himself to one of the guest rooms, settling himself in for the night.

Maggie

I sat there on the ground for the longest time, watching the both of them walk away in different directions and trying to figure out what the hell had just transpired. But it was useless, there was more to it than what I knew.
Sighing softly I finally picked myself up off the ground and began to head into the city. I just needed some time to think about everything. So many things had happened to me, to the family, but I felt something inside me that assured me that we would be fine and things would start looking up.
I no longer felt weak, nor the need for self doubt and such. It was the most spectacular feeling, I wanted to run through the streets screaming it at the top of my lungs. Hard as it was I refrained myself and went on the hunt for a suitable dinner....

Erika

His lips met mine, kissing me deeply as I rode out the rest of my orgasm. Once I could move slowly again, He broke away. his body angling a little differently and still moving within me.
I could faintly smell the scent of blood, my eyes widening a little as I realized I had dug my nails into his back. I released my hold on him, my mind feeling guilt for hurting him while I senses took hold and made me even more excited.
He grunted and moaned in pleasure, my eyes closed tightly as I began to feel another wave washing heat over my already spent body. A slight smile curved my lips momentarily before another moan erupted from down deep.
He began to pick up the pace, moving quicker, deeper in and out of my wet folds. I held onto hima s he moved lower, his lips trailing along my neck. Crying out in pleasure, I panted for air and felt his wild drive ebb into my own body.. Making me crave that wildness as well.
I met him thrust for thrust, my hands tightening on him once more. He pounded in and out harder, gone was the soft sweet stuff and in it's place a lust crazed pace.
I didn't mind, It didn't change the meaning of this in my own mind. It only fueled my desires. My walls tightened on him harder, His body tensed a moment and began to dance again. It took a little bit to get in sync with him, but I finally managed. He began to shove me higher and higher up the bed with the power behind his thrusts. My hands moved up to press against the head board to keep him from forcing my head into the wood.
Grinding harder into him, I felt his teeth sink into my neck. That was all it took, that bite that linked us sent me over the edge. I didn't realize at the moment he would now know all that was in my mind, he would know everything. All I felt was the pleasure double over ten fold and drive me to orgasm once more.
Crying out his name, a tear slipped down my cheek from just the simple pleasure I felt inside. My walls convulsed around his shaft, and liquid heat began to slicken my walls around him.

Lance drove into her, through her. He moved with precision and force that made him feel like she was merely in the way. In some oddly comical way he was trying his best to get over her, but just wasn't quite making it.
Again, and again, and again.
He began grunting as he did so. He wasn't sure where it started, sometime after he positioned himself better, so he was thrusting as much as he could in and then out of her again. A short grutning force that accompanies his movement. Something deep within him was stirring, and he had to use her.... had to use her body to get it out of him. A deep monster that stirred, echoed through his body, vibrating every inch of his sweat drenched skin.
Loud moaning, deep thrusting, and the bed moving now with them. Three lovers in sinc with each other. The bed hit against the back of the wall, hitting it over and over as they continued to fuck.
The slapping was constant, his moaning out into the open air thrived along with the bed as it hit against the back wall. Plast came down in small cracks, but even though he saw this with his half glazed eyes, it never actually registered in his mind to stop, or slow down, or even recognize it.
He was too lost inside of her to care about anything in the real world.
It came. A long deep feeling that slowed his pace. He didn't stop... or maybe he couldn't quite stop, not enough to lose that feeling. He became hard inside of her, harder than he ever was before. He tightened up, poised himself now above her, against her.
He moaned out something, he wasn't sure, maybe it was her name... it might not have even been a word, just a general sound of pleasure, but as he did so he pushed into her with one long deep thrust. Something that was neither fast nor hard, but it stayed inside her, it stuck against her tightened walls.
Lance kept this position, feeling himself come inside of her. Something that could only be gratitude escaped his lips as he once more bent down to the wound he made.
He drank long and deep, blood coming into him as he lost his seed.

