When you have a major emotional breakdown in a car park in front of a bunch of strangers because you've necked what must have been an entire bottle of wine in 10 seconds flat and then comes up with a whole host of explanations other than "you're an overwrought, tightly wound lush"...apparently, the wine must have been "off"...
