I managed to supress my laugh at this funny~looking creature. "Yes... An wonderful little uniform," I said while thinking, This idiot! He actually thinks I'm on their side? Oh, well, I thought as I smiled, he can think whatever he wishes.

I subtly took his measure, wondering just how much of my power it would take to take him out. I decided it wasn't worth the effort as I stood up, still wearing my street clothes, and conjured up a wind to bear myself, Spidey, and Dr. Xavier back to the school.

still recovering from my last surge of energy, i glance over to spiderman, i notice him talking to a woman, unable to leave where i am, i send out my trusty bird, one more time. this damn thing better work. "spiderman, get your ass over here. I NEED HELP." i scream over the wind. the battle was almost directly above the volcano. not sure if i could handle both of the guys, i just get in attack stance, ready for whatever comes my way, I HOPE.

The wind picked up speed and set the poor bird flapping about uselessly. It tore down giant cobwebs from tree to tree as I dropped Xavier into the hands of a hundred students. They caught him and took him inside. I blew myself and the spiderdude back towards the volcano. "You'd better watch those webs.They burn pretty quick, Spidey."

looking over at spiderman and the lady, they are coming towards the volcano. the closer i get to the volcano the stronger i feel, the lava seems to surge through my veins. lady if you wanna mess with me, my own turf isnt the greatest place to do it. seeing the two men talking in some sort of hurried pace, i use the opportunity to follow the woman and spiderman. i turn my head and notice the men following me, i dont know if i can handle all three versus me, but i can't give up. and ive never felt so much power in my life. using the volcano, i send an earthquake, the men on the ground are being thrown askew all over. the volcano is starting to rumble. i just grin. suddenly as everyone seems to be above the center of the volcano, i look down, the lava flowing freely in the center. my body seems to be vibrating. a loud boom comes from within the volcano. "LET HIM GO." is all i have to say, my voice booming. I feel strangely out of my body, like some sort of dream, yet i have never thought so clearly in my life.

I pulled up slowly, looking down at the bubbling lava. I sucked as much power out of it as I could, quite a bit of the lava evaporating with each breath I took. I was burning so hot that Spidey had to back up. I looked over at that Lava girl and smiled. I turned towards her pursuersand let loose a blast of lightning, adding a little bit of the right elements to all the firepower I held. It exploded upon contact. "Hey! Watch out!" I yelled to her as she turned to stare at me in anstonishment. "They're not paying me enough for this..." I grumbled as released another mighty blast, this one an expanding fireball. Having this unending source of power was making me a little giddy...

Unsure why she told ME to watch out, i jumped aside, it wasnt as though her bolts would have hurt me. they would have been disintegrated before contact. regardless i moved out of the way, she drained energy from my expended lava, and amazingly the lava kept giving off more. my body was pulsating with this tremendous surge. the volcano below me seemed to be churning. turning around and waiting for the two men to make a move, i blow them a kiss and smile.

I shot off another few smaller fireballs, having fun making them weird colors. I grinned at the glowing girl and yelled, "This is fun! We gotta do this more often..."

Spiderman stood watching them from a distance, "Ummm, lava women. I hate to break up the party, but there are evil guys on the island."
He ducked as two huge fireballs went past him. The two women were smiling, Spiderman laughed dryly, before making a small web house.
Lava nodded in agreement, "Spidey's right. Let's go find them. We could use your help Elementa."
Spiderman piped in, "Yeah, we kinda lost last time."
Lava shot him an evil glance.
Spiderman ducked again as another fireball went zooming past him.
"Well we did," he said, getting up a second time.

not quite trusting this woman, i still feel sort of drawn towards her. besides i can handle anything right now. or at least i feel i can. after spidey reminds me that we lost last time i playfully shoot a fire ball towards him. he ducks easily. i'm reminded of the bad fellas still behind us, when i feel a knick in my back. they must have shot me with something. turning around, irritated, i notice the volcano beneath me is spiraling up towards my body. actually i can manipulate it. surprising myself, whatever is going on isnt normal. i notice the two guys standing their, posed and their attacks already on the way.

(*singing along with the Metallica on the radio* when you walk into this restaurant, way out on the road...you feel thier eyes upon you and you just want to explode! most times you can't hear 'em talk... some times you can... make your stand here i am, on the road again, there i am, up on the stage, here i go, playing the stlye i give... there i go, turn the page.... sorry, couldn't help it. *grins* million miles away...echoes of the amplifiers ringing in your head, smoke the day's last ciggarette, rememberin what she said... okay, i'll shut up now!!!)