Erika

I cried out, spiraling over and over, the room lost it's depth and my hearing went to a loud ringing as my body convulsed under his. He thrust harder and deeper, his sounds never reaching me.
My climax kept peaking as he thrust in and out, again as he drank from my neck.
My nails scored his back, my loud cries ringing in his ears, but some how I dont think he heard me. he spasmed inside me, hot bolts of cum sprayed my welcoming womb.
I felt so many things at once, but my mind was shattered completely. Nothing came to mind other than recognition of the tingling throughout my body.
Faintly I heard him moan my name, or what sounded close to it. In responce I uttered his. Clutching hands held tightly as the bed slowly stopped rocking and no more plaster fell from the ceiling.
Panting for air, I felt light headed and dizy. My body twitching from toes to crotch. Falling limply to the bed, I had no more in me to give, I was so out of it, I wasn't even sure if he was done or not?
I felt his weight come down on me as he sank, A smile broke out across my face as I attempted to push my hair out of my face. No luck, maybe in a few minutes when I was alive once more. The tranquil feeling came over me, sedated, pleased and royally screwed. I laid there, watching the pretty colors behind my closed eye lids. This was nice.. this was beyond nice. It made me feel very alive and some what at peace for the first time in a long time.

Nothing was said for a full ten minutes. Part of this might have been simple reflection of the act, the fondness of love and desire that still played against their bodies where they touched, but for Lance it was mostly just because he was too tired.
It took him most of the time to simply get his breath back. He had forgotten to breathe for a while, and now his lungs screamed at him for osygen. He was as helpless as a kitten as he layed beside her, panting for his next breath. His body felt like he had run uphill for a few miles, and in all honesty that wasn't far from the truth.
When he finally got subdued he did feel tired, but didn't sleep. He wanted nothing more than to cradle against her, but time was against them, and things were drawing to a close.
Finally he forced his muscles to move against her, going to pick up his clothes. It wasn't until he searched the room that he realized he didn't have any. Not yet at least. He searched through Erika's things, picking a shirt that didn't look too girly, and some sweatpants.
"Erika, I need to get to the others, we both do. Tonight is a night for many things to discuss, and I know I've waited too long to tell everyone. Can you...."
He didn't want to ask her to use her friends to find where they were, but there wasn't much of a choice...
"Can you find out where they are?"

Erika

I nodded, moment was over. It was something that couldn't repeat itself again. But I felt nice all over. I already knew where they were, since Joseph owned the houses, Vlad had lists of all of Joseph's properties all over the world.
Rolling to myside I picked up the folder and glanced at the crossed off (destroyed) houses and then found the recently checked on.
"Yeah, they are in the house just a few blocks from here.." I was worn out and tired, i didn't even care Lance was going through my things and taking what he wanted.
There was no reason to care about it..
Standing up was going to be a fun task but I guess I had to.
"They won't want me there Lance, why don't I give you the address and you go ahead and go? I can keep in touch from a distance.. I don't want to disrupt things more than I have already.." I felt a sadness come over me a moment, I had done this to myself, I asked for it.
Rejection hurt, but they had a good reason to not want me around.

Lance came up to her, his hand held out. He helped her from the bed, and then brought her to a nice hug. Stirrings of their encounter still danced around them, and he was glad of that. Their touched excited him.
"I know, it will be tough. We are all in this together, and if they don't understand that, then we will never finish this quest. They were all chosen for a reason, just as you and I were. We all must work together to destroy the relic. If you don't go with me, then there's no reason to go sweety."
He kissed her, lips lingering against each other. It sent shivers down his spine.
"You are part of the whole, the circle, the ring. Each of us are, in our own way. You must be there for the first part of the spell, we all must be. After that we can seperate, but not before. Once the first part is complete, it will truly be the beginning of the end."

