Day 22: A song from the 70s

I was obsessed with the Hurricane movie when I was young, the one with Denzel Washington. This song was my real introduction to Dylan's music, and it's still one I come back to from time to time. It's Dylan at his best; his voice is for once not annoying, the writing and story telling are top notch, and the violin solos by Scarlet Rivera are just chef's kiss!

Rubin's trials were absolute shits hows. The racism, the witness coercion, the blatant lies by officers... But on the other hand, the circumstantial physical evidence against him could be stacked sky-high. He was, without a doubt, wrongfully convicted. But was he truly innocent? Jury's still out.

Day 23: A song from the 80s

Has this song been chosen for decades week before? Probably. Did you know Billy Idol was asked to sing this song and declined? Yep! He does eventually sing it in 2001.

This song is probably the most 80's song that ever 80'd. Along with the movie it was written for.

Tell me your troubles and doubts
Giving everything inside and out and
Love's strange, so real in the dark
Think of the tender things
that we were working on
Slow change may pull us apart
When the light gets into your heart, baby

Day 23: A Song From The 80s
This is my wheelhouse. I can pick so many 80s songs. But this is my favorite band and I tried to go a little different since me and a couple others have hit the Maiden catalog on this thread!

Iron Maiden, Tailgunner
