🌞Do You Make Your Bed Every Day?

I’d say it’s done 99% of the time. When I’m home, I always make it. When I travel, I sometimes just pull the sheets and covers up a bit and let the housekeeping service make it but even that’s rare.

My friends think I’m crazy for making it while on the road because housekeeping just remakes it anyways, which yeah it may be weird, but I’ve made my bed every morning since I was a child and it’s just a habit. It’s the first thing I feel accomplished with in the morning and at the end of the day, there’s just something I like about crawling into a bed that isn’t messy.

I leave that for the upstairs maid which means around 3 pm or so I finally get around to making it since I have no upstairs or upstairs maid.

Not everyone has a bed to sleep on.

But if I did, I'd try to make it up daily. No promises.

Good God no.

I'm barely coherent first thing in the morning, how dare you suggest I perform some mechanical task

I don't own a bed. However, I have a couple of sleeping bags that I fill with padding. Everyday when I wake up I'll disassemble the whole setup and Fold It neatly in the corner of the room.

i do. i like to get into a made bed at night. also i think of it as a metaphor for the choices in my life. so i choose wisely most of the time...lol

I once heard an interview with an SF commander who recommended it. For him it was a mindset thing: regardless of anything else that happened that day, that was one success to start it off.

the irony that this is the thread above the "You might be too good for me if" thread at this moment (at least until I post this) is funny.

The answer is, sometimes..runs in cycles.

I only have a duvet. But I leave rolled to one side as I read that a made bed is a good environment for various bedbugs.

Which is fortunate, because now there is an excuse for what I was always going to do 🤣