Erika

I never doubted his word as much as I doubted it now. They wouldn't accept me in their little circle, I knew it.. And perhaps in time he would know it as well.
"Alright, I will come with you.." I wondered how much danger I was going to be putting myself in with going to their house? I had the sword and I had some of my own weapons, I just prayed I wouldn't have to use them.
I let him hold me for a little while longer before stepping back out of his embrace. "I need to dress and load up the rental car." I turned and tossed a few things that were important, including all of Vladamir's files and the sword, into my largest suitcase. Throwing on some sweats and a t shirt, I pushed my sandals on and tried to run my fingers through my hair. All the time my mind kept asking me what the hell I was doing? Begging for an early death!? And since when did I have a role in this silly quest?
I turned and glanced at Lance, a timid smile offered to him for I found him studying me.
"I am ready when ever you are.." I felt nervous and shakey all over. My heart beat kept accellerating wildly in my chest each time I thought of the lions den I was about to walk into. Picking up my cell phone and room keys, I pocketed them and checked the room again for anything I may need.
"The book!" I turned and walked quickly out to the living room. It wasn't where I left it. I paused and turned to Lance.
"Seems Aria is a little smarter than we thought.." I walked back into the bed room and picked up my case. "Shall we get this over with?" I asked him with a small scared smile.

Lance went out of the room, a bit worried about how things were turning up. He was starting to get a headache, forcing his body to keep moving despite it's constant urge to make him rest. It was getting to him, and making his head throb in pain.
"We should hurry, I think they will all be there, but maybe not. I don't want to waste any more time though, especially over needless things."
He went down with her to the lobby.

Erika

I packed my suitcase into the trunk and nodded, he did look worn out badly. Getting in, I drove the few blocks to their house. I parked out front and looked at the dark forboding exterior.
"Here we are..." I felt a nervousness come over me as I seen someone peek out of a window on the second floor.
"Well?" i felt edgy, jumpy and the urge to flee suddenly came over me. I had to tighten my hands on the wheel to keep from driving off..

Aria

I heard someone pulled up out side the house and moved to the window. If anything I was expecting some hired guns to be arriving to go at it again, but whoever it was sat in their car and didn't move.
I was too irritated to sleep, nightmares when I closed my eyes made it impossible to get any decent rest, and so I paced inside my room quietly.
Moving to the door, i unbarred it and began to cautiously move downstairs towards the front door. Ray had gone to bed, I could sense Joseph in the house as well, unrestful but trying. Michael was sound asleep and Maggie wasn't home yet. So it was me and the door and whoever was outside?

"Did I ever let anything bad happen to you?"
He got out of the car, moving with a purpose over to the house. It looked dead, old, a little dilapidated. It reminded him of an old cottage he used to own. He went there during the early 1700's. That was a bad time. It was when men still thought others were monsters, and would hunt them down.
When he killed too many he had to flee somewhere, and that little cottage was quite a place. Every time he walked up to it, it looked foreign, almost alien to him, but by the time he had left it was his home.
Living in a house just turns it to life. Even thought nothing is physically changed, there is a different tone, a different air about it. The house itself breathed life as life was inside of it.
It was happy.
This one didn't look happy. It looked as if no one had even gone inside for years and years. Still, there were some old signs. As a vampire he picked up the new smells wafting over, the dust that had been brushed off just enough for the appearance of clean, and a window that had apparently been broken in.
Nice touch.
He tried the door, but found it locked. Interesting. Leaning his shoulder into the wooden monolith he began applying pressure in bits at a time. The door gave a horrendous creak as it bent inward.
Then, just like a zit, it popped open. A nice little trick that he used often. It was loud, but it was useful, and to a vampire stealth was never really something they needed.
The inside looked worse than the outside.

Aria

I jumped back as the door swung open and gasped in surprise as Lance stood there.
"And just what do you want?" I said in a sarcastic tone. Letting him know clearly he wasn't needed here at this time.
I put my hands on my hips and waited for an explanation. "You just can't waltz your ass into my damned property when ever the mood suits you.. So explain before I get annoyed." I could and would kick his little ass all over the place if he didn't have a good reason for being here, especially breaking into my home.