IC: I backed away from the rising lava swirl and plucked the tiny dart from Lava'a back before any poison could take effect. I stuck it in a pocket and drifted back towards spidey and the other one. I reveiwed my experiments with lightning, wondering if I could electrically charge the entire thing...

I tried, but I wasn't sure if it worked. The effort drained all my power, but everyone's hair was standing on end. The breeze stayed - once my conjurings of power were there, they had to be dismantled by yours truly - but I hung limply in the air...

New bad guy

Name: Damon Solace

Codename: Shayde

Appearance: 5'11", 160 lbs, late twenties. Lank shoulder-length black hair that hangs down over his face. His unshaven features show no emotion, but his cold black eyes betray feelings of rage, sorrow and loneliness. He wears a battered black leather jacket, faded and torn jeans cut/ripped off just below the knee, and a black t-shirt that bears the picture of two cold eyes staring out of the darkness. A single solitary blood red teardrop falls from one of the eyes.

Powers: Shayde has the ability to merge with any body of naturally occuring shadow, in essence becoming shadow himself, invisible and intangible. He can move incredibly quickly through the shadows and can even enter one area of shadow and reappear in/from another, thus giving him limited teleportation. He has no ranged attack form, but can employ a type of nerve/choke/sleeper hold where he sends waves of darkness and pent-up emotion coursing into his victim, rendering them unconscious. He is also capable of taking his victims, or anyone else he is holding, into shadow form with him.

OOC: Well I've looked up a little information on the X-Men so I know a bit more than I did yesterday, and I've arranged to go see the movie this afternoon (how's that for dedication, huh? ) so I should be ready to kick off in character very soon.

Beyond the Moon-Magneto's Base

He turned from the video screen, which still displayed the satellite image of Lava, Elemente and Spiderman; and looked out the viewport of his space platform. Hidden behind the moon, the station had been built to immense propotions. This due to the tireless labor of the Sentinels, ten foot tall robots, ever building...repairing. The man turned from the window, his cape flowing with the motion. The full helmut covering his head couldn't conceal the burning hate in his eyes. This man is the evil mutant Magneto, his mission in life to destroy a species...homo sapiens.
"Amphibius!" A frog like creature jumped to his masters call.
"Yes Master?" The frog stood on all fours, his body green and slimey.
"Prepare a ship, we travel back to Earth immediately. Bring 100 Sentinels, this time we WILL destroy the X-men"

Magneto

I'm pressed down hard into the command chair as the space transport comes to a stop. The deafening roar of the retro jets fades as the humming sound of the repulsors winds up holding the ship a thousand feet above the volcano below.
I watch the view screen and smile. From the satellite feed I see a distorted image of my ship due to the repulsors, and...I spot the X-men.
"There they are, only three I can see. Amphibius, prepare the warhead for launch." The frog like mutant is ulgy, but completely loyal.
"Yes master, it will take a few minutes." He hops away to his task. My mind, second only to that of Professor X in power, reaches out to the x-men. Though they are my mortal enemies, they are Homo Superior, and deserve a chance to live.
"X-men, I the powerful Magneto offer you the chance to survive, join me in my quest to dominate the world...or die in the eruption I will trigger." I press the controls on my chair and 30 Sentinels eject from tubes along the side of my ship. "Robots guard the ship, kill any that approach." I lean back in the command chair and laugh aloud. "Today begins my conquest, and none can stand in my way."

i turn around, and i hear a huge motor, the lava is spiraling around me, sort of like a cage. my hair is wildly blowing around me. my reddish tint is now black. i see elementa and spiderman sort of midair. spidey has made a net between two high trees, he is only a few feet below us. i see some sort of robots, and a huge ship. i just laugh, i destroyed one ship, i don't think this one will be a challenge. i raise my hand out in front of me, a small ball forms, i blow at it as if blowing a kiss. the ball spirals out into the air, stopping in front of the robots. they stare and shoot at it. there attacks are melted away.
"tick tock" and suddenly a loud booming noise fills the air. it exploded like a time bomb. it melted the metal of some of the robots....i think they may be sentinels, i heard xavier talk about them once. some of them short circuited, the others were just blown away from the ship. i move towards the ship. i see elementa taking energy from a nearby stream, the spiral of lava formed from the center of the volcano follows me, encasing me in a revolving 'cage' i get to the window. my heat is beginning to make the ship glow a flaming red hot. after the tint on the windows of the ship burns off, i see a man in the captain's chair. i just smirk. i wave.

