Yet More Fantasy Avatars! ('cause the other thread was getting to damn long)

Forgive me if you have seen these before, I tried, but I couldn't go through 65 pages of pics.

yeah, i donno why it did that.... but before making new posts, i'll chenge those. sound fair?

Certain sites have embedded software that prevents piracy of their images. I presume that's what's at work here, that this logo is being displayed in place of the original image to prevent it's unauthorized copying.

Ok, I'm a blonde, walk me through this:

You go to a page, like the pic, so you do what?

copy the site where the pic is, and go to post, and then hit the IMG button, paste the site, and post!

Grrrrr, I'm not that blonde. I tried that. I mean, how to you isolate the pic from the rest of the page, text and stuff?

not sure if this is what you mean but just right click and hit save picture as.

no, then you have to attach it. as far as i know, the pic has to be by itself on the page.

Don't hit save as. That just saves the pic to your hard drive, and I presume you're trying to link it directly and have it show up in the body of the post.
Most sites have borders around their pics. They're indistinguishable to the eye most of the time, but if you right click it should automatically select the pic that you're situated upon. (You won't see the result of this until you submit it to Lit and then see the final page, but it should post without all the text and other crap from the other site)
Depending on your browser, the next step goes by different names.
With AOL, hit properties, then copy the text that precedes the .jpg or .gif. If you're using netscape or internet explorer, just hit copy image location.
Next, paste it into the image button on the lit page, and you should be good to go.

Crys--

I'm guessing most if not all of these pics came from sites that have thumbnails on their art galleries (at least the ones from metal and magic do)

Would you mind terribly to post links to those galleries? It would be much friendlier to those with pesky 56k and slower dial up connections...

thanks :rose:

then you find them there. these are all quality and doing it this way, actually saves time on your part lol

not really, khad

In here i take 10-15 minutes to load one goddamned page, but if I knew the galleries they came from I could just see the thumbnail and download just the ones I wanted...