Lance gave her a tired look, but thought against actually harming her. She was vital after all, as were all of them. The last thing he should do it kill the arrogant, millions would die on that little quest.
"You know why I'm here. The same reason I came back the first time, I think your question is more directed at Erika, in which case she..."
With his eyes he urged her to take center stage.
"She has something to say to you, and you will listen Aria. I know this is hard to understand, but it's important that you sit down and listen. I know it's hard to trust anyone, but I am here, and I would never let anything happen that will compromise our last journey."
He invited Erika in, closing the door behind her.
"Perhaps the parlor would be better suited for this conversation."

Aria

I turned and gave a brief glance to Lance but my eyes stayed locked on Erika's downward glance. What's this!? The bitch actually feels something other than hatred?
I snorted but turned to walk into the parlor, I would give them a few minutes of my time before kicking her out of my home.
"This way.." I felt so many things inside me right now, I didn't trust myself to go near Erika. I could easily strangle her for what shit she has caused me.
I turned around in the living room and stood waiting for some kind of explanation for this intrusion.

Erika

I felt pain inside me spreading, and no matter how hard I tried to feel confident and look into her eyes, I couldn't bring myself to even look at her.
I felt shamed and small, like I should leave and stay gone. I felt the reassuring warmth spreading from Lance as he gently took my elbow and escorted me into the livingroom.
I stood there for awhile, hands twisting together in worry of what to say and how to say this? I glanced up and met her hard unforgiving stare.
"Oh this is pointless Lance!" I spoke up, pain once more making my voice thick. She would never forgive me and I didn't blame her for it either. I turned to go but his hand stopped me. Sighing heavily I turned around and brought my chin up. My eyes met her cold hard stare and I finally got it out, "I am sorry Aria, for all the pain I have caused you and the worry I put you through. I was jealous and petty and only longed to have what you have. A son of my own.. I never met any harm to little Michael, that doesn't excuse it and I hope you can eventually forgive me?" I stopped speaking, I couldn't think of anything else to say to her to ease this situation. I peeked over at Lance beside me, hoping he could help in some small way, Aria looked even more pissed off at me.

"Sit down," he moved Erika into a chair in the parlor, giving her a little smile, "I'll get you something to drink."
He moved into the archway that connected the rest of the house, trying to figure out where the rest of the things were. Across the way he spotted the edge of a fridge. There would at least be water, something cold.
"Listen," he turned to Aria, "I have a bit of a headache, and I don't want to repeat myself too much tonight. I need everyone down here to hear what I have to say. Michael too, I know it's late, but he needs to be here for this as well, just as Erika does. Get everyone, and then things will be answered."
Perhaps some milk was in there. He would have liked a nice cold glass of milk.

Aria

I moved into the kitchen with Lance, my eyes narrowed on him.
"For starters Lance.. This is my home, don't issue orders to me. I can see you are tired, and I am curious why you returned to my house tonight instead of remaining in bed with Erika?"
I tapped my nails on my crossed upper arms, waiting to see what his reasoning was for coming out this late at night just to be a pain in my ass?
He just gave me that look, that pain in the ass stubborn look he always gave me. Sighing I moved no where but summoned Ray.
"Ray? Summon Maggie and wake Joseph and Michael please. Bring them down to the living room."
"What's up? You ok?"
"Yeah I am fine, just do this please and be prepared.. Lance has returned and with Erika of all people..."
"Don't do anything drastic, I will be right down.."

I said nothing more to Ray but felt him reach out to Maggie asking her to return promptly to the house. I could hear him walking around upstairs, entering Michael's room and picking him up. Waking a two year old at this hour was stupid and Lance was treading a thin line.
I heard Ray wake up Joseph as well and head down the stairs just as the front door opened and Maggie walked in. Both stood still and stared at Erika on our couch, looked at each other and walked a wide berth around her to the kitchen entry.
"Go in the living room please and have a seat and I will be out with Lance shortly." I instructed them both. Giving them both a hard look to know I meant it.
Ray and Maggie turned and went to sit as far from Erika as they could, both protectively holding Michael close to them. I could hear Joseph coming down as well.
"Alright, now I've woke the house, answer my question." I waited for him to say something in his defense.