Shayde

As the battle rages above the volcano, elsewhere, far away, dark thoughts are taking form.

Deep beneath the earth, there is a room, long forgotten. No path leads there, not any more. Sealed from the world above, the only reminder the quiet thrumming of distant machinery. There is no entrance, no escape, but yet ... within its four walls, something lives. A rhythmic breathing, slow but strong, seems to emanate from every surface, every corner, as if the room itself is alive.

To that which dwells here, this room is a sanctuary, a refuge from the evils of the world. A place where past events are relived, and hatred is bred ... hatred for those who do not understand, and seek to harm the thing they fear. For too long, this has been a place to hide and scheme, but no longer. Now the time for hiding is finally over, and the time for vengeance is close at hand.

Magneto

I eject from the space transport, dropping down beneath the hull. I use my mastery of magnetism on the nickel iron lava spiraling toward me and push it down toward Elemente, away from Lava.
"Fools! I offered you the chance to join me and rule the world! Now I will destroy you along with the humans." I fire blasts of raw magnetic energy at Lava. Controling my Sentinels telepathically, I order 5 to attack Spiderman. They blast toward him using their heel jets and raise their hands to fire percusive blasts.
"Amphibius, fire the missle into the volcano. BHAH HA HA ah...Now feel the ire of Magneto as I cause this volcano to explode, casting mega tons of dust and radiation into the atmoshere"

Ooc: 5 sentinels? I am Spiderman, not SuperBatSpiderman... lol ok I will deal with it.

Spiderman

He quickly webs onto one of the sentinels, crawling up the back. Another one spots him, he takes aim carefully, and at the last seconds Spiderman leaps to the ground.
The sentinel erupts into fire and falls to the ground, Spiderman quickly looks at the drop, realizing there is lava on the ground.
"Think fast spidey..."
He grabns just the right wind and let's his webbing fly. It glides in the air, as if a bird. He hopes that it will hit something, otherwise he is going to be one toasted...
IT grabs onto the hand of another sentinel. Spiderman swings low, too low, he can fell his suit starting to melt (isn't it cotton? ok burn, fell really hot, let's use that one). He swings back up. The sentinel fires, cutting the webbing in two. He crashes into a tree.
He is alive, but not safe. The other four begin to advance on him, firing as they do.
Spiderman switches his webbing, from a single piece to a wide spray. He fires it at two sentinels. The webbing spreads out, grabbing onto both of their feet.
He turns the cartridge back, and with a single swoosh, passes between both of them. The two sentinels turn, and crash into each other, in a series of explosions.
"Never send a man to do a spider's job."
He turns around, looking at the other two. They fire, he dodges from tree to tree. He doesn't know that to do.
"Wait, the volcanoe."
HE easily makes his way to the top. There is one side that isn't completely covered in lava. Spiderman reaches it, looking back.
They come, right on schedule. Spiderman waits until they come over the lip, then grabs one of them, swinging low again. The fumes pouring up from the pit give Spiderman a queasy feeling. He can hear shots all around him.
Spiderman turns back, looking at their feet. He uses the wide spray again, aiming it at the jets.
IT works...
They webbing jams both of the sentinels, and they slowly fall into the pit, exploding on contact. Spiderman rolls to the other side, barely making it.
He stands, up, out of breath.
"Thats all you got..."
His suit was burned, torn, and missing his entire right sleeve. This was his favorite one too, damn sentinels.
Spiderman lay on his back, trying to catch his breath.
"Some robots just never learn..."

Magneto

I hear the sound of Amphibius launching the missle into the volcano and after quickly giving Lava another energy blast I reenter my ship. I fire the blast jets hurling the space ship into the sky.
"How long Amphibius?" The frog creature jumps to my side.
"Three minutes tops Master till the nuclear warhead explodes. Where to now Master?" I smile at my loyal slave.
"Japan Amphibius, we have 5 more volcano's to explode. Then the world will suffer a long dark winter." Amphibius joins me in laughter as our space ship heads for orbit.

New Character

New Character: Mark Rhoades

6'3", around 220 lbs, medium brown hair, eyes that change colors daily. Well built, but scholarly.

Rhoades is a former NHL goalie who quit professional hockey as he discovered that he had latent mutant powers: super-strength and agility (which are mentally activated), and the ability to accelerate or deaccelerate time as he sees fit. After quitting, he went into hiding with his wife of 2 years, who is a telekinetic mutant. Rhoades has just recently heard broadcasts from Professor X calling all mutants into duty to help protect from Magneto's threats.

ooc: I put this post in the wrong place at first, but I'm learnin'!

