well, if you want more Rice, you should of course start with Interview With the Vampire and then Vampire Lestat (although..I didn't even read these...I pretty much went right into Queen of the Damned..which the movie BUTCHERED *evil, disgusted face*)
Queen is a really good read...gets to the heart of the matter..how they all came to be in the first place.

I enjoyed The Vampire Armand as well
and for other Rice stories...I really enjoyed her Mayfair Witch books. Looking forward to reading Merrik which combines both the Mayfair and the vampires.

i remember same thing happened with me and "great expectations"
by charles dickens, the book was so beautiful, and the movie,
well, aside from having two hotties (ethan hawke + gwyneth paltrow)
was a major letdown... for me anyway.