Joseph

Still rubbing at his eyes, disappointed that he'd missed out on some much-needed rest, he stared around at everyone gathered. Ray and Maggie, that was good. Micheal and Aria, he smiled as he looked at the two people he cared about most. His eyes moved back and forth between the last two, and he sighed, and turned around. He frowned, and turned back.

He shouldn't leave Aria down here with Erika, even if she did seem to be a little respectful. And not only did he distrust Lance, he downright felt the need to ignore the SOB. He crossed his arms, and leaned against the wall. His eyes focused on Aria as he listened to everybody, his eyes drinking her in, feeling his love for her fill his heart. His happiness at seeing her doing...reasonablly well.

But still, what were the bitch and the loon doing here?

There was no milk, which dissapointed him. He would have loved a cold glass of milk, not that it coul help anything, but just so that he could drink it. Water would do, but still that little taste in the back of his throat craved something a little harder.
Oh well, things were difficult, that was just how life was. If it were easy, perhaps it wouldn't be as fun.
He stared at Aria a moment, taking in what she had said. Did he hear a hint of jealousy in that bed remark? Things would make so much sense now, especially the way she acted. She was jealous of Erika.
Well, if he had more time, he would probably give her a proper ride too, just to ease her nerves, but time was one thing they did not have. Perhaps another day.
"I'm here," he gave a more modest answer, " To end this whole quest, and make life safe once more, that is all."
He moved to the parlor, where everyone now stood. He thanked them all for coming, except Maggie. When he walked into the room, he smelled her at once. An ancient musk that wafted from her as if she had just been doused in perfume.
It wasn't perfume though, it was an old scent that he knew long ago. Without pausing he went up to her, kissing her full on the lips.
He did not make apologies to the woman, rather left her to her own thoughts. Maybe in some way it did make sense. Again, something he would never really know.
"I summoned you all here tonight for one reason. The shadows are closing in, and we have no more time for rest and relaxation. We have wasted too much time as it is, or rather I have. I mostly blame myself."
He walked around the room, holding control here. He continued to speak, even if someone tried to interrupt him. The headache wasn't going away, and there were many things to be discussed before twilight relieved them of the darkness.
"Already the enemies are getting bolder, more aggressive. Unless we do something now, then it will all be lost. We need to make our stand together, for it is only with the sanctity of the whole that we will ever have chance to survive all of this.
"I'm afraid we've all done a bit of sinning to get where we are now. I know I have, taking too much time to do this. Waiting, for the last possible minute. The witching hour. Sin of pride is here as well, the sin of death, contentment in the hopes of killing others."
His eyes glanced around to several in the room.
"Sin of power, of a godly state. The sin of personal gain or glory, seeking something for yourself even at the risk of others."
Several more in the room.
"It does not matter though, we are here, and we will all be cleansed soon enough. To complete the spell we are about to begin, we must have pure souls, and pure bodies. We can not be tainted in any way, otherwise the spell will not work. Fate calls for us to be the good guys, to be the best that humankind has to offer in the stand against evil, and if we are evil ourselves, then it is pointless to even fight."
He took another drink as his voice was getting a little dry. It was never easy for him to make speeches, to stand there like a nobleman, a man above men to tell others what must be done. In an old life that was what he lived for, and it still showed. The way he spoke, the way he walked; all the old inflections were still there. It wasn't a part of him anymore, but it still held on. An old lover that refused to let go, and as much as he tried, he couldn't bring himself to relinquish it.
"Aria, I am going to need the rings, as well as the amulet and the book. The first part of the spell is mostly just for our benefit, little trinkets to help us on the journey, for this will be the most dangerous part. The last leg of the adventure is always the most dangerous, and at this point we could use all the help we can get."

Aria

I listened to his little 'speach' and still did not trust him. I watched the others in the family, including the really confused Maggie, wondering what they would be thinking about all of this?
I thought it was rather amusing Lance took it upon himself to point out flaws, practice what you preach is what I was thinking.

