Day 30: A song from your favorite band
Today we're defining "favorite band" as the one whose tour dates I check most often to see when they're in my area. If you have any interest at all in folk music, you won't find anyone better. These guys write some beautiful songs and have some of the tightest harmonies you'll ever hear.

Day 30: A song from your favorite band

Like so many others in the thread, it's impossible to pick a favorite band..
It changes from day to day, mood to mood, you know the drill.

So let's go with favorite punkband! Because fuck me do I love punk.
Look at Johnny's power stance!! He's the embodiment of cool

Ramones - She's The One

Love that and love the Ramones.

Found this shirt at an antique store and gave it to my wife. She liked it so much, we hung it up in our music room.

Day 30: A song from your favorite band

Like others, I definitely don't have *a* favorite band, and I've used some of my other favorites as recently as this month. Honestly, I'm so fucking predictable. ๐Ÿ˜„

But I found this band at the beginning of their career, and I've always enjoyed so much of what they did - lyrically, sonically, etc. It's hard to believe this song is more than 15 years old. But the dissonant notes and the topic both make this song feel heavier than it is.

The impossible prompt!

Like y'all, I can't claim to have a favorite band.. In fact, I've only once ever claimed to have a favorite, and it was The Who.

The second hardest part of this prompt is picking just one song...

This was the song that got me hooked. There are others I wish I could also share to showcase my deep appreciation for the depths and variety their music gives to me.

Baba O'Reilly - The Who

Like everyone else, I have so many favorite bands... This is my favorite band from the 90s, so I'll answer the challenge that way and go with them. The soft vocals that give way to Layne's powerful delivery... what a great song!

"Hey hey, I can't meet you here tomorrow
Say goodbye, don't follow
Misery so hollow"

They've done some nice collaborations with Heather Maloney as well.

Well,my first favorite, at least. I have loved these guys since I was in single digits. Wonderful live as well.

This is a great song that never gets air play or talked about. Queen had a bunch of different phases, from prog to rock to disco. This is a Freddie Mercury penned song from their rock phase off of the underrated A Day at the Races, and it shows all of them at their best, especially the play between Brian and Deacy. It is playful and fun, and I love it.

The who, the kinks, the stones - the holy trinity for me.

Day 25: A song that reminds you of good times

In the mid-80s when I lived in the dorm, quiet hours on Friday ended at 3:00 pm. I always celebrated the end of every academic week with beer(s) and this song, teed up to play exactly at 3:00. I still get goose bumps when I think of the crackle of the stylus hitting this vinyl.

Some seasonal catch-up.

Day 26: A song that reminds you of Winter
โ€œCurses the cold in Minnesota
Why's it always so damn cold?
He's got a job to do
He does it for me and you
And the red, and the white, and the blue
Because he knows he's got to curl
(Curl, come on, baby, put the rock in the house)โ€

Day 27: A song that reminds you of Spring

When I think of spring, I think of spring break. And who can think of print break without thinking of Girls Gone Wild?

Day 28: A song that reminds you of Summer

There ainโ€™t no cure for the Summertime Blues.

Day 29: A song that reminds you of Fall

When I think of fall, I think of sweater weather.