IC: I turned to Catherine and said, "Please, don't tell me I can't go! I've got to go! Something...awakened in me, and you can't deny it!" Catherine just blushed and spoke indistinctly. I spoke to her, saying, "Yeah, you remember last night, don't you. Or should I say early this morning?!" She smiled at me and spit out the words, "Yeah. I haven't been fucked for that long since the day you found out that you got on the team! But, do you really have to go? I don't want you to leave!" I grimaced and turned my head, saying "I think...it's my destiny...Yea, I know how that sounds." I then gathered up my bag and spoke to no one in particular, "Don't try to contact me. Ok?" I think I did that to partly reassure myself. But she nodded, and started sobbing. She must have powers I didn't know about, because I swear that she might have seen ahead into the future, and she knew what I was gonna get myself into. The bad thing was, she might have been the only one...

i see someone eject from the seat. the fool. i notice sentinels going after spiderman, i sure hope he can handle them. morphing into liquid lava, i quickly slip behind the man, he doesn't notice me, he is giving orders to sentinels. he feels the heat radiating from my body, im more than a few feet away. i see him turn around. i morph back into human/lava form. i grin, i run quickly through the air, the spiral still encasing me, landing a quick kick to his chest, he hurtles through the air. a burn mark in the shape of my foot on his chest. i raise my hands above my head, as my hands raise, so does the lava in the volcano. i send a spiral, that has begun to form beneath us, around him. i begin to make it circle tighter and tighter. "you messed with the wrong people." i see him gear up for another attack, the last attack he shed on me had burned up before reaching me, but he seems to be a smart fella. raising my hand to my lips as if blowing a kiss (guys this seems to be my trademark) i lightly blow. small droplets of lava are suspended in the air, all around him. closing my fist they all gather together, with the man as their center. i see his eyes open in horror, the spiral encasing him follows him, as well as the droplets. my powers may be limited to manipulating lava, but i use them wisely. my body is blackened due to my intense heat. i see the man cringing as i get near him, he is trying to attack the lava surrounding him to get away, burning himself in the process. i glide closer, inches from him body, i can see his suit starting to burn, he stops it somehow. my face inches from his, i just smirk. "im lava, i thought id introduce myself." i laugh, closing my fist even tighter the lava surrounds us. the droplets form a huge bubble around us. he can't get out, but im trapped in their too.

OOC: You haven't seen the likes of me yet.

IC:I felt myself drawn back from the ship. The heat was intense, only my battle armor saved me from severe burns.
The girl is strong, but so am I.
"Lava, I have under estimated your powers. This will not happen again. But you must learn not to under estimate mine!" I radiate a massive magnetic charge which explodes the lava droplets hurling them in all directions. Freed from the lava I fire a blast of energy which strikes Lava in the midsection. "Without your lava around you your not that strong, are you?" I fly to her and grab her. My glove smoulders with the heat.
"You have less than 2 minutes now and the warhead will explode." I touch he blackened cheek. "Have fun." I use my magnetic power to attach to my ship as it begins to move away. Looking down I see spiderman has destroyed the Sentinels. "Good work Spiderman, now die in the nuclear inferno. And where has Elementa gone, has she fled already?"

OOC: I figured I would come in handy soon!

IC: I sat in the airport, waiting for my flight. As I read my copy of GQ (yes, I like to dress stylishly, is there anything wrong with that?), I noticed that I was getting a weird feeling from my surroundings. After signing a few autographs for the appriciative fans, I snuck away to a corner and started to recieve the mutant transmissions that were floating around. As I listened on, I noticed A LOT of anger and anxiousness from my fellow friends. I then called Professor X on his private line. He answered with a grimace in his voice.
"Hello, Professor X?"
"Yes this is Xavier. State your name and intentions!"
"Geez, X! I didn't know I was wanted! This is Thrasher. I'm calling on account that I've been picking up a lot of nervous mutants and I wanted to know where I was supposed to go to help."
"I'm sorry, Thrasher. I've been really tense lately. All of my X-men(and women) are out fighting presently. Even Spiderman is helping out."
"Well...Is there anything that I can do to help?"
"Yes. I need you to get to where LavaGoddess and Spiderman are presently fighting. Since this line might be tapped, I can't give out their location. Once there, you-- Wait! I just heard something from LavaGoddess! Magneto has just unleashed one of his huge missiles towards Earth! Go quickly to them!"
"I will, Professor. Goodbye!"
I hung up and gathered my bags. This seemed very urgent, so I paged Iceman and waited for him to come pick me up.