He asked for a few items from the stash and I debated on getting them or telling him No. Deciding it was best to just get the items so he could leave my house was the best bet. I moved around the table and couches, ignoring Erika and moved upstairs. I didn't even glance at Joseph as I moved past, I couldn't bring myself to meet his gaze just yet.

Walking into my room, I opened the cover and spoke into the safe, listening for the clicking sound, I pulled out the rings, book and amulet. Pulling out the final page, I placed it back into the safe and locked it tightly. Replacing the cover, I moved back downstairs and set the items on the table between the couches.

Backing up a little, I moved towards the corner and kept my back protected. I don't know why I felt the need to protect myself, I just did. I watched in silence, waiting for anyone to make a wrong move. It was pretty bad that I was untrusting suddenly and filled with hatred. I wanted to laugh at Lance and his little speach about forgiving and forgetting. Easier said then done, but then again men hurt, never got hurt. He wouldn't know pain if it bit him on the ass.

Ignorance was bliss I guess, but still I would say nothing to him about it. Let him go on with his little mumbo jumbo and let me get back to sleep. Biting back a moan, I attempted to crouch in the corner, but couldn't.

"Aria?" ray's voice invaded my mind.
"What?"
I replied.
"what is going on here?"
"Don't worry about it, just watch them carefully."
"Are you alright? Need anything?"
"Yeah, sleep."
"I can feel your pain.. The thought's aren't healthy for you."
"Stay out of my mind Ray.. I thank you for caring but don't worry about me alright?"
"sure whatever.."
He grumbled, I knew he wasn't listening to me but I was used to that by now.
"When are you going to tell me what happened in that building?"
"Never if I can help it!"
"Bottling it up isn't helping you.."
"Neither is being in this house right now.."
"As soon as all this.. whatever.. is over with you should rest and heal."
"I will after I spend sometime in the training room."
"Promise?"
"Yeah! Now pay attention.."
I fell silent, refusing to keep talking to Ray and trying to hear what Lance had to say.

Erika

I could feel the hate eminating in the room, all around me, they glanced at me with daggers in their eyes. I tried to make myself smaller, but then I refused to cave in under them as well.
My hands fisted nervously at my sides, trying to maintain a cooness as Lance spoke to these people, but it wasn't working too well for me.
Ray was glaring at me, maggie as well. Aria was distancing herself into the back of the room, but I could feel her watching me as well. Joseph, lord how did he get inside the family without them knowing?
My mind reached out and I knew, this was infact the real man. So why was he here and how did he manage to stay alive once Aria saw him? So many confusing things inside my head, I had to snap out of it to listen to what Lance was saying.
I glanced across the room to where Michael rested his little head protected by Ray and Maggie. He was still a sweet little man, even if he wasn't mine and never would be. I turned my attention to Lance and tried to not let them bother me with their looks. After all I did deserve it, I just hoped I could prove myself before I died?

Joseph

Joseph listened, and caught a few key words that in his many years of experience, had special meaning. "Cleansed", "pure souls, and pure bodies", "shadows closing in", and a bad feeling began to crawl up his spine. And then he heard all he needed to hear. Good versus evil. That's what he was talking about.

He was completely fucking insane.

In all the years Joesph had lived, he had learned one vital fact: there is no good or bad, there is only your way and the other guy's way. Everyone thought they were in the right. Good and evil his ass. This was the craziest fucking thing he'd ever seen. And he was acting like he was in charge, like he knew it all and had this grand, foolproof plan. And then, with Maggie,....

He was a loon. Pure and simple. Lance was out of whatever mind he had. When they'd first met, Joseph had thought there was something wrong with his head, but emotions had clouded his judgement then. But now he was sure of it.

He kept talking, ignoring interruptions, calling on the items as if he should be looked up to as the wise master. Acting as if he was gathering his troups for the coming war. A war against who? He must have missed something important in the days he was dead and seeking revenge. Something big. Really big.

He waited until Aria goit back, and Lance was silent before he said anything. "Okay, just asking, but,....why are we listening to a thing he's saying? I've been kind of dead for a while, so I'm not really sure what in the world is going on."
