This is not my usual direction but this music and the rest of the NFL films classical highlight music and John Facenda's unmistakable voice will forever make me think of fall.

As so many others have said, it is very difficult to choose a favorite artist. I chose this song because it shows off some of the range of Elvis. This isn't the edgy rebel rocker, this sounds like you walked into a smokey lounge in a sketchy neighborhood.

Day 30: A song from your favorite band

This is not hard for me. Top 5 would be hard for me. But the top? The #1? My absolute favorite? There’s no contest. There’s no band I have listened to anywhere near as much as I have listened to Bright Eyes. It’s a personal love. I rarely recommend Bright Eyes to someone, unless they have a really similar taste in music to me. It’s not that I don’t want others to listen to them, I just don’t love them in the way that I think their music is so amazing that everyone needs to listen to it and love it. I love them in the way that their music has meant SO much to me over the years. I could post a song of theirs for every day of the month and still not get to all of my favorites. Here’s one:

They broke up in 2013 and have gotten back together...the prompt says no bands that have broken up by death, if we eliminate bands that have broken up and gotten back together the pool is fairly small. Didn't want to go with something as easy as the beatles or abba.

Not sure I’d say I wish they were STILL together, it’s okay to retire at some point musicians. But I do wish they had made more than the two fantastic albums they did make before breaking up.

I know they technically keep getting back together but I’m going to assume they’ve broken up again after Perry Farrell just punched Dave Navarro on stage but their energy never was the same after their first break up in 1991.

I have mixed feelings about this but their music is so good. Morrissey is highly offensive more often than he's not and yet, The Smiths in concert would be incredible. Nostalgia is a helluva a drug
